She hated to admit it, but having Luke around DID make her life easier. It was such a blessing to have another adult to lend a hand, and her boys trailed him around and pestered him instead of her. Plus, Luke had taken over milking and feeding the animals morning and night, leaving her free to do what needed doing in the house. Having an extra set of strong hands really helped on a farm. 98

This story truly is Love Inspired - with the matchmaker from Seven Poplars helping to give Luke a second chance at winning the heart and hand of Honor King, the person he left at the altar nine years ago. He is returning to the area in the hope of rekindling their love after the death of the man she married after he abandoned her. First, however, he has to win the trust of Honor and get her to speak to him again if he’s to stand any chance. She’s now a widow with four children under seven years

I loved this story and it made me smile, especially when the book opens and the boys fly out of the barn and into a mud puddle, oh boy does Honor have her hands full!
The author has a young man Luke returning to his roots and the woman he literally left at the altar, and now he wants to rekindle his relationship, with the help of the Matchmaker, with Honor. We get to watch as he works his way back into her life, a little bit at a time.

Isn't that a great cover? It perfectly captures Honor -- you can see the steely glint of determination in her expressions, can't you? And that determination is to keep Luke from needling his way back into her life. She is so prickly every time he shows up it's awkward and funny and a little bit heartbreaking because he is so besotted. And Honor's kinner are a hoot. Rough and tumble and out of control. This doting mama needs a crash course on child discipline which makes a relationship with Luke

Honor King and Luke Weaver had a past, thus when Amish Matchmaker Sara Yoder brought Luke to Widow Honor’s home she was not to happy. The condition of Honor’s home and farm along with antics of her three young sons indicated there was work plus discipline that needed to be accomplished. It was nice to see how the young boys took to Luke from the beginning. Add in how the relationship of the past hurt and forgiveness between Honor and Luke needed to be resolved, new admiration, a near tragedy and

This is a reunion romance. Honor is a widow with four young children, the baby born six months after the death of her husband. She needs a husband and she asks the matchmaker to find her a nice steady, reliable man.
The man the matchmaker puts forward is Luke, who abandoned Honor on her wedding day. Devastated by his betrayal, she marries the first man who asks and it isn’t entirely successful. When he died, he left Honor with a delapidated house and farm and a very mischievous set of boys and he ...more

A Man For Honor is an incredible story of forgiveness written by Emma Miller in her The Amish Matchmaker series. This is the sixth wonderful story in this series. The author takes her readers back to Seven Poplars and Matchmaker Sara. I have enjoyed all of the stories in this series. The characters are very realistic and likeable us they bring this story to life.

I really enjoyed this. I have only read Amish books from a few different Authors and I like to see how their traditions are different. Each community has different rules. This was the most modern Amish community that I have been introduced to but I liked it. Honor needed help, she just couldn't admit it to herself. Her kids were running the household in their own little way. Being a widow with 4 small children had to be rough! I could not imagine, especially being so far from other families.

This is the first book I've read in The Amish Matchmaker series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I know I'll be reading more in the series and also by this author. I fell in love with Luke on page one! I just knew he was a good man with a loving heart.

Yes, I read silly little innocuous romances. Everyone should, at some point.
