This cookbook has a recipe for each state, so there is a mix of lunch/dinner recipes and desserts. Every recipe starts out with an introduction, and almost every recipe has a photo, which is a huge plus for me. Next is the ingredient list, and some of the recipes do not require a lot of ingredients, but there are others where you make your own seasonings or sauces, which doubles the ingredients needed. However, the directions are numbered, which makes the recipe easier to follow. Furthermore, each recipe includes nutrition information, and I do not necessarily use this information, but others may find this helpful. It is not a bad cookbook at all.

Interesting and fun recipes, I'm definitely going to try out the dessert recipes in this book. I've never heard of Grape Nuts before and now I'm so intrigued to find out what they are. I'm definitely going to be making the Mississippi Mud Pie, maybe I'll make that this summer. And being a New Yorker they got Buffalo, New York spot on with the chicken wings.

This was an interesting compilation of recipes from around the U.S. I will be trying some of these for my family.

I gifted this book to a foreign exchange student who enjoyed cooking while he stayed with my brother and sister-in-law. It was a big hit.
