Great ideas, needs more pictures

Contains a lot of great craft ideas to spark the creative mind. The projects are described in a step-by-step manner but without pictures to demonstrate what needs to be done. Some of the projects have pictures of the finished work but a think at the minimum all the projects should have at least one picture, it makes it easier to follow.
However, if one was to read carefully and follow the written instructions one will get the project done, or at least get an idea you can refine to make something great on your own.
Recommended for anyone with a crafty and artistic mind.

Crafting

To be honest I have never been a crafter, I'm more of an accident waiting to happen type of person. I was able to make a coat rack and it even looks good! With the help of this book. I qould recomend this book for crafting for anyone from experienced crafters, to those just starting out. I cant wait to make more things!

There's a lot of idea's BUT...

Although it's a bit basic it could've been a good book for beginners BUT, there's no step by step photos or images & hardly any pictures of the finished product. I found this book to be a bit of a disappointment, I also thought that some projects were added simply as filler & were only a variation of a previous item.

Almost no pictures

These crafts range from kindergarten to advanced. The tougher instructions are oversimplified. Most crafts require skills and tools most people don't own. You might get ideas from this book, but you'll be left going to YouTube for actual instructions.

Expecting More Photos

I liked a lot of the craft ideas presented in this book but was expecting photos of the finished crafts. There were photos of a few of the crafts but not of very many. It was like reading a recipe book with no photos of the finished food. Very disappointing.

Of course, with Covid, a person is looking for something to do. Although, the book is comprehensive, there is nothing new. I was hoping to find a craft I have never done.

Awesome craft ideas

This book has a ridiculous amount of crafting ideas in it. From creating your own soap and body scrub, to making your own jewelry. I enjoyed learning about all the things I could create and can’t wait to get started on some of these projects!

I'm going to offer some constructive criticism, because this book could have been successful if a few key principles had been followed.

Crafters are visual people, not readers. Clear, bright, representative visuals are what is needed to first sell the idea of the craft and then show how to accomplish it. The visuals in this book were all dim, black and white, with poor contrast. Yes, good visuals are expensive, but in a crafting book, they are necessary.

The text itself suffered from a sort of windows and orphans problem, where section titles would dangle at the end of a page, but the text belonging to that title would be on the next page. The audience will have a hard time trusting your aesthetic vision if you don't care about the aesthetic of your book.

Remember that any how to book is at first a sales catalog: first sell the product, then show them how to make it.

Mis- subtitled! Instead of the "Top 300 Best Crafts" it should say "Craft Ideas." So, annoyed at that. This book seems to be a self-published book. After just a few pages, I opted to just read the different "craft ideas" in each chapter, and if it look interesting, to read further. Poor page design, poor editing, poor photography (some really pixilated), not to mention lame craft ideas.
