Interesting book with more depth than most SIlhouettes, there is also less sex. Jenny and Chase have a close relationship that has lasted years, although eleven of them are spent apart. Family, work, inheritance, and class all contribute to their separation and their getting back together. Although the steel mill is the center of the story, you don't spend much time there, so you don't get much of a feel for it, other than severe heat, sparks, and gray dirt everywhere. Still my sympathies were more with Chase than with Jenny as the story unfolds. I'm not sure I could have survived as he did.

Not Mallery's best work: story line seemed forced.

Mill owner's son falls in love with the Union President's daughter but when she doesn't tell the whole story of what happened one summer night it changes all their lives. When his father becomes ill she sends for him . Can they finally be honest with each other and find their way back together or is it really too late.

Another great romance from Susan!
Predictable but perfect in everyway. A lovely book to fall into. An easy read with all the emotions. If you like romance and second chances You're in for a treat.

Heartwarming
If this story didn't touch your heart you must be cold. Family played a large part of this story and touched me personally. Keep writing great stories Susan Mallery and I'll keep reading.

An oldie
Classic romance...not great, not bad just a bit predictable and somewhat stereotypical. Since it was a loaner from the library not a bad deal.

Nice book
The story flowed well, but I thought the storyline was a little stale. It was easy to read and had a realistic view of industries.

Beautiful Second Chance
This was such a touching story. The love between Chase and Jenny is so powerful, even from the beginning, that you can't help but root for them.
