Let's start off by saying this is a new author for us and we really looked forward to reading
this one but it just turned out not to be my cup of tea as they say.

I have to say I like the characters especially Blu she was so cute and needy but oh so lovable.It broke my heart to see such sadness in that little girl after losing her mother in such a tragic manner she has never been the same.

I really wanted to like this story but it just didn't click with me.I don't have a problem with stories that are about love at first sight kind of romance but, this romance between Dana and Hutch moved way to quickly for me.If Blu had not been involved in the outcome and the end game I might have accepted their relationship being a world wind romance.

I am all about the story being fiction and make believe but in stories like this they also have to believable at least for me.Not only that I have a problem with the romance moving so quickly and them being in love the author had a sheltered virgin jumping into bed and having intense raunchy sex the first time around and then after.A sheltered virgin would need a little bit of wooing right? If she had a little bit of sexual experience their first encounter may have been more believable to me.I could except her wanting to explore her own fantasies with the dirty talk and so fourth but I just could get past the part that she was a sheltered virgin.


Though I liked several things about the characters themselves this was just not the kind of story I could get into and connect with the characters and when that didn't happen I new then and their I wasn't going to enjoy this one and that it was just going to be an okay read for me.But, from the other reviewers they loved this one it just wasn't for me.

Her writing is simple, intense, hot and sassy. Oh boy!
Be My Sailor is her newest release and tells the stories Dana and Hutch.
And just one look at the blurb and I knew that this book would be hot as hell.
Dana's father is the Captain from the cruise that she travels. She works there with him as a singer and she really enjoy her time. She's used to be flirted aot but she never give them the chance go pursue it.
Hutch is a single dad that focus his life in giving the best for his little princess. He's a very rich man due to is own work.
He had lost the love of his life and now he needs to take care of his daughter.
One day he decides to embark in a cruise and...
Just for you to see how much money he has he reserves the cruise just for them. So you can guess...
It was a great story with a good plot. The interaction between the characters was great and interesting. We are gifted with some hot scenes as well. For me I wanted more from this story. I wanted more from the characters, more from their life's after. Let's hope we can read about them on other books.

I fell in love with each character , just like Hutch and Dana.
I love and recommend this book to everyone 😆 😙 , Lauren Wood always delivers a great book. The strong structure storyline and well developed characters and supporting characters brilliant exquisitely well written . The story is drama rom-com adventure provocative captivating sizzling chemistry strength of character hot streamy explosives sex emotional rollar coaster heartfelt and captivating from start to finish 💋 💖 . Interesting book, entertaining and likable characters. Good storyline, well written. Made me want to check out more of Lauren's books.

Dana lives on the cruise ship, Oceania with her ship's captain father. Despite it being a party cruise ship, Dana has lead a rather sheltered life and lacks experience when it comes to men and dating.
Hutch is a billionaire, single father that has rented out the entire ship for just himself and his daughter, Blu to enjoy a private cruise. Both are struggling to recover from a past family tragedy that had severally traumatized Blu. Hutch is hoping this cruise will help to heal her damaged spirit.
Both Hutch and Blu are taken with Dana when they meet and Hutch even requests that Dana instead of the cruise director show them around the ship and be their entertainment guide. Caroline, the director is not happy about it at all, she wants Hutch for herself.
After spending a very short time together, Hutch, Dana and Blu recognize that they have a special connection and both adults are eager to pursue it.
Not everyone is thrilled with the budding new relationship and may prove difficult as it grows. Are Dana and Hutch meant to be together? Do they have what it takes to make it despite obstacles and objections from others? Will Blu ever recover from her trauma and debilitating fear?

I am volunteering to leave a review for an arc of this book. I need to make a preliminary remark . In my opinion this book is written in a completely different style so I would like to let the reader know that you will not be reading about a bad boy. In fact this book has such a romantic touch that I felt like living in first person this beautiful story between Hutch and Dana. Both characters are unique and although being different in age they are a perfect match. Dana lives and works on a ship with her father and is the lead singer of the ship’s band. Here she meets Hutch a gorgeous billionaire and his scared daughter. They both have issues after losing dramatically his wife and mother and Hutch is taking this cruise to help his daughter regain confidence in herself. Hutch is immediately attracted to Dana and the attraction is reciprocated. Their passion will grow more and more and it will soon blossom into a deep love. After a series of twists they will finally find their happily ever after. An enchanting book, a story about a man who has a second chance in life and a woman who finally spreads her wings and flies . This is a must read.

A great read about a singer on a cruise ship, Dana, who also happens to be the Captain's daughter. When a billionaire, Hutch, rents the whole ship for a cruise so he and his daughter, Blu, can enjoy peace and security, Dana and Hutch are attracted to each other and Blu is comfortable around her. But there are still some mystery as to what happened to Hutch's wife and because of this Blu is scared of everything and everyone but with the help from Dana she finally starts to let go of some of her fear. The two enjoy their time together and soon are head over heals in love even with a few of the other ship employes trying to come in between them. But when Blu goes missing it's a true test to their love and finding Blu on the ship is top priority. Will they find her in time?
A great story with steamy scenes but there were a few unanswered questions for me, what really did happen to Blu's mom, we get a little bit of the story but not all of it and the ending about his employees and what Dana was really implying about them, otherwise a great read.

Then her dad breaks the news that the next cruise will be totally unique. A billionaire has bought out the whole cruise ship for him and his young daughter.
When Hutch and his daughter arrive on board Dana is surprised by how friendly and nice they are. Hutch and his daughter have suffered tragedy in the past and they are just starting to go back out in the world again. Any woman on board the ship would be happy to spend time with Hutch but he and his daughter just want Dana. Will Dana, Hutch and Blu be able to overcome their pasts to move on to a happier life?
This is a great book with a sweet romance. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

This was a great book. I almost cried towards the end when Blu was lost and Dana finally found her but had to rescue her from the SkyBike and they fell even though Dana was strapped to the harness. Immediate attraction almost like they knew each other before. Even though there was past trauma that Hutch and Blu were trying to deal with, Dana helps them get past their fear and pain without even knowing it at first. She sees the same pain in Blu that she had when she lost her mom years ago. Even though she is a virgin and inexperienced when it comes to dealing with men in this way they jump in with both feet.
Will this be just a week long vacation fling for Hutch or will it turn into something more? Will Dana be able to deal with everything including leaving her dad, who is the ships captain, or will she decide she can't leave him alone? Will Carolyn come between Hutch and Dana because she is jealous and wants Hutch for herself for the week?

As a mother I just wanted to put my arms around Blu, kiss her and tell her it's going to be alright. And by the description of Blu's dad, Preston, more than one woman would want him for herself.

Preston Hutchinson is a sexy, rich single dad and has a heart of gold. It shows throughout the story of what lengths he will go to to make his daughter feel safe and loved. Hence him renting the cruise ship Oceania for a week, just him and his daughter.

Dana, daughter of the Seth Ballard, Captain of the Oceania is such a impressive woman, even though she's only 21 years of age. So full of hope and dreams, wanting to discover herself and find love.

Powerful and So Much More!! Must-read book.

Dana is a singer on her father's cruise ship. Hutch rents the cruise ship for a private cruise for him and his daughter. They have dealt with sadness recently and he thinks this will help bring her happiness back. When Hutch sees Dana, he has to have her. She can't deny the attraction they both have, but doesn't know how to think or feel when her father is the captain and Hutch and his daughter are the only passengers. She doesn't want her personal life to get mixed up with business. One of her band mates and the ship's concierge have different plans in mind though. Things take a turn for the worse in the biggest port and fears are revealed. I was so happy to see the ending that Dana and Hutch have, even through the tears. I absolutely loved this book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Overall, this was a pretty good read. Not my favorite by this author but still good. I like that this took place on a cruise ship as I have not read any books that have taken place in a setting like that. I enjoyed the characters but did feel like they needed a little more to them and I also wish that the author had gone into more detail about Hutch's late wife's death so that you can have more of an understanding of why Blu, his daughter, was always so terrified. It was briefly touched upon but not enough, to me, to really understand.

This was a sweet and endearing story of a single billionaire father and his young daughter trying to pull their lives back together after morning his late wife, is the young singer and captains daughter of the cruise ship they are on enough to help them both move on with their lives. This was a great read and I am sure that anyone who enjoys a sweet romance will love this book, it is not an overly long book and is easily read in an evening it also keeps you wrapped up in its pages so it is easy to loose track of time. This is a stand alone book with an enjoyable end, I hope you enjoy.

Yup, he is rich enough to rent an entire cruise ship so that he and Blu can relax and get to know one another again after her mother is murdered. Greeting him on the gangway, she stands out to him. This is a true romance book, and each help the other to grow into who they are meant to be--both together and individually.

This was a pretty good book, but would be a lot better with more proofreading, i.e., grammar and spell-checking.

Had the privilege of reading and ARC copy. What a great story. Love can come out of tragedy. You may have to work for it, but it's worth it. Hutch lost his wife in a tragedy and Dana lost her mother to cancer 10 years ago. To help his daughter get over the loss of her mother Hutch rents a cruise ship for them for a week. Dana and her father starting working on the ship after the death of her mother.
If love at first site is a thing it is what happened to Hutch and Dana. They have lots of adventure and heartache during the week trip, but love still finds a way to rise above it all.

Lost Innocence on a Cruse

Awesome storyline and great characters. Loved the ending. This was a suspenseful kinda story with lots of sexy hot romance. It was about a father that lost his first wife to murder and rape. Left alone to raise his daughter. He goes on a cruse to help his daughter to lose the fear of loss and find a second chance at love.
This book also had several extra stories about hot bad boys and true alphas. With various generas like cowboys,aliens, military second chances, taboo, older guy younger girl. Various hot reads. All unique style of writing.

I loved the theme about being afraid because of things that happens in your life. A different theme than usual!
I like the way the book has been so well written that you almost feel you are there on the cruise ship.
The name of the book does not suit it - but it is still a very great book with lots of chemistry, action filled, romance, jealousy and lots of emotions.

Hutch & Dana are immediately attracted to each other, much to the chagrin of a sexually aggressive staff member. There are other jealousies and other issues on the ocean liner. This is a book that will immediately get you engrossed and make you sympathize with all of the characters. I would love to see where some of the secondary characters go. I would also like to see what happens in the real world with Dana and Hutch and not just on the ship. This is a coming of age story, even though the character is 21. She is very sheltered on the cruise ship her father captains. Almost an instalove story. I think the lack of friendships for the characters is a big drawback for me. It would have been nice to have that and a more of Hutch's backstory. The similarity between Dana and Hutch's daughter is great for the story.
