Rate this book
Kirby Kirkpatrick grew up a Mary Kay Kid. From the time he was three-years-old his mother was a top Consultant, Director and National Sales Director with the company. In Growing Up Pink, Kirby pays homage to the company's 50th anniversary by exploring 50 lessons he has learned from a lifetime associated with Mary Kay Cosmetics. His writing is brief, engaging, informative, and often humorous. The content provides many life lessons on working with people, running a business, or being in a relationship. Those already familiar with Mary Kay will enjoy the lessons presented and share in many familiar stories. However, this book is a valuable tool for entrepreneurs, leaders, and anyone who relies on interpersonal relationships for success.

As a 20 year Mary Kay Consultant, I could relate to the stories in this book more than someone with no experience with our company. But Kirby Kirkpatrick turns these stories into leadership lessons anyone can learn from. I liked the chapter style which made it easy to pick up the book and read a little in small pockets of time. This a great little leadership book.
