What would you endure for love?

I was nothing.
He was both madness and paradise.

I was lost.
He was salvation and damnation.

I was innocent.
He was sadistic and twisted.

I was an obsession.

Now I am his.

Reader Advisory 18+

Not for the faint of heart.

This is a disturbing love story that has nothing to do with romance.

descriptionTo be honest I am not a huge fan of this cover. It's a bit on the cheesy side. That said the composition is excellent. It makes great use of graphics. It's a fairly good representation of the story, and I have certainly seen worse.description

descriptionWhere do I start? I think I mentioned this in my last review that I don't believe that this author can write a book I don't completely love. I didn't realize when I started this one that Mason was the son of Julian from Mercy, Bound, Released.I may have let out a very
Oh, oh...giddy me

So, I've already read Mercy, Bound, Release by Natalie Bennett

And that was some nasty fucked up dark shit! Lol

But I loved it!

So, hopes are pretty high for this book
*fingers crossed*

And well, holy effin bananas in a twist...

Bah, I totally made this crap

I'm amazed by this author's dark twisted side and she's consistent in delivering the total impact.

This is actually a continuation, or better yet a spin-off of the Mercy, Bound, Release trilogy, where it ends, now we me

I am honestly not sure how to feel about what I read. I can rate this book on so many levels, and my opinions about this “romance” between Katie, a strange introverted girl and Mason, the enigmatic stranger that seems to know everything about her, are all over the board.

Disturbing originality? That’s a 5 star. I can say without a doubt that I haven’t come across something like this before. It was wrong on so many levels but managed to pique my interest and leave me perversely curious f
Sissy's Romance Book Review
'Love Obscene' by Natalie Bennett is the First Book in the "Obscene Duet". This book does end in a cliffhanger that opens us for the next installment.
This is my first book by Ms. Bennett so it was a unexpected surprise to see how Dark this Romance could go. There can be some triggers for those who have dealt with dark issues in their lives. In addition this does have some hot love scene.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and its one that you can't put down for sure.

This is not something I would normally read, I was scared shitless starting this book, but i needed to get out of my comfort zone and try something new!

“You need to embrace your dark side.”

Fuck, I'm so lost for words! It is by far the most dark and terrifying book I have ever read, and yet I could not make myself stop, which makes me question my own sanity A little bit!

It was so hard to predict what the next move was, which made it a little more scary for m

I was curious by the cover when I first saw it. After reading Love Obscene it all makes sense.

This is a fabulous read. It's dark and so wrong and yep I still loved it. The dark side of me inhaled this from start to finish in one sitting. I couldn't put it down.

Mason is so sadistic and I loved him. I could see that Katie was starting to open up a little to who she really is.. only a glimpse so I really hope in book two she gets darker.

What a cliffhanger. Thankfully we don't have to wait too lo
Must read

Natalie Bennett is a new to me author and now I'm highly obsessed with and her dark evil mind. If you like dark romance and have a twisted mind like I do, than this book is for you

Between The Sheets

So for those of y’all who have read Depravity first like me will know Katie and Mason. For those of you who haven’t let me tell you, they were interesting characters in that book.

I didn’t know they had their own book and I wanted them to. Well lucky me to find out they did. You wouldn’t tell by reading the blurb it says nothing of their names. But when you get to through the first chapter, bam, it clicks. I got so excited I did a silent squee. So anyways, l
I ain't gonna lie, I only picked this book up for the beautiful cover.. I have a thing for skulls... I didn't know what I was getting into... But what in the bloody hell did I just read?! This book was complete darkness (and let me tell you, I love some darkness) but what I don't like, is to be confused.. I flew through this book, because I had to know if what I was thinking were true or not (still not sure) There was so many frickin' secrets left unanswered! I'm so confused by ending (What The ...more

My gosh this book is f*up. Fair warning if you don't like or can't tolerate dark stories then this isn't for you. I was completely captivated from the beginning. OMG! My head is spinning. I'll read dark stories once in awhile and I am glad I got the opportunity to read to Love Obscene. This is the first book I have read by Natalie and I can't wait to see what happens next. Plus the cover is HOT! Thank you Quirky Blind Date with a Book for this opportunity.

I don't know what to rate this book, but I think Katie is a hero. I didn't see that ending coming.

Holy Crap that was one crazy ride! To say I am totally disturbed by this story is an understatement. The fact that I completely and utterly loved it, does that make me weird? God I hope so because this book is part one in a duet by Natalie Bennett and I was completely caught by this story. I mean hook, line and sinker. I devoured it in a matter of hours, once I had started I could not top, the story is just that gripping.

We follow Katie, tormented by her mother, never left her small town, home s

This book was given in exchange for a voluntary honest review.

Have you ever found an author that speaks to the darkest, most twisted part of your heart? Natalie Bennett is that author for me. When I see a new book coming I immediately grab it. This one was no different.

The characters are perfectly flawed and twisted together that it works. Katie is the kind of girl that makes you question what actually goes in the minds of other women. Mason is a cunning devil in disguise. I think I love him.

Love Obscene is the first book in the Obscene Duet by author Natalie Bennett. This is the first book that I have read from the author and I will definitely check out more of her work! The story line is unique and gripping and the characters are complex.

When I began reading, I felt as though the story took a hold of me and I became its willing prisoner. I am not sure what, if anything, could persuaded me to p

You know how there are some things in life that disgust you so much that you want to shower yourself repeatedly to scrub it all away. Well that's how I felt after reading this book. I want to erase the scourge of humanity that is Mason from my mind. It's a very dark, violent and confusing read. It's a horrifying thought that there are unfortunately people out there that do prey on those weaker than them. To give the author credit it was well written and the story flowed which was probably a good ...more

I read the previous books in this series and they were ok. Just a word of caution that these books have detailed descriptions of people being tortured, mutilated, and killed. I'm not sure how I feel about the h, she accepted things too quickly. For example, the abuse the H does to her, the violent sexual interactions, and the killings. The H is possessive of the h but there is no jealousy. This book ended in a cliffhanger so I will read the next one. I hope the characters become more likable.

I love this book! This was a very dark story, but has so much intimacy between the character's that was more than just physical. It’s twisted and carnal, loving and sweet, it’s so wrong, but I found myself cheering for these two.

Katie has lived an isolated life with her mother. She is shy, sweet and so lonely. Wishing for happiness. She finds her happiness may not be as it should be. Her journey to finding herself, and living with what she finds

I'm not even sure where to start, but I do know this, I'm not saying crap about the description. For one, I'm still trying to make sense out of it, and two, there's no way to describe it, as my mind is blown. So everyone who reads this review is stuck with my emotional ramblings. Natalie Bennett's diabolically brilliant writing style is one of my newer addictions, as she feeds my secret dark and twisty self very well. Unfortunately for me, I'm also left with a serious craving for more. I'm very ...more

The cover art is a phenomenal match for what unfolds in between them !

The prologue had my head spinning and my stomach in a massive knot !

Katie quite literally went from the pit to the frying pan ! 😨😱 She traded 1 prison for another the only real difference is her keeper .

Katie didn't have the best childhood
She was home schooled and her mother hid her from the world. However her sister was treated differently which left me wondering why ? Both Her father and sister left home , left Her by hers

I always love books that make me question what the heck did I just read? I'm still recently new to Natalie Bennett and so far she excels at it.

The books are dark with heavy dosages of violence and twisted beyond belief. These are not for the faint of heart. Yet I fall in love with each one.

How can you not fall in love with a book that has this quote: "He was my guardian angel sent straight from Hell."

I see her main characters talk about love and obsession. I think she does an excellent job at sh

This is not the first book I have read, by the author, focused on the powerful and sadistic men of the Andreous family; Mason’s and Katie’s story is every bit as dark, twisted and shocking as the ones that have come before.... Katie is an oddball a solitary misfit in a small town...when she narrates her side of the story it is filled with carefully observed detail of the world from her perspective and the people she encounters within it...

The main characters are completely dysf

Why? Because I liked this book. Am I that twisted that some of the parts turned me on? Some of it was intriguing. It pulled me in to what it must feel like to be Dexter's lover.

This Dexter....

just so were clear. And it has to be that Dexter found someone like himself to love because for those Dexter fans - we know he couldn't quite do the love thing.

Anyway, I got off topic. So imagine falling in love with a psychopath serial killer because I'm pretty sure that is what we can effectively call M

Oh WOW! The author sends us on a wild, twisted journey as it weaves a web of murder, suspense and a horrifying dark side into Mason's world. I fell in love with his character!
Katie had led a sheltered life until Mason stepped into her secluded world and brought her into his evil and twisted world. Will she try to escape or will submit to the blood and gore of his world?
Love Obscene grabbed me from the prologue and before I knew it, I was at the end of the book! It does end in a cliffhanger! Th

This is one of those books that I would jump head first because of the cover. It gives off that dark feel, that along with the vague description made me super excited to dive in. The characters (Katie & Mason) were better then I could have ever hoped for. Right from the prologue I know I was going to love this story. The inner dialogue of Katie was addictive. I couldn’t stop even if I wanted to. I highlighted so much of this book. Great one liners and quotes that make me feel, this story was ...more

I read dark books. I happen to love dark books. This book is sick and dark and I'm not sure how exactly I really feel about it. It reads fast once you get past the first few chapters. The rest of the book is bizarre, sick and twisted but I actually well written.

This book is NOT for everyone. There's going to be a lot of people who think this book is horrible but I've actually read books equally if not worse than this and I survived. It's just fiction not an instruction manual for serial killers

There are so many thoughts going through my head right now, not one of them pleasant. This book is so many things. The main one being disturbing. There was absolutely nothing even remotely romantic about this book. This was not a dark love story. There are so many more things that I want to say, but I don't know how to without spoilers. There were a lot of unanswered questions for me with this book, things that it seemed that the author expected the reader to know or figure out. I though

Okay so I actually have no clue how many stars to give this book. I mean from. The characters I was absolutely detached, not an single molecul in my body understood any of their feelings or thoughts or their life. None- njet-nunada. So but the story and everything in it was so ridiculous it was brilliant. You know something absolutely what the fuck is this shit can be brilliant. Just very few can step out of their body and view it as a third person. So that was like hundred stars. I cringed, a l ...more

Shameless author of twisted unconventional love stories.

Natalie has a penchant for (writing) villainous immoral men, and tends to deviate away from traditional happily ever afters.

When she isn't slaying words on multiple projects, she's hanging out in the sunshine state with her husband, their three boys, and her pit-bull named Lulu.
