Following the hint given by Persephone, the crew arrives at planet Y-114-a. What they find throws them into an impossible struggle against an army of deadly robots, a corrupt corporation wishing to enslave the planet, and an evil that is more ancient than the galaxy.
And this time, they might not all make it out alive.
With their new two crew members, they went to a new planet, told to them by their spaceship.
Founding the planet deserted from the terror of the drones, designed to help them but turned against them by the opposing army, find a way to turn those drones back to their original state, end up awakening the most powerful enemy.
They manage to protect the local people and kill one of the enemy kind but weren't able to stop the beacon awakening others in time.
We now find Adam with another two crew members, Paula and Casta. This guy is certainly racking up a decent harem. But of course, he hasn't actually made a decision where Eve and Sea are concerned yet so I don't know how he'll manage the twins as well! In this book they find themselves on a planet where the population has confined itself to underground bunkers for approximately the last 500 years. There's a lot wrong with the story because logic has flown out the window. As usual its a fast paced, action packed space opera. But, here we are on a planet which has a swarm of killer robots attacking any warm blooded creature in sight as soon as night falls. When our intrepid team finds out about these robots it is, of course, just on nightfall and they need to get back to Persephone as the robots are also drawn to starships! There are two other problems that the population has: one is an alien race that wishes to enslave them and secondly, there is a really badass alien just waiting to wake up and enslave all of them plus the rest of the galaxy. My biggest gripe is that all the computer hacking and opening of the bunkers could have been done during daylight hours! Of course that would have been too easy. Same with the temple. Still, if you're willing to overlook this type of fault then I'm sure that you'll enjoy this immensely.
An fairly interesting story, which was fairly action packed. However, there are a few annoyances. Having filled Persephone with beautiful women, I suspect the author thought it was amusing to make Adam so indecisive, guilt ridden and stupid with relationships. Unfortunately, it just drags on and on, becoming more and more tedious.
The mystery behind Persephone is also beginning to get a bit annoying. There are strange encounters on the ship that don’t get explained, but just keep happening.
The actual mission was full of action, but it did become just one incident after another and after a while it was a bit repetitive. At the end of the book the whole story is suddenly expanded into a bit of an epic. It should be interesting to see how this develops; I just hope the author sorts out Adam’s relationships with the rest of the crew.
was a little disappointed until the end, then I was a lot disappointed
Star Justice has been a consistent 4 star series for me. Wile all the moving parts were silly (over the top violence, bouncing boobs, convenient escapes, and the main character turns into a tiger man for christ sakes ) there was a solid basic premise of freedom fighters out in the universe doing right by the powerless and facing down overwhelming odds and institutional corruption. I frigging' loved it! This was pure escapist comic book with kung-fu physics and soft core T & A. Binary Pair (book 4) bobbled the ball and almost dropped it. The convenient coincidences were just too convenient and Adam and company made too many brainless choices that just happen to further the plot. That's all pretty forgivable, and MSE can write hokey action adventure so well that I usually cheer for his book where I would groan at another. Except this one just didn't feel as fun. Could be the in fighting among the crew, or that the sexual tension went form titillating to uncomfortable. All's well that ends well. but the reverse is true as well. Whether you think this ending is great or crap is a matter of personal taste. That this ending changes and undermines that basic premise of resistance against giant evil corporations seems all but certain. That's a real shame because I loved that premise and I didn't think it needed any fixing. Are all my fears over blown? Will we still see the fight against injustice continue undaunted? only book 5 will tell. But after this shaking of confidence it will be just that much harder to suspend disbelief.
(Addendum) I have to admit that it is possible I was negatively biased by the bizarre performance art Narration by Christopher Boucher and Jessica Threet. These two usually do so well, and I've enjoyed them in the past but... shesh! Christopher Boucher went WAY over the top. Nicholas Cage levels of over the top. His Tiger growl sounds more like and oinking pig. The voice acting crossed over into parody more than once with Christopher and Jessica bellowing the dialog and making their own sound effects. Jessica Threet has a tendency to inject an edge of bitchiness to dialog that I don't think the character or the text can justify, and these jarring performance choices continually broke me out of the flow wondering what the hell there were doing.
I have really enjoyed these Star Justice books. This is disconnect your brain and enjoy the story space opera. The action is good and well written without bogging down in minutia. I look forward to more of this series. I have to admit that there have been a few surprises in the story that I was not expecting.
I like that Adam is considerate of the women, despite the fact that he could have all four in his bed. Not many men would be able to resist four beautiful women throwing themselves at him because he is concerned with hurting their feelings. Adam with his harem could be the basis of many male fantasies, and I am surprised that the author, who writes other very explicit fiction, did not go there.
One of the things I don't like though is we are four books in and Adam still has not been laid once. I do not think this is really feasible, even with as good a guy as Adam is. With four beautiful women, a couple who like to tease him, and especially Zea who was all over him in the last book, I would expect Adam to have a very short fuse.
I've been on deployment where soldiers had to go anywhere from 13 - 15 months without any relief other than masturbation. We abstained not necessarily entirely by choice but because we were stuck out in the desert with no available women.
By the actions of my fellow soldiers without any physical love for that long, I think Adam would be in much worse shape. Adam sounds like he has not had sex in years, and I think he should be ripping shelves off the wall, and snapping at everyone. In some ways it is true that love tames the beast.

Omg So hopefully you’ve read the books in order by now.. otherwise SPOILER ALERT!
Just when I think that this is going to be a space opera...the author threw a huge supernatural mythical god like whammy into the plot. I mean from the witch..I kinda figured with her telepathy and stuff I figured some Magic was coming but..a temple with Parasitic God beings that eat people and recharge off their fear..wow. Not sure how they will pull this off with what 5 crew members? I really think we need more men on the Persephone or..well it’s gonna be a love octangle going on..I’m still impressed by kitty man’s sense of honor. What the heck did this E blah Nola Corp put in Adam? Now that we know what they did to Eve. Plus they have so many enemies now and only in 4th book.. The weird Lim Navy they just battled will be back too.. I have so many questions and can’t wait to find out more yay! Onto Book 5!
Four Genius, Polymath Women, Persephone and a Tiger
Even better than the previous novels, Earle has started to tie his plotlines together, and the action does not stop for this entire book! I stayed up for hours reading it, and could not put it down.
Our protagonists, who now include Eve (the vampire), Adam (the WereTiger marine), Z (the hacker), and the genius twin sisters (one a nymphomaniac android) follow the directions of Persephone (the starship) to a remote star system. The ship wants to make the trip, and seems to indicate some danger. Of course, nothing is as easy as warning of danger, and another evil corporation tries to kill the crew and steal Persephone.
However, even more dangerous foes may be coming to claim and eliminate all life in the galaxy...and they are very powerful!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS BOTH AN INDIVIDUAL BOOK AND AS A SERIES!!
Every guy dreams of having four beautiful girls but dreaming and having are two different things. This weretiger is a military experiment that is not too comfortable yet with his powers. Eve is a vampire, Zea is the consummate hacker, and then there are the twins one twin dies when they are children and the genius remaining twin constructors an android twin to take her sister's place. Persephone is the ship that takes them to save civilization at planets. Well written tongue in cheek novel with well-developed characterization. Adult readers due to violence against those attacking them. Very campy would make a great series of action movies.
With the addition of 2 new crewmembers to Persephone (who also happen to be female), Adam decides to follow Persephone's lead. The planet, however, is being guarded by a group of ships and the people on the planet? Well, it looks empty, until the gang takes a closer look. This book also introduces the super Vampires and they are very dangerous! Life is becoming very difficult for our heroes. They just want to help people, but someone is always making things difficult for them! I really have been enjoying this series and I'm lucky enough to be one of the beta-editors for Michael-Scott Earle!
Poor Adam, such a quandary. Now he has 4 beautiful women to help fly Persephone. I love that he's mostly confused about personal stuff, but not about helping others. He's still a kick butt military man and tiger. I was wondering when the cat would come out! I can't wait until the next book comes out. Michael-Scott is such a wonderful writer, and been a fav of mine for quite some time. This series is sooo goood. Keeps us on the edge with so many questions: Who is Persephone? Will the tiger take over? When will the next book come out? LOL This series is good for all ages above 16. Well done!!
Yet again the mystery deepens as the team explore the hints given by Persephone. In this book its not long before our team are in the thick of it and find themselves responsible to save an entire planet of people. As each book progresses we find yet more responsibility thrust upon them and links to the past begin to reveal themselves. Overall each book goes from strength to strength.
Scratches chin....I liked the story. I liked the characters...this book focused on the sci-fi A-team aspect of the series which funnily enough was one of my least favorite parts of the series at times...still this was a good read...solid and satisfying like dinner at your mom's.
This was the best story yet of this series! The action was non-stop and it was very interesting to see the cast of characters grow and evolve. Do I want more?? OF COURSE!!
The fourth Star Justice book is incredibly good, it as everything needed to have a success, great characters, good plot, enemies you want to see dead, kickass action!
They're good, quick reads. Not too deep and very formulaic. The only unknown is when they'll all sleep together. Could have done a lot more with the worlds, artifacts, ancient civilizations and the like.
Wonderful story great characters can't wait for the next story. Now about the next story when might it come out? Please if you have read the other stories you will love this one also. So ENJOY
All I have to say is Location 3892 made me laugh so hard. Adam is such an unpredictable and hilarious character. This is one of the best books yet and in glad to see more development with the characters. 5 out of 5 would read again.
This latest book in the series ups the stakes on what the crew faces, while providing a great story. Relationships grow [agonizingly] slowly, but they do grow. It's a fun fast read, without any clues on what happens next. Recommended.
Awesome addition to the Star Justice series. Just enough growls, girls and explosions to keep you interested as well as the mystery that surrounds the planet. I like the setup the end gives.
I really enjoyed this story. It was a rather suspense and action-packed filled story. This new threat seems to be a whole new headache for the crew. The new book should be rather interesting.
These books are addictive I have not been able to stop reading for several days. They start fast and don’t stop. They are well-crafted so that each book has closure unlike many of the other series I have read.
I wanted to like this series. It started really well but now is has generated into high school relationships and stupid action scenes. I find myself repeatedly asking how did Adam survive as a prisoner when he makes so many mistakes?
Yes this is truly a paranormal story and series plenty Action and sorry sex dialog, yet this story and series flows into good Reading it's worth your time don't know how many books this author will write but he keeps exciting 👌
Four down, and I think six more to go. This was an awesome book. The beginning felt like a horror novel and the action was great. Hope they can escape from the corp in the next book.
Star Justice is my favorite series and MSE has delivered another great volume. I am looking forward to learning more about the new foes he has revealed.
Oh, now the harem has 4 women (5 if you count the ship), but wait, there isn't any romance happening here, so a love story that everyone is celibate. Next story just leave all thoughts of romance out of the book, it might actually be good.
