… But perhaps a Scotsman can.

Elizabeth watches intrigued as the Highlander of her dreams, a Scotsman named Hamish Robb, arrives to oversee her season at the behest of her cousin, the Duke of Caithness. Eli

This book was delightful. I love this series so much and I was thrilled when I realized this had been released. My only complaint was the length, IMO it was wayyyy too short. While the other books in the series also have little offshoots and hints of the other books happening throughout, it was different this time. It felt like two novellas occurring at the same time. Complete with the falling in love/sex scene/marriage of two different couples. Okay, scratch that. Almost three. There was a lot ...more

'The Highlander Is All That' by Sabrina York is Book 3.5 in The "Untamed Highlanders" series. This is the story of Elizabeth St. Claire and Hamish Robb.
Lizzie and her sisters are a distant cousin to the Scottish Duke of Caithness and would like to see them married. Although Lord Twiggenberry is wanting to make a match with Lizzie she does not want to be with him. Lizzie as a little girl had went to Scotland where that has set in her mind that she like it there along with the men there. Hamish ha

I love this book! Anne, Elizabeth, Victoria and Mary live in London with their Aunt Esmeralda as their parents are deceased. They are distantly related to the Scottish Duke of Caithness who would like to see them find husbands. He sends Hamish Robb and Ranald Gunn, Baron of Bower, to watch over them and scrutinize their suitors. Elizabeth is the main heroine, but all the sisters find their true love. It’s one of the things I enjoyed about this book – more than one HEA.

This book is the much awaited follow up to the novella "The Scot Says I Do" in Say Yes to the Scot: A Highland Wedding Box Set in which we met the St. Claire sisters. This book not only brings back her Untamed Highlanders, but also several of the characters from her Noble Passions series.

The primary hero/heroine in this book are Elizabeth St. Claire and Hamish Robb, but there is a very strong secondary romance between Anne St. Claire and Ranald Gunn, Baron of Bower, as well as secondary-secondar

Pick a chair and this book, and prepare to be delighted and amused. Hamish and Ranald are to serve as emissaries in the Duke of Cathness’ stead, to oversee the seasons for the Duke’s newfound cousins. Anne, Elizabeth, Victoria and Mary are living in the Duke’s house, supervised by their aunt Esmerelda. The Duke has provided them money for the season and it’s accoutrements, as well as dowries, to see these girls wed and happy. But, the Scotsmen in London, especially during the season, are sure to ...more

Delightfully entertaining book with something for everyone – what is not to love. Kidnappings, elopements, and romance – Oh! My!

The four St. Claire sisters, Anne, Elizabeth, Victoria, and Mary are cousins to Lachlan Sinclair, the Duke of Caithness. When their parents died, their dreams of a season died as well – until the Duke took an interest in them and provided them with dowries and a season. They live, in London, with their aunt, Esmeralda Van Cleve who is a society maven. She will stop at

A wonderful romp!

What a giddy, hilarious bunch of young women are the St Claire sisters. I loved them and their quasi dragon Aunt Esmerelda, a powerful member of the ton.
And it's into this household two Scots are sent by the Duke of Caithness to stand in for him and chaperone his cousins during their London season. Well all that 'standing in' doesn't quite go to plan.
Elizabeth St. Claire is enchanted by the idea of all things to do with the Highlands and when Hamish Robb arrives she attracted t

The Highlander Is All That is my first book to have read by Sabrina York and it certainly won't be my last!!!
This wonderful story of four sisters attending their first season in London looking to find a husband under the patronage of their cousin the Duke of Caithness was a very funny and entertaining read. It's focused around Elizabeth and Hamish a friend of the Duke who has been sent in his stead with another scotsman Ranald who is a Lord to protect the ladies while attending the many parties

This is one of those books that you start and don't want to stop reading. I loved all the characters. The 4 St Claire sisters all have minds of their own and although they are being sponsors for the season by their cousin a Scottish Duke they want to marry for love not money or title.
When the Duke can't attend the season because his wife is increasing he sends two Highland substitutes. Although the girls' aunt is disappointed. The girls are delighted and as soon as the men walk through the door

I've read a number of Sabrina York's historical romances but I hadn't tried out any of the Untamed Highlander series. While there are 3 already in the series, you don't need to have read them. Other couples are mentioned here and there but it doesn't seem pivotal to the story. In The Highlander Is All That, there are actually two love stories going on. The story centers around 4 sisters and mainly on the 2 older sisters Anne and Elizabeth. Baron Bower and Hamish have been sent by their cousin to ...more

I loved this book! There is witty dialogue, sexy Scots and an emotional roller coaster for Elizabeth and Hamish. Elizabeth St. Claire dreads the Season having to deal with arrogant and sometimes smelly lords all vieing for her hand. She feels nothing for any of them. No man stirs her passion until two Scotsman arrive to act as their guardians on behalf of the duke who could not attend the Season himself. Elizabeth is immediately taken with Hamish and he with her.

Sabrina York has hit another one out of the park with The Highlander Is All That. I'm giving this book 5 stars, only because I can't give it 6. Ms York has delivered a well-written book. Her characters are truly amazing in this book. Kudos to Ms York for the characters and dialog in this fun book. Buckle your seat belts for the rollercoaster ride that is Elizabeth and Hamish's story. There is plenty of drama, action, suspense and sizzle that will hold readers hostage to their e-readers. As an ad ...more

YAY! Hamish gets his own story. I have been begging for this story since the second book in the series. Fanastic story and great characters. You really get a two-fer in this book (really two major romances and two much smaller ones). Hamish and Elizabeth, Ranald and Anne, two couples who live life to the fullest and love just as hard. The best part of the book – lots of dialog – some funny, some sad but all engaging. Highlanders, what are you to do with them? Anything your heart desires!

Hamish is a man who defends himself, “that is no’ true. Scotsmen are the most devoted lovers!” Elizabeth is a curious one, "did Hamish wear anything under his kilt? She would have to be sure to ask." Not only do we get to see Hamish and Elizabeth we get to see Anne and Ranald so like a two for one book, and Ranald is just as passionate as Hamish is with his woman, “well, hell, woman,” he barked. “Why did you no’ say something sooner?” Then he whipped her up into his arms, carried her across the ...more

LOVED this book! It's another sexy romance with a Scottish Highlander written as only the Queen of Hotness herself can write. I loved the characters and the way the author immersed me in their story and the time period. Anytime a woman is feeling unappreciated or having poor options, all we need to do is to read one of these books and see what it's really like to have no options.

There's just something about the author's Highlanders that reaches right out of the pages to grab my attention and hol

Alright, first of all, this book was fun to read. I wanted to kick the one or the other highlander's lovely back every now and then and then there was this time where I wanted to do so much more to the one or the other lord...
But let's start at the beginning when two brawny Scots instead of one duke arrive and well, things start to happen rather quickly. And somehow dear Aunt Esmeralda, the chaperone of said duke's cousins, might have a very different idea of an excellent match than her four you

The Highlander Is All That by Sabrina York
Untamed Highlanders #3.5

The St. Claire sisters find themselves on the marriage market in London waiting for their cousin, a Scottish Duke, to arrive to make their entrance into society of greater standing. He does not show up and instead sends two Scotsmen in his place to act as guards. Four sisters will eventually find men to love but perhaps not with men they thought they would end up with when the season begins. There is romance and a kidnapping or tw

Elizabeth and her sisters are beginning their first season at the direction of their cousin a Scottish duke. While Elizabeth isn’t averse to finding a husband, what she really wants is a Scotsman. Hamish and his friend are sent to London to act as emissaries for the duke in overseeing the St. Claire’s girls as they are led by their aunt on a husband hunt.

This was a fun, engaging story set in London, with a couple of rogue Highlanders thrown in the mix to make things interesting. Having read the previous three books in the Untamed Highlanders series, I knew I would enjoy the banter between the main characters and hearing about our previous heroes and heroines again. This took me back to Sabrina York's first book in the series, which captured my attention and heart, and I know it will capture yours too.

I absolutely loved this fabulous historical romance from Sabrina York.

This book had two very romantic stories. The main story follows Hamish and Elizabeth who fell in love with each other at first sight. They struggle in their relationship mostly from miscommunications on both of their parts. Elizabeth was determined though and relentlessly pursued her Highlander. As for the second story, while Elizabeth adores everything Scottish her sister Anne despises it with equal measure. She and Baron Bo

The four St. Clair sisters are looking for husbands, well, not all. Their new found cousin the Duke of Caithness, has set them up for the season, Anne, Elizabeth, Victoria, and Mary, what they go thru is short of amazing and who they pick. The characters are authentic, compassionate and loving. The descriptions are excellent and you feel like you are part of the story. The plot is full of intrigue, fun, and some confused Scots. 2.5. Two couples for the price of one, but it’s on the short side so both are left wanting. Actually all 4 sisters have romance, so it really should have focused on one couple and developed the storyline for that couple more.

Elizabeth and her 3 sisters are about to be turned out for the "season' in England, so they can find the "appropriate' husbands. The Duke of Hamish has been funding their season and, since he can't come because his wife is close to birth, he sends his two best friends, two Scottish men!!! Oh, the horror! Elizabeth is being hounded by a creepy 'lord' that she can't stand but, there's something about Hamish that draws her. I have not read the first three books in this series, but didn’t have much of a problem keeping up. It does mention the couples from the previous Untamed Highlanders books and Sabrina’s story from the Anthology “Say Yes to the Scot”. It was a pretty good story. This story is about 4 sisters who have lost their parents and finally having a season because their cousin The Duke of Caithness, that they didn’t know about before, is paying for everything. How much would you risk for the one you love? This is the question on the mind of Hamish. He wishes to marry Elizabeth, but he feels she needs to be with someone better than him. This made me love Hamish as all he wanted was to make her happy and secure. Elizabeth, on the other hand, has other ideas, she does not care whats best for her she wants her Scottish Highlander no matter what the consequences are. I loved this, it's everything I

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is my first book by Sabrina York but I will be going back to read the rest of the books in the series. This book does work well as a stand alone and it is delightful.

It honestly reminded of a Shakespearean comedy. There were issues to overcome but a lot of laughter and everyone gets married in the end. But there are kilts which makes everything better.

I really fell in love with this book. In terms of construction I really liked that It did not just focus on Hamish and Elizabeth but also Anna and Baron of Bower and even the rest of the St. Clair sisters. It worked out really well to have a single story line that co-mingled so many characters. It was full of laughter, love, scandal, evil smelly men and desire. Hamish quickly became one of my favourite people and the author made it seem like the reader was among friends. I do wish there was a bi ...more

I was pleasantly surprised with this read. It was engaging and emotional as I turned the pages. I laughed, I cried and wanted to go and smack a few of the characters to get them to go the way I thought they should.
This was almost 3 books in one. The way each character intertwined with the others made for a wonderful story line with no breaks. I really don't think this one could have been more than one as the characters were so close.
