This fishing tale is a mystery and adventure story written by Gary Alipio, a SCBWI writer from the New Orleans area. The talented illustrator is Sarah Gramelspacher. From the very first page this story holds your attention. It makes you want to find out what happens at the fishing contest.

Perfect read for any middle grader who likes fishing, the great outdoors, and humor. Eleven-year-old Hatcher Hampton tries to land a first place prize in a fishing rodeo with his Grandpa Grump while trying to avoid the one-armed, bizarre Lazarre. Along the way he encounters a humongous swamp legend. Great fun and great voice.

This book is a amazing story that made me laugh and sputter. I love the extreme details and nice description of the book. Gary Alipio did an amazing job on this book. If Gary is reading this I want him to know that Linda Owens your friend from your book club asked me to do this. I was happy to do this project. Thank you for writing such an amazing book.
