A few years earlier Kaela nearly killed her fiance when she became a vampire. Now that she's got her self under control, she's hoping to get him back, only to find out she's too late. A mysterious job offer in the Colorado mountains seems to be the perfect getaway from the pain. Once she gets to Havenwood Falls, she finds things are not what they seem and she's not who she thought she was.

Right from the get go, Forget You Not sucked me in. Kaela's situation was quite a curious mystery. Who was

Great story. You get so wrapped up in the story and characters it feels like you know them.

This book is only 138 kindle pages long, but it feels like a much longer story.  The way in which the author is able to build the depth of a back story, and the complexity and layers of the characters (even ones only fleetingly present) in such a restricted number of words, never fails to impress me.

And the author doesn't just leave this as a set up for the wider series - oh no, here we have a fully fledged, intricate and tense plot line which roars into life from the very first chapter.

This was a nice enough read. Although being a novella it didn't have the page length to develop thoroughly. I would have loved a more in depth world building.
Lots of questions went unanswered and things unexplained but all in all it was a good read.
I would love more of Xander and Kaela, I feel like we've just skimmed the surface with those two.

This was such a cute novella. The only thing I wish I could change about it would be to make it a full length novel. I felt I was missing a few things or I picked a book up and started reading it in the middle.

However. I immediately fell in love with the characters and the town. I want more Havenwood Falls and I want it now!

Wow this really impressed! Very good writing and a storyline worth losing sleep over, just to see what happens next! I'm glad I tried out this new series, it will have a dedicated spot on my to-read list in future!

Can't Forget Those Eyes! . . .

Looking for a quick hot read about a woman trying to find herself while avoiding the thirst for blood, try this story. Another great installment in the Havenwood Falls series, this novella centers around a vampire named Kaela Peters. Kaela receives a job offer to manage an inn at a small town in the secluded mountains of Colorado. Upon arriving it becomes clear this town is not like any other place, and the feeling of familiarity grows with every step she takes. If

“Forget You Not” is the first book in the Havenwood Falls series. Each novella is written by a different author and features the story of a main character. Kaela was engaged to a man she loved until she woke a vampire and almost killed him. When another vampire found her she erased everyone’s memories and healed him.

Now that Kaela has her thirst under control she wants to reunite with her ex but when she sees him propose to her former best friend she knows all is lost. So, she accepts a job offe

Forget You Not was a great introduction to the Havenwood Falls Series. In this story, we are introduced to Kaela Peters who we come to find out is a vampire and almost fatally harmed her fiancé the night they were engaged (and the night she became aware of what she was). In order to protect him and her best friend, they were compelled to forget that Kaela existed. This crushes Kaela when she finds out that the two have sparked a relationship and are engaged. After this, Kaela needs some change. ...more

Amazing New Collection

I have been waiting weeks to start reading about Havenwood Falls and it was well worth the wait. This was the first one I read and the details she gives you in the story make you feel like you live in the town and you visit often.

The premise behind the book though is this woman who gets offered this job and goes to start a new life in a new place that she had never been too, or had she. You learn all about this woman and the people in her life and you begin to wonder what

I was introduced to the town of Havenwood Falls in the middle of the series, and I was really looking forward to going back to the beginning to get some background on this town with a predominantly supernatural population. This first story, Forget You Not, really sets the stage for the rest of the series and features vampires. The main character, Kaela is living outside of the town with no memory of her past in Havenwood Falls when she brutally attacks her fiance. To run from her past, she takes ...more

This novella by Kristie Cook was given to me as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Like all of her books I truly enjoyed reading this. It was well done with characters that were developed and captured my attention. I cared about Michaela and wanted things to work out for her and Alexander.

Unlike her other books, I wasn't left wanting more. Perhaps this is because the book was shorter so I didn't have enough time to become too invested in the characters. However, I have read other novella t

I think that the Havenwood Falls series has potential. I also think that, as the first book in the series, Forget You Not had a lot of work to do. There are so many layers of detail that the first book has to lay out for you and I feel like that is a lot to try and fit into a shorter book. I did enjoy the characters once I settled into the Havenwood world. The town itself seems to have the potential of being its own intriguing character. The main M & F that are involved in a love story defin ...more

Forget u not

Introduction to Havenwood Falls which is a series written by a collaboration of several authors.
Havenwood Falls is a secret town that doesn't show up on any maps or on GPS, and is a haven for all sorts of supernatural beings. Conversely for a town that likes to stay secret, it's main line of business is tourism.
I suppose this is just a way of getting new characters on the scene to carry on New storylines, otherwise it might start getting incestuous.
Forget You Not is vampire-themed
Forget You Not was a wonderful introduction to the world of Havenwood Falls. Being a person that just has to read series in order if at all possible, I really enjoyed getting the "first look" at the town along with Kaela as she takes on her dream job in the remote Colorado city.

But she soon discovers that the town really isn't all that new to her. As she rediscovers all memories, she has to face the fact that someone has been messing around with her life - and in a way that has some pretty bad c

~~I received this in exchange for my honest opinion~~

Why oh why aren't there more than 5 stars??!! When you first start this book you are immediately thrown in to a world of mystery. You kind of have a suspicion of what that mystery could be, but when you finally get there you learn there is so much more mystery with in the pages of this book! When I finished, I needed more. I needed to have more Kalea and Xan!

Vamps have always been my favorite supernatural species, not the Dracula kind (unless it's on Buffy the Vampire Slayer-- I really dig that show) I love that Kristie Cooke created vamps that basically have sub-species and I love that she wrote this town where there are a ton of supernaturals living right under the noses of humans. Michaela is a "take no crap" kind of girl and I love it. She's strong desire this "past" that she had and she handles this new world she was thrown into wonderfully. Sh ...more

Forget You Not

As part of Kristie Cooks Review Crew I was privileged to be able to read Forget You Not on pre-release. I promise no spoilers!

The first book in a collaborative series 'Forget You Not' takes true love, family rivalries, curses and elements of vampire lore as you thought you knew it and flips it upside down.

Kristie Cook is an amazing New Adult paranormal romance and contemporary fantasy author and this first novella in the Havenwood Falls series leaves you both satisfied in its rol

This is a great stand-alone book by Kristie Cook. I have read everything she has written and this novella is a great addition to her other series/characters.
This story is about Kaela Peters and her return to Havenwood Falls. Kaela is a newly turned Vampire, living in Atlanta, and bartending tables to survive. She accepts a job at Havenwood Falls Inn and makes the move to Colorado and soon discovers the supernatural things happening in Havenwood Falls. Once she arrives, her memories come flooding

Normally I have a hard time with novellas because there's not enough time to develop the romance between the two main characters. This novel succeeds where others have failed with some crafty maneuvering about 75% of the way through. The mystery is also a late twist in the novella, bringing the book to a satisfying conclusion. This book could have been a full length novel, and I would have enjoyed the mystery being fleshed out more. But still, I was pleasantly surprised by the pacing, plot and c ...more

Oh man if the others in the series are as great as Forget You Not, I have a new favorite series. Kaela is a vampire who takes a job in Havenwood Falls as the new night manager for the local hotel. Little does she know there is more to the town and her then meets the eye. There is plenty of supernatural excitement and suspense throughout. Since this is part of a novella that features other authors so sadly her story will not be concluded for some time. I will be keeping up with this series for su ...more

I want to live in Havenwood Falls. The mystery surrounding the town, the people, and the many legends is intriguing.
Right off the bat Kaela Peters is welcomed with open arms by her employer. Everything feels familiar to her, but she has never been to Havenwood Falls. Or has she? Soon Kaela learns the truth.
Kristie Cook starts off the Havenwood Falls series with a bang. If I didn't have to sleep, eat or other responsibilities, I would have read Forget You Not in one sitting. I'm looking forward

Forget You Not

Never in a million years will I ever ever forget --- forget you not· Christie Cook is an amazing author and writer she takes you places that only in your dreams can you imagine. She is without a doubt one of the most amazing writers I have ever had the pleasure to get to know and love. Every book she writes has a piece of her heart and soul woven into each and every character she creates she does with love sweat and tears. This story is amazing, A must Read!! Well done Lady I ador

This is a great opening to the Havenwood Falls a small town full of mystery. You are pulled into Kaela's confusion as she arrives at Havenwood Falls and starts to unravel the truth.

This is a face pace book, full of emotions and has a great plot. I love the clever twist and turns

The only downside is I felt if it could have done with being a longer book because the ending felt rushed that said it is still a great read and a great opener to the series, I look forward to reading more.

This isn't my first read by this author so I kinda had a level I expected from her. Hot dang if she lived up to every bit of it. This story grabs your attention from the start with the girls and watch as Kae Kae finds out there is a need for a fresh start. From there we have more suspense and action from the start to the finish. I want more of these two! The different twist and unexpected zingers throughout the story keep you stuck like glue. This story rocked and I am so glad to explore more of ...more
