Dale Mayer masterfully brought, two old friends and lovers, Ryder and Caitlyn, back together in this book. I absolutely loved the way Ryder and Caitlyn’s relationship had history, it really brought their relationship to life and brought depth to their relationship that I enjoyed. I adored that Ryder had loved Caitlyn since they were kids but that she never knew. Caitlyn’s reasoning for running didn’t impress me, but her stalking attempts, friendship with Mac, her need to help others and true fee ...more

Ho hum. This book was, well, took me longer to finish. I didn't like Caitlyn. I loved Ryder, hot, strong and knows what he wants. Caitlyn's reason for leaving Ryder was heck, hard to swallow. Really. I almost didn't want them together but Ryder wants Caitlyn so...

Gotta love Ryder's buddies. Corey is the best bud ever. Hope there's a book about him soon. Mac, well, he should've been less patient with Caitlyn and gone straight to Ryder...

The majority of Ryder’s story is set in the dusty, desolate battlefields of IRAQ. Amid the heat of battles for this Seal and his Team, the tense operations of a MedicalTrauma team, and rebel forces continuing their fight for supremacy, desperate for medical supplies at any cost - this book delivers a friendship to romance journey, with lives at stake.

Amidst the suspense filled backdrop of war, Dale Mayer brings two life long friends together. Their platonic friendship marred by heartbreak and mi

This is the fourteenth book in this series. However, even though, the author mentions characters from other books, this book still works very well as a stand-alone book.

In this story, Ryder and Caitlyn have been best friends since childhood. Unfortunately, one weekend, they overstep their bounds and sleep together. Ryder confesses his love, but Caitlyn runs away in confusion. As a result of this, the two of them have not seen each

Best friends crossed the line…

This is the fourteenth book in the SEALs of Honor series that can be read as a stand-alone.

For twenty years Navy SEAL Ryder Lewis had a female best friend, their relationship had always been platonic though he cared more for her than she knew and then one weekend with the help of alcohol they crossed the line into the physical and he lost that friendship. It’s been two years with no contact and lots of regret. Checking in on an injured friend at the base camp medica

Oh my goodness ... this book is going to hit you HARD in two very unusual and very different ways! First, the love story - it's a great second-chance friends-to-lovers romance. Caitlyn and Ryder were friends for decades; he stood by her through boyfriends and a husband, hiding his true feelings until she needed a shoulder to cry on after her divorce. That weekend is referenced in hindsight, but Ryder shared ALL his feelings and it was just too emotionally wrenching for Caitlyn so she shut him ou ...more

Another Great Hero!

Numerous missions in the dangerous area of the far east find Ryder and his team battling the enemy’s constant attempts to overrun and attack the innocent people that live in the area. His focus is not quite complete ever since his best friend, Caitlyn, ended their twenty year friendship by just walking out of his life. His focus is really hindered when he finds out that Caitlyn is a trauma nurse and stationed at the medical outpost where he is headed along with his team and an

Caitlyn made a big mistake not contacting Ryder after a spectacular weekend that ended with his declaring his love for her. She'd walked out but she did so because she was overwhelmed. Now so much time has passed and she's made another big mistake by getting Mac to take her to a barbeque where she thought she'd be able to talk to him. Instead he left to avoid her.

A military nurse, Caitlyn is once again deployed, she's also where Ryder and his team are assigned. Although she is in the same camp,

Ryder is a SEAL and has spent his career in all sorts of dangerous places but it pales in comparison to when he lost the one good thing in his life - his best friend Caitlyn. When Ryder goes to a medical facility to visit a friend he sees her working there and wonders if he can cope with the torture of her not being his anymore but maybe being just his friend so he doesn't lose her completely. Caitlyn is determined to work anywhere - even overseas if it means she can see him after she screwed up ...more

Books are my biggest entertainment and my escape and relaxation. Some authors are my go to gals and Dale Mayer is definitely one of the top 5. She never fails to get your attention and keep it through the Epilogue. She always leaves a hint about the next book in a series, you know just to keep the excitement going.

Ryder is the 14th book in the best selling SEALs of Honor series!

This book has all the feels of friends to lovers,2 broken hearts, second chance love with a HEA for Ryder & Caitlyn

I am impressed at how Dale Mayer managed to write 14 books in the same series and yet made every single one feel like a new, original story.
Ryder, the main character, is a member of the same team of Navy Seals as the protagonists of the previous books. I liked hearing again about them, but I also appreciated how the story is fresh, new and a complete stand alone.
SEALs of Honor: Ryder is primarily a book about a military team. The narration is action packed, with plenty of twists and turns that k

So Dale Mayer is still a fairly new to me author but I can say I am utterly and completely SMITTEN with her incredible SEALs of Honor and heck, ANY military romantic suspense stories. Ryder was action packed excitement with sizzling, sweet, romance, plenty of spine chilling suspense and a fantastic plot! I can't believe this is my second book by Miss Mayer. How I could of missed this series is beyond me, but now that I found it, you can bet I plan on going back

Navy SEAL Ryder and Military nurse Caitlyn were best friends for 20 years until the night they crossed the line and Caitlyn panicked and not only did she send him away she ignored him when he attempted to contact her. After some self-reflection she realized that she made the biggest mistake of her life but every attempt she makes to fix it only makes it worse.

She has taken an overseas assignment in the hopes of seeing Ryder again and they meet again when his teammate and her friend is injured. I

I do so love these books by Dale Mayer, there’s action, suspense, a hot SEAL and a beautiful woman who steals his heart. This time the two have known each other for decades, used to be best friends and for one weekend lovers. Ryder has always loved Caitlyn and waited around until she finally realized it as well. Unfortunately their one and only weekend had her running away after and leaving Ryder broken. Years later it seems she has moved on with one of his SEAL brother’s...but all is not what i ...more

This book is a little different in that Ryder has known Caitlyn for 20 or so years. He has loved her for almost as long but they had only been friends. She dated other men until on fateful weekend when they made love like they were the last two people on Earth. But Caitlyn walked away from him, leaving him hurt, angry, and destroyed.

Unbeknownst to him, she was watching him from afar, trying to figure a way to see him again so they could talk. She was confused as well. She takes and assignment o

A truly suspenseful read with lots of tenseness and excitement. Threats surround Caitlyn keeping Ryder and his team on their toes and chasing all over the place to keep her and the camp safe. Things have been strained between him and her over the last few years despite them having been best friends, so there is some angst until they can talk things out and solve their issues. No time to get to comfortable or settled in this fast paced action packed read, it kept me on the edge of my seat through ...more

I love Dales Seals of honor series and I loved reading about Ryder and Caitlyn. They both had a friendship that spanned for over 20 years until her celebratory party for her divorce and they both crossed the friendship line but Ryder said the three magic words "I love you" then she ran and didn't have contact for 2 years.

They both meet up whilst deployed but don't say much to each other. Caitlyn gets kidnapped twice throughout the book and they are both battling their feelings for each other, e

Ryder is Dale Mayer’s 14th book in the SEALs of Honor series. As per my usual, I’ve come late into the game. I actually got hooked on Dale’s writing on her contribution to the Sleeper SEALs series that she recently released. I loved it so much, I got this, as well as the first 6 books in the series. (I’ve got a LOT of catching up to do!)

SEALS of Honor Series Book Fourteen
Ryder Lewis had lost his best friend two years ago after a weekend that had changed their friendship—and his life. She had walked out without a word. Two years later she's back. But not with him.

Caitlyn made a huge error a few years ago. She left without talking things out. Now, she's missing her best friend. Being overseas as a military nurse is way out of her comfort zone, but the men need to be helped and she needs to be helping. And maybe
Overview: Another Seals of Honor book, this one is different as it takes place in the field!
This was a very good entry in the series showing us how Ryder and Caitlyn work out their differences while serving their country.
There is some great action in this book.

Maturity Level: Some Hot sex scenes at the end of the book!

Wow, this story is great! It's got everything, it's thrilling, full of action, mystery. Ryder was Caitlyn's best friends since they were teenagers. But after one weekend spent together, her whole world was turned upside down. Especially since Ryder told her that he loved her. When they meet again will Ryder be able to overcome the hurt she caused him? Will he let her back into his life again? This is the story I love the most of all the fourteenth books, Ryder and Caitlyn, are two beautiful heroes, she’s the toughness of a seal and the kindness of a woman in a unmerciful land like Iraq, as Baghdad, this story has a delicate and intense side linked to a most hard and devastating one related to the exact reality you face all around the city. Ryder and Caitlyn story was somewhere along second-chance-story and best-friends-to-lovers-story. They were best friends, until they’re not. Couple years past, they meet again, some awkward moments, then reconcile moment, suspenseful moments, and finally they made up and have their HEA. Plots that had been used quite many time, but with Iraq as the background. It still held interest though. There was something different with the storyline, an unusual twist that you should read to enjoy it.

Dang I love Ryder (okay I love all of Ms. Mayer’s SEALs.) I had a hard time understanding Caitlin though. I don’t know if it is because I’m older or what. There were several scenes where she tried to explain herself but it made no sense to me. I did overlook it though as it was a major part of the story. WOW! The stories just keep coming. Ryder had been jilted by Caitlyn but he still loved. Caitlyn knew she made the biggest mistake of her life when she walked away from Ryder. Ever since then, Caitlyn has been trying to talk to Ryder about what she did to him. At first he wanted nothing to do with her but slowly he realized that he couldn't stay away from Caitlyn.
