you learn a lot from the 15th century. It is amazing to learn how a sailing trip needed to be planned for weeks and what kind of food is needed to survive. I also understood how unnecessary trips to Estonia happened for fighting against Estonians in the name of the church. The book itself on the other side is not „fesselnd“ so it does not keep you engaged. I ended up reading to learn and not to enjoy, so I stopped after a third.

Over een dichter-diplomaat uit de jaren 1400. Mooie sfeerschepping en randinformatie uit de Middeleeuwen in dit boek. Was een van de laatste echte ridders. Die Oswald von Wolkenstein. Met een goed aantal gedichten van de man ook. Brute tijd. Raar.
