So, will you marry me? Although not a particularly romantic proposal, Rebecca Gentry seriously considers accepting because it comes from Jake Tanner, the man who she's secretly loved for years. Rebecca has been alone for most of her life, but she's made a life she's content with. She has her own sewing business, a lovely apartment, and a few good friends. But it's her spec ...more

The second book in the Jamesville series, this is another sweet, "feel good" story that's miles away from the steamy hot erotic novels usually delivered by N.J. Walters.

Jake Tanner has a "business proposition" for his friend Rebecca Gentry: marriage. Jake's brother and sister-in-law have just died in a car accident, leaving their 4-year-old daughter Casey orphaned. Jake's been named Casey's legal guardian, but he would have taken her anyway because she's family. He needs help raising his niece a

"The Way Home" is book two in N.J.Walters 'Jamesville' series which is, so far, a sweeter and softer series that reads more like a darker, mid-heat Harlequin romance series than the normal erotica this author writes. Still, the stories are very well written and plotted.

Rebecca has been in love with Jake ever since he saved her from an attack when she was a teenager. Over the years, they have become very good friends, but he has never shown any inclination to deeper their relationship into someth

The second book in the Jamesville series by N.J. Walters.

A charming but emotional read.
It was a sweet little book. I loved Casey, she added an interesting element to the story and the developing romantic relationship. But all-in-all I kept comparing the book the the Virgin River Series and it came up lacking. Not because this wasn't a good book, but because Robin Carr's series is so dense, you have so many storylines going on and you really get a feel for the fictional town. This book is not written the same. But The main characters are cute together, and it is a sweet little roma ...more
Longer and far more interesting than 'Discovering Dani.' I recall these get better and better. Still low on steam but the story and characters hold you in this one. A classic love story.
This is second book of Jamesville series. I enjoyed it. Like previous book, it was easy and quick to read. The hero, Jake, had issue about trusting women. The heroine, Rebecca, was too good too be true persona, way too forgiving. Jake's niece, Casey, made interesting plot into this story.

Jake make marriage proposition to his 7 years friend, Rebecca, because he needs wife to help him take care of his orphaned niece. He brutally honest with Rebecca that he didn't plan to fall in love. Despite the

Quite blah for me. The issues both of them dealt with were real and true to life, I can't fault that at all, but there was nothing unique to it. Not a book to read if you want depth which is okay just not something I'm interested in anymore..

Very laidback story, not much to the characters. There is conflict, but not much of it.

Pretty standard fare romance. Predictable. Didn't want to hit the characters (much) but that's about all it had going for it. Not particularly good, not bad.

Another great read from Ms Walters. Although predictable, the book kept me interested and the h/h worked well together. I'm ready for the next Jamesville series book...
