Ryohgo Narita (成田 良悟, Narita Ryōgo) is a Japanese light novelist. He won the Gold Prize in the 9th Dengeki Novel Prize for Baccano!, which was made into a TV anime in 2007.[1] His series Durarara!! was also made into a TV anime, which began airing January 2010

There are two traits found in most of Narita's works:
* Narita writes extremely fast, one volume a month if he wishes - with tons of spelling errors and missing words as a tradeoff. The editors like to leave them sometimes just for fun, though.
* His work titles often have an exclamation mark at the end (i.e. Baccano!, Vamp!, Durarara!!, etc.).

Kanji names:

I saw someone call this a well written fanfic and I couldn’t agree more. Even though she only gets to shine in this novel, Mukuro is one of my favorite characters in this series! Cheesy ’feel good’ endings just make me really happy, okay?

Out of all the Danganronpa novels that could receive an official English translation, they went with the one that's not even canon???

Even though it makes me a bit sad that they chose to make an official translation of a book that is not cannon instead of the Kirigiri, Togami, Zero (etc) light novel; it still is pretty fun.
In Danganronpa THH, you barely get to know Mukuro Ikusaba; but here you get to understand and even like her. You get to read this novel in about an hour if you're a fast reader since it is quite short, but that does not change the fact that you will really enjoy this extra unlocked after completing Super Danganronpa 2.

Je tu IF. Skvělé a pro fanouška Danganronpy must read.

Me recordó porqué me gusta daganronpa 💕

Even IF a parallel world exists where a particular IF actually happened, humans cannot cross the boundaries between worlds that easily. No matter how far IF goes, it will always be a What-IF scenario.

Truth be told, I do not consider Danganronpa games, short stories or light novels to have superb writing and they require a bigger suspension of disbelief than most dystopic works at times (why, can you tell that I am still salty about the Madarai octuplets and their design?), which is probably why my reading experience for either is not high. Yet I love this franchise so damn much for its ideas and for its characters (in spite of the fact that they have, in my mind, trademarked the word despair); this one follows one of the more underdeveloped ones (at least if you have ever only played games).

Sit back, enjoy superhuman performances, migraines from trying to understand the Despair Sisters' relationship and overall a somewhat canonical fanfiction where none of your favourite THH characters really die, because this did not happen, and we can only dream of it.

...[she] hid her face with her hands.
Was she smiling because hope was waiting for her?
Or was she crying because her path would lead to despair?
When she lowered her hands, her face was devoid of all emotion. Mukuro no longer knew what expression she would wear on her face.

This was a lot shorter than I was expecting, but I really enjoyed the peak at the what if.

Ikusaba knew that not even she herself was her own ally. After all, despite the fact that Junko had betrayed her and very nearly killed her, Ikusaba still believed that she was the only one who could understand her little sister. And that was why she felt that she had to protect her. That's right… you were just being you, Junko. You just wanted despair, right? It's because you love me. You wanted to kill me and fall into despair. That must have been it. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't grant you that despair, little sis.
At the same time, she wondered--if she was able to, by some miracle, save Makoto Naegi and foil her sister's plans, wouldn't Junko fall into even greater despair? Wouldn't that make her even happier?
"That's why… I'll take responsibility. I'll make you happy, Junko. I'll make you despair. I'll save Naegi-kun… I'll make sure none of our friends die. I'll get them all out of here. And I'll kill every last one of the ones on the outside. You planned this for years and killed so many people to make this work… so I'll destroy every last trace of it." She was not driven by resentment at the sister who abandoned her. Ikusaba would do all this for her sister's sake.
-Anyway. Boring as hell as a fanfic with a mediocre writing style, but at least it gives us some insight into Ikusaba's character.

so this is like an AU fanfiction of danganronpa (though it was included in the second game, so i guess it's like an official fanfiction?) where makoto gets a button from the monokuma machine that brings back his memories. everything is set pre the first murder and it definitely feels like it was written by someone involved in the games. we also didn't know that much about mukuro ikusaba from THH but now i LOVE her ! she's pretty much the main character here and we get to know a lot from her perspective

Really enjoyed this, much better than Zero (although that might have been just because it was a better translation), slightly fanficy and obviously AU but a really nice bit of bonus content for this universe with the added benefit of not massively ripping your heart out!

Also, enjoyed reading it as the bonus feature of Danganronpa 2 - the changing backgrounds and familiar music really added to the experience.

All I thought when I was reading this was, "thank goodness this isn't canon!" But in a way I guess it is canon, a fanfiction in which it's existence can be considered canon in the Danganronpa universe...

Either way it was an okay read, and it was interesting to get to know Mukuro more, even if it was in a completely alternate universe.

I think this is a really interesting take on what would've happened if Makoto had used the escape button.

But it also does favours for the lore and the characters, so it's definitely still worth reading despite its non-canon status. Mukuro and Sakura, in particular, are both highlights in particular here.

Banco
