As Long As You Love Me

One brief encounter. One moment in time that changed their lives forever. Jensen Causer is a single father of twin teenagers. He has sworn off relationships after the damage his ex-wife caused him and their kids. Can Jensen put his heart back together but help his children heal too? It has always been the three of them, Sarah, Max, and Abby; but everything has changed since their big move to a new city. Sarah Edwards feels like an outsider in her own life. When a clumsy tumble down the steps changes Sarah's friendships and life forever. While Sarah is faced with the biggest choice of her life and filled with fear of a future she can't control, she finds refuge in a friendship she didn't expect. Can Sarah let down her walls? Can Jensen and Sarah find happiness in the paths they chose? Does opening yourself up and relying on someone else make you stronger and whole or does it shatter yourself?

Sarah is pregnant. The father is the no-name doctor who took her virginity when they did a quickie (completely consensual ) in a closet at the hospital. He had an emergency, and had to leave before they shared any information. With nothing to go on, she has no idea who he is or how to contact him. But she makes a daddy box throughout the pregnancy, saving little bits of information, sonogram pictures, and letters that she writes to him almost daily. There are some problems early in the pregnancy, and she's on bed rest most of the time. She works with Max, and is helping to re-design Jensen's home. Jensen is in their circle of friends, but she's not ever met him in person. His kids have been around, though, and they love her. She and Jensen talk on the phone and text fairly frequently, neither having any idea who the other is. Until her water breaks and they're stuck in an elevator with the baby coming. Now.

This is Sarah's story, and I'm glad to see her find her love. She's been feeling left out because Abby met Cash, and Max and Reagan are together. When she goes on bed rest, Max insists that Sarah stay with his family (Reagan and her nephew), and she becomes close to Reagan. Jensen is a terrific father to his twins, and has raised them almost single-handedly since their mother walked out when they were 2. While I like him, sometimes he needs a swift kick in the rear - he's just a bit too alpha at times, not willing to compromise, and tries to take over with Sarah and the baby, after she dealt with her pregnancy alone. There's a lot of drama when you get so many personalities together, and this book is no exception. Sarah's parents don't approve of much, and are a little too bossy, and not willing to play nice with Jensen's parents. When Jensen's ex-wife shows up looking for the kids, they try to figure out how to work it out, except for her buttinsky cousin Robin, who threatens to take the children away. Jensen's parents and his GramGram are wonderful people, so accepting of whatever life throws at them, working as a team to make things work for Jensen and his kids OMG those twins - smart, loving, caring, and they fall in love with Sarah and the baby before they know about their relationship to her. Just like the other books, the bigger circle of friends is what makes this little part of the world go round. Some of them are related, either by blood or marriage, some of them have know each other for years, some are new to the group, but they all care so much for each other.

You could probably read this book without having read the first three book. I believe that having read the others first will give a better understanding of the characters and their relationships. One more book in this series...

This story captured my heart and filled me with hope. The characters were well developed and the story line has a nice flow to it.

Strangers with an instant connection leads to a one time thing in the on call room.

Now Sarah finds herself pregnant and even though she knows the father is the doctor she had a hot session with, she doesn't know his name. Not only has she fold herself pregnant but after a fall she has broken her leg and is now living with her best friend/business partner Max and his partner. Making the best out of a bad situation, she makes a box of memories every day throughout her pregnancy to show the father if they ever reconnect and she also throws herself into her work. Her client at the moment if Max's friend Jensen who is trying to improve his home for his children starting off with their rooms.

Jensen is a single father to twin teenagers, life hasn't always been easy since his ex wife upped and left them when the children were 2, trying to juggle his work as a doctor, bringing up his kids and trying to have a life of his own but he has a strong network of people around him who help ease the load. Looking at making some home improvements he asks his friend Max for help. One afternoon in the on-call room with a hot blonde changes things for him, being paged and having to run off quick, he doesn't get her name but he continues to search for her at every turn.

Jensen and Sarah are yet to meet face to face but over the space of time that she is designing the renovations and after his children spend time with her, they form a bond. What starts as friendship slowly leads to real feelings. Looking forward to speaking on the phone and receiving texts proves that this couple need to meet face to face and soon.

Sarah hasn't had the easiest pregnancy and has found herself on bed rest for most of it. Whilst at the hospital for a check up, Sarah goes into labor. Struggling to get through he pain and left alone in the hallway she reaches out to Jensen for help and support.

When Jensen arrives to help they are both shocked to see one another and realist that they have met before....She is the blonde and he is the sexy doctor from the on-call room!

It doesnt take a rocket scientist to work out dates and who the father is and Jensen isnt best pleased....

Can these two get a HEA???

My friends are back! I love catching up with this group, I wish they were real and I was one of them! When a tryst in the oncall room results in Sarah losing her virginity to a man she didn't even know and then finding out she was carrying his child she can't even contact him because they never exchanged names. Lucky for her she has a great group of friends that are there every step of the way. As she finds herself becoming connected to Jonathan and his twin friends. This helps her get some feel for parenting although she still worries she won't make a good mom as she didn't have the best example growing up and having to do it alone makes her worry. The one job she works on while on bed rest is for the twins and talking to their father becomes her port in the storm as they become close but never meet face to face. Jensen is a single father to teenage twins. Their mother left them when they were two. They love their dad but crave a female touch. They become close to Sarah as they spend time with Jonathan often since dad is a busy doctor. Jensen doesn't do relationships after the way things ended with his ex. Between work and the twins he doesn't have time anyway. He does hook up from time to time but can't get one girl out of his mind. As fate would have it he will meet her again one day but oh what a surprise he has in store. Meeting his family, his gram gram is a hoot. I love the way she meets people "I look like a $5000 hooker but feel like a $2.00 whore" I love her! Jensen is alpha, a great guy with a stubborn ass side but can be sweet and then demanding. He's so frustrating, Sarah is a pushover but gets much stronger when she becomes a mother.

First of all, I loved this book, but if you haven’t read the first two books in this series, I suggest you go back and read them. I started this book first and I was a bit lost because it contained a lot of characters that were obviously connected to each other, so I stopped reading As Long As You Love Me and downloaded the earlier books in the Love Me Series.
So where do I start? I loved the characters; they were real people with real problems. Some I could identify with and some I couldn’t. But I think I appreciated most about the characters were how they related to each other. They may not all have been family in the traditional sense, but they were family because of the way they related to each other. I wished I had friends like that when I was growing up.
As Long As You Love Me is Jensen and Sarah’s story and a beautiful story it was, even though there were plenty of hurdles for them to jump before they reached the finish line. Those hurdles certainly caused a few stumbles for both of them, but they didn’t stop me cheering them both on to reach their HEA.
I love it when I finish reading a book hoping that the author will write another book in the series and that’s how I finished As Long As You Love Me. By the way, I also had a smile on my face.

A brilliantly, well done romance with complex characters, a tender storyline and an appealing plot that just spoke to me. The romance is sweet, sexy, compassionate and wonderfully thorough. As Long As You Love Me was a wonderful read. I was instantly attracted to it and found myself just drawn to the story from the beginning. I really...REALLY liked it!

I am plan on keeping a look out for more books by Jaime Russell after reading this book. I liked everything about it and really thought it was splendidly written. It speaks to the heart and had me sighing, happy, sad...pretty much every emotion you could think of came to the surface with this story.

As Long As You Love Me gets a FABULOUSLY WRITTEN FIVE SHOOTING STARS!

This book was sweet, maybe a little too sweet, to be honest. It seemed like there was a bunch of "fluff" in it, maybe to get the page count up. A lot of useless stuff.

Also, I think maybe the copy we got was before the editor. So I found a lot of mistakes. Maybe that is why I struggled with this book.

Jensen is a single dad to twins, Sara is an only child with severe parents. A one night stand without an exchange of names.....here comes baby. They both dreamed of each other, but couldn't find each other.

He delivered Ella, that is how they reconnected. But, can they find a way to co-parent with each other for their new daughter?

I like both Sarah and Jensen. That being said, they , especially Jensen, frustrated me no end. The premise of this story is unique and interesting. The overlapping and underlying stories and their individual pasts give the story life. Revisiting Max, Jonathan, Reagan, Abby and the gang is fun. There is a lot going on in the book. The relationship build up is slow and definitely interesting to say the least. I like Jana and Bennet and their grandparents. I do not like Sarah's mom.

Half a dozen typos in the first two pages. Switching between past and present tense. This author needs to go back to school and learn basic grammar.

Intriguing

What I liked...

Jensen and Sarah's story was an interesting one. I love how it was presented as 2 seperate lives, with them both leaning on the same core friends.

This reunion romance, I guess you would call it, was an amazing ride. I haven't read a story presented this way before, and I definitely wasn't disappointed.

What I didn't like...

There wasn't anything I didn't like with the story or the character development.

This is my first time reading Jaime Russell. And even though this is a series, I was able to follow along..some what. At times, I did get confused who was who but I concentrated on Jensen and Sarah and their story.

What happens when you spend time in an on-call room with a hot doctor, you get a baby in the oven. And the man is a mystery because they never exchanged names. Sarah who is accident prone finds herself pregnant with his child. It's a small world, she became friends with her clients children. Being on bed rest, she is able to get her designs complete. She has daily interaction via text and calls to her client, Jensen. They become friends over the phone. And even though they never seen each other, they both look forward to speaking to one another and love forms. But when her water breaks, she calls her friend/client who happens to be a doctor. Jensen comes to Sarah's aid. But when they finally see each other the first time, the one night stand turns out to be the client.

Jensen's life revolves around his two kids. With the twins mother walking out when they were just babies, he is very selective who they are around. With a close bond, it's just him and the kids. But when he does go out, he does the one night stand. He doesn't want a relationship and makes that known. But when he had one amazing night in the on-call room, that night is burned in his memory. Jensen keeps imagining the blonde bombshell and wished he did things different with her. With his home being renovating, he looks forward to talking his designer, Sarah.

At the beginning I didn't care for Jensen with his one night stand ways. I didn't like the man. But once the two realized who each other were, I saw Jensen turn into a real man. He breathed for Sarah and their new child. The love that Sarah had for his two grown children made Jensen love Sarah even more. They were in love.

I highly recommend reading the two other series to get a better understanding of characters.
