Severed Minds is the continuing saga of Marcus and Lucy. It's a paranormal romance roller coaster ride that pulls so many emotions from the reader. It's a deeply layered world of witches, demons, angels, souls collectors and scrapers. There's suspense and deceptions, secrets and curses. We get plenty of answers that we have been waiting for, but now have new questions! This is an entertaining read that explores the complicated relationship between Marcus and Lucy. It is a flawed relationship, but full of love and passion. They have a life full of turmoil, yet they are meant to be. Now we are finding out more about who they really are. One surprise after another.

I loved how despite the non-stop action and danger, Marcus and Lucy found time to be together. Their love against all odds is what makes the books work for me. Kelly Carrero has developed fantastically complicated characters with these two and the surrounding cast. The end of the book reveals a major new development that I look forward to following up with during the next book. I can only wonder what comes next.

Lucy's purpose

Lucy, Marcus and their friends are on the run trying to find the truth. Lucy must find her guardians and remember her purpose. I like the mystery and the development of the story. Finding her true self and her purpose is pretty cool. I get irritated at Lucy at times because she argues with Marcus quite a bit and she has a lot of insecurities. Even so I am enjoying her growth and relationship with Marcus and the others.

There is nothing more to add to Zoe/Lulu's relationship with Marcus, especially after the revelation and what happened in this book. They completed each other. I'm anxious to find out what will happen to them in the final book and if they will have a happy ending.

Another character that deserves attention is Abby. I liked her, and if it's not too late, I'm hoping to read more about Abby and Marcus's relationship. They seem very closed, and I hope she does not harbour feeling towards Marcus. Hoping she's his guardian demon and not one that will bring them down😂.

This series, so far, has taken me on quite a ride - and I'm loving every moment of this journey. Hopefully this journey doesn't end soon. I'm looking forward to the end book - I cannot wait to see Marcus and Lucy's next part of their journey. Eagerly awaiting the continuation of their story!

Just like the previous books in the series, once I started reading it, I could not stop at all. I just wanted more and more and more - I need their next book so bad!

And you find that some of them that you really like die. And some that you don't know too well live. So now I am caught up again in this series and now I really have to wait impatiently for the next book to be written finished and released.

It was ok. There seemed to be more detail by detail, moment by moment of every thought or thing they did. Way to much detail of nonsense that was exhausting. I love the story line but it dragged out more than was necessary. Maybe because Kelly wanted to drag this into another book? There were a couple action parts that were really good but other than that a lot of meaningless words to fill up a book. I'm hoping book 4 will be outstanding and the last. I lost the vibe I had with Lucy & Marcus. Made me sad but, I love Abby! She needs her own book series. Still not sure about Justin but I like him and hoping he'll continue to fight for them and be good. I really wanted to give this a 4-star rating but 3 stars was even pushing it.

Wow can't believe what all is happening. so much going on. Loved the whole hellhounds marked part it was different. Hated some of what we learned at the rescue. I liked her. Happy she Is dead! Loved this read.
