Book 1 of the Trident Legacy Series by NYT Bestselling author Sharon Hamilton, SEAL Of Time. We are brothers, the Sons of Poseidon, though our mothers have gone many eons ago. Given special powers, we are required to protect humanity from the dark forces of the universe that coalesce and then plunge back into the inky pit of evil only to rise up again to be defeated. It would be a lonely journey, without mother or family of my own, were it not for my brothers. But the preservation of mankind is a worthy calling, and one I shall do until the end of time, or the end of my time. I am Tay Demmett. I have chosen for these next few years to live as a Navy SEAL, an elite medic to an elite team of brothers not unlike the Sons of Poseidon. This is my story.

I found this book very interesting and intriguing. Tay is half human and half immortal because his mother was human and his father is Poseidon. He has lived many lives and in this one he is a new member of SEAL team 3. One night he looks off his balcony and sees a woman standing near the water and something about her calls to him. As he gets closer to her he can hear her singing and it reminds him of a siren's song. Their coming together is magical and seems to be destined, but Marney is determined to leave. Fate has other plans to keep the two of them together, but how can that be if one will grow old and one will not and what of the SEALs? This story had an interesting ending, but I am really hoping for more in the Trident Legacy and SEAL team 3.

Tay Demmett, has chosen to be a Navy Seal not so unlike the Son's of Poseidon and this is his story.
He is to remain and serve the human race to protect them from harm as he has done for centuries, I am immortal and have so lived for a very long time.
Now serving as a Seal in the Navy under Kyle and others like him who serve and protect.
Meeting Marney has also brought back feelings I though were long dead, but she reawakened them and now I am totally lost in this human woman, will both Tay and Marney find the love that is invading their pores or will Tay leave her so she can find a love with a human male, read the story its a good one well writen and it brings back characters from other books that Sharon so lovingly wrote and created.

I enjoyed this story! In the beginning I wasn’t quite sure what was going on as Tay is swimming with the dolphins, he encounters someone in a water suit working with underwater machinery. He’s curious and as he gets closer watches the person get shot. He cloaks himself and saves the human. He is able to heal. He fixes the fatal wounds leaving just enough as not to question being hurt.
Then we fast forward a couple years and Tay has joined the Navy Seals. He is on the same team as Ollie, the man he saved a few years back. He likes what he’s doing and is great at it bec he comes from the water. He hides his gills so the others won’t catch on as to why he’s so fast underwater. He bought a house on the beach. One night he feels the need to mate and decides to walk on the beach looking for someone. He is drawn to a red head singing at the waters edge. He is so nice that you can’t help but like him. Marney has finished schooling and tonight is her last night in San Diego. She is headed North to work in a winery. When Tay approaches her she is taken with him. She agrees to have tea with him and they end up with lots of feelings for each other. As she’s heading out the next day, she’s in a wreck and Tay heals her fatal wounds. While she’s in the hospital he talks her into staying with him while she heals. He’s sent on a mission so there’s a little action. When he gets back, he feels he has to explain who and what he is. He is the son of Posiden and a mortal woman. She loves him and is happy even though he won’t grow old with her and possibly not be able to have children. In the end, it’s a full moon and he has an idea …. They have an adventure in the water.
This was a fun quick read. There’s more love than action, however, I really liked them together. It does have a HEA. I can’t wait for more books to follow so we can find out how their water adventure turns out.

SEAL OF TIME is a unique departure from Ms. Hamilton’s usual SEAL adventures. It’s an intriguing and exciting concept that you are sure to enjoy reading. This novella is an introduction to the Sons of Poseidon beginning with Tay Demmett, an immortal and a healer, who has already lived 100’s of years and currently is serving mankind as a Navy SEAL. There are, of course, supernatural elements as well as moments of danger, risk, and excitement. Tay, also, finds a love interest in a mortal woman; one he may ultimately lose, adding just the right touches of romance with some angst from a bit of life-threatening action and lust with plenty of steamy passion. Overall, this is a fast-paced, entertaining read that is sure to keep you engaged from start to finish. I only wish there was more to Tay and Marney’s tale. Hopefully, there will be more to come.

I received a complimentary copy of this novella and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

10 stars!!!

It has been some time since I have read the SEAL Brotherhood Series (I'm seriously thinking of re-reading them next!) I thoroughly enjoyed this enchanting tale. The book shows that it is a part of a series Trident Legacy (Sons of Poseidon) but I don't see another book. It has been some time since this was written so I hope to see more in the future.

I was completely submerged into the world where half-mortal / half-god Tay lives. Be still my heart! I found myself re-reading sections as there were some very touching scenes and I didn't want to let it go. I loved the dual POV format here. Mortal here so reading Tay's POV was unworldly (bad pun here!)

There were a few highly glossed over sexy scenes (highly glossed over) but a parent should make the choice for someone under the age of 18.

Wow! The writing in this book is almost lyrical. There was a rhythm to it seemed to enhance the kind of magical, mystical feeling of the story.

Often, the h and H have chemistry, but in this book I felt Marney and Tay had more of a deep almost spiritual connection instead of chemistry. There was a point in the book where I felt a little sad, that morphed into shocked, which morphed into amazed.

I have to say this book kept me on my toes. There was nothing I felt was formulaic, almost nothing happened that I anticipated, and the ending was intriguing. I cannot say it ended on a cliffhanger. I can say it left me feeling bereft, and wanting more. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

I don't understand all the good ratings this book received. Unfortunately I don't like it, I think there is no build up or mystery and the sex sense somehow managed not to be very exciting despite being reasonably explicit. I think the complete lack of lead up ruined it for me. He almost immediately meets her on the beach, almost immediately they have a magical connection without any explanation for why. Basically it seems to just be sex based, no romance or personality based reasons for it. It's also odd that she asks him about his mother after just having met him and fucked him. Why is that what you would ask. I really don't feel invested in the characters at all and don't think it's well written.

Tay is a son of the sea god Poseidon born to a mortal woman. He is tasked with protecting humanity. After rescuing a Navy Seal Tay decides this is the best way for him to carry this out. Years later he becomes a member of Seal Team 3 where he again meets the Seal he had rescued. On the beach he has a chance meeting with Marney. They feel an instant bond that neither of them fully understand.

Sharon Hamilton has again created 2 great characters. Seal Of Time is a novella and I was very disappointed that Tay and Marney's story was over so quickly. I look forward to seeing them in other books about Seal Team 3.

After Tay saved Oliver, he decides to join the Navy to become a SEAL. He soon discovers Marney, a human that plans to leave San Diego the following day. Convincing her to come over for tea in his appreciation for her singing, they end up spending the night together. She has to leave for her new job the next day but a fatal accident prevents this. Will Tay be able to save her and convince her not to leave especially once she learns of his true nature? Can Tay keep his secret from his SEAL brothers as well? Loved this short story and hope there is more to come!

Hamilton has written an intriguing novellas about a son of Poseidon and his inadvertent quest to find love.

I enjoyed this novella immensely. The characters are written with incredible imagination and the story is so creative. There is wonderful character dynamics for a book of this length. The descriptions of past times and underwater adventures are fantastic.

I highly recommend this novella to fans of the contemporary romance genre. While paranormal is not my favorite genre, the elements in this book were an added bonus.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book.

The leading man are descendants of Poseidon.  This was centered around the idea if love was worth giving up their mortality.

Paranormal books are not normally something I read, but I do like them.  I like to read them because of them being different than my normal genre.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Brother in arms as well as by Sea
Seal of Time by Sharon Hamilton bring to life a son of Poseidon and joins him with Seal team 3. It a story about brothers of both the Seal team type and those all belonging to Poseidon and his mission for all his sons, to help out mankind. And let’s not forget about the love story that also takes place.

More please...

Loved the start of this story. I'd like to see more of Tay and Marney, and what how the passage of time impacts them both. Also want to find out more about the half brother that's also a SEAL. Lots of intriguing ideas to explore with this starting story. Highly recommend as a continuing link in the SEAL Team 3 series.

What an absolutely charming love story. Sharon Hamilton's PNR spin on SEAL of Time was captivating. From the first page to the last my interest was held by both Marney and Tay as they navigate their romantic relationship.

I do not read much paranormal, but I will definitely make an exception for this series from Sharon Hamilton. Weaving Tay, an immortal son of Poseidon, in with the guys from Seal Team 3 was masterful! A quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed!

This story has a very unique look at romance and the gods. Tay is not just half god but he is a man that cares about others. His encounter with Macey starts a series of events. I love the unique ending to this story. #CMCon24

Perfect story!! The only fault with the book was the lack of a more explicit ending. SPOILER i would like to think he became mortal or made her immortal.
