First book by this author. It was a great read. I liked Roxie she was interesting and her story pulled you in. She went through a great deal and wanted to help others. She wanted to help Lily and that is where a big plot hole appeared and my 5 star went to 4. She started off well, but then Lily's story got lost and Roxie was having sex with Cross. We never heard of Roxie actually counseling Lily or really talking to her till the very end. It was almost like once Cross and Roxie got together, Rox ...more
3.75 stars for me. This is the first book I have read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised with the unique approach and her writing skills. That's not to say I didn't have some problems with the book. At times the dialogue just didn't seem to fit the story about a hard core 1% MC. Then there was the restored old mansion where one of the patch holders had to cook meals and serve them in a formal dining room. Cross meets Roxie when she becomes his daughter's school counselor. Lilly, the d ...more

Loved this book. I always enjoy MC books and this was one of the better books I have read in awhile.
The author gives great character development and all the background you need to understand what is happening to Roxie, Cross and Lily.
As I was reading I could fell the heartache and loneliness Roxie was going through from the beginning of the book almost to the end.
You could picture Lily rolling her eyes at everyone and just trying to get her father's attention and being scared that she might loos

this is the first book of the new Devil's Nightmare MC series. And OMG it was wonderful
Cross is the Pres of this MC and the son of a Preacher, he has this name for a reason, All the people he has
killed would fill a cemetery, His MC is known for being assassins and Cross is the best
at what they do. But things have changed for Cross when his ex shows up with his daughter

Lena Bourne does again with another hot, steamy, heart pounding great read about a MC prez, Cross, and his daughter's new guidance counsellor, Roxie. When Roxie first sees Cross in front of her new school, the memories she has tried to suppress about her past comes rushing back to her along with an intense attraction to him. When Cross meets his daughter's new counsellor he can't believe it's the same beautiful woman he saw the other day and now he wants her even more and he always gets what he ...more

Roxie lost everything the night a rival MC came to her house and slaughtered her father, brother and all the members of Satan's Wolves, which was the MC her dad was president of. She's been running and hiding for six years. She struggled to put herself through college with the help and inspiration of a social worker who found her living on the streets. She finally gets to start a new job at a junior high school as a guidance counselor. On her first day she sees Cross, President of the Devil's Ni ...more
Romance Between The Sheets
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Cross and it was my first book by this author. Beginning with a traumatic event for Roxie and entwining to current day with suspense.

It was fantastic to follow as all the pieces of the puzzle started to form. Paced perfectly and kept me entertained and wanting to turn those pages and not leave the characters.

Their romance has a slow build up at the start as Roxie really fought the pull of returning to what she grew up in. Cross was definitely the alpha male protector

I read the other MC books by Lena and I have to say, I LOVED this book and can not wait to see where this group goes. Yes, I did have to go back and make sure I was reading the first book since Cross does take you "back" in time to when things happen with his daughter. But that is due to the last set of books with the Viper's guys. But you DO NOT have to read those books to highly enjoy this book.
Cross is a wonderful father for as much as he wants to get involved. Lily understands what is going

This story is sort of a spinoff of the Viper’s Bite MC series even though you do not need to have read them to read this story. I have read all of this author’s MC books and I have never been disappointed in any of them. This is another good story. Cross is a preacher’s son who is now the President of the Devil’s Nightmare MC. He finds he is dad and his daughter is having trouble in school. Roxie is the new guidance counselor at the school Lily goes to. Roxie is hiding from Lizard, who is Presid ...more

Cross is the President of the Devil’s Nightmare MC and is the son of a Preacher. He has just found out that he has a 12 year old daughter named Lily when his ex-girlfriend dropped her off and left.

Roxie’s father was the President of an MC until six years ago when she was 21 a rival club attached and killed her family and took her as their woman. She managed to escape and has built a new life for herself as a junior high school guidance counselor but she lives a quiet life so they don’t find out

Another amazing MC romance from Lena Bourne. The characters are interesting and suck you into their lives. The drama in this story is intense and you become vested in the outcome. Cross and Roxie are attracted to each other with such lust and passion but, that quickly gives way to deeper emotions and connections. Cross's daughter, Lily is a tough little girl with too much loss in her short life that you just want to hug her.

The action of the story is fast paced and nerve-wrecking with a couple o

Lena's books keep getting better and better!! Rosie used to be a MC daughter till her father, his whole club and her brother were killed by a rival club. She escaped and slowly created a new life for herself, not letting anyone know where she came from for fear of the rival club coming after her. She now works as a counselor at a middle school. There she meets Lily, a 12 year old with a chip on her shoulder the size of Texas. When Rosie wants a meeting with Lily's father, Cross, she finds a sexy ...more

I can't get enough of Lena Bourne's Devil's Nightmare MC books! This book draws you in from page one. After losing her family, Roxie lives a lonely life, not wanting to go through losing anyone she loves again. Then she lands a job as a guidance counselor at a junior high school and comes face to face with the president of a MC and instantly feels that pull toward him and that familiar life. Cross has no intention of tying himself to one woman, but he cannot deny the pull he feels toward Roxie. ...more

A very exciting and entertaining MC romance by Lena Bourne. Great writing, great characters.
You just gotta love a ruthless MC president. I liked how Roxie wasn't the ordinary "good girl" only her dire circumstances made her choose a rather dull existence in order to stay alive. I liked how Cross wanted to be a good father. I also liked everything he did for Roxie to show her that even though her fears may be valid but the MC life was in her blood and she couldn't find a more devoted partner anyw

Lena Bourne knows how to write a brilliant MC romance and Cross is absolutely no exception to this.

Cross and Roxie make such a great couple that despite all of the issues thrown in their path, Lena guides us through a tale of love, tragedy, action and drama. Roxie's identification with Lily simply makes her love, understanding and revelations of a past she thought she left behind makes this a beautifully written MC novel that I hope is only the beginning of a new MC series by Lena Bourne.

This book is such an enjoyable read with the well planned out plot that grips you from the very first page and the characters are so well detailed that I felt like I was standing in the character's living room watching Cross's and Roxie's story unfold! There's a reason Lena Bourne is one of my favorite authors, she writes amazing stories that grab you at the beginning and keeps you turning the pages until the end. Cross is the first book in the steamy and suspenseful Devil's Nightmare MC series. It's well-written, has a great storyline, and steamy scenes.

I was able to read an ARC of this book, and glad for the chance. It has been a while since I read the other books that past items are referring to but it started to fall into place. I cheered and cried reading and enjoyed each page.

I throughly enjoyed this book! I read the synopsis when it popped up in my suggestions and just went. Didn’t look to read reviews or what not.. and thank god I didn’t. This book was everything I like in an MC. Starts out emotionally, ends peacefully. 5 stars. No question.

Hoping for more

Reading the blurb, I had high hopes for Cross. Unfortunately, the book fell short. It just seemed to drag on, and about halfway through, I started to skim. I don't know if I'll continue with the series.

What I think about this books is that it was boring to be a MC Romance. The men were to tame for me. Lot of things was left out. The heroine is a guidance counselor to the hero daughter and she wanted to help her. But after getting with the hero, the daughter seem she was drop by the waste side.

Fast paced, steamy romantic MC suspense, in which the lead characters must deal with the trauma of losing families and the risks -- and joys -- of creating new ones. Well written story that grabbed my attention and held it to the end. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
