Mystical, heartwarming, and deliciously suspenseful!

The Divine Heart is a compelling, coming-of-age mystery about friendship, family, transplants, mental illness, first loves, and teen drama all interwoven with a thread of the paranormal.

The characters are young, strong, and adventurous. The prose is clear, crisp and precise. And the plot has just the right amount of tension, angst, danger, emotion, and excitement to keep you intrigued right until the very end.

Overall, I think The Divine Heart w

The Divine Heart pulls you right into the story from page one. Elle is a well developed and captivating character. The concept of this novel is not new, but Danielle Mani delivers a well written story with unique twists.

How should I put into words? The Divine Heart is really amazing. I love it very much!

Elle Collins' health is not in a good shape. She has been in and out from hospital for since she was a kid. She lives with her mother after her father died. Elle has been treated by a young, handsome doctor who she has a crush on. Then one day, she got a heart attack at home and been brought to the hospital and got a heart transplant right o

Just a reminder that this will be a spoiler-free review of The Divine Heart by Danielle R. Mani.

I want to preface this review by saying that YA Paranormal novels are not generally my go-to area for reading enjoyment. However, when Danielle reached out to me I could not deny that I was very intrigued by the premise of the book (also, that beautiful cover!)

I really enjoyed Elle and I liked how the author didn’t glamorize her sickness. We get the sense at the very start of the story that this prota

3.5 Stars in my Sky!

I enjoyed this cute paranormal teen drama - It's got romance, intrigue and a bucket load of YA drama.

I have to admit I wasn't initially sure about the concept because it's a very sensitive subject for me. I lost a close friend a while ago only a few years after she received a heart transplant. I wasn't sure how I'd feel reading about a young girl with similar problems. The paranormal and mystery elements helped balance out

WOW…just….WOW. The Divine Heart has surprise after surprise rising from the pages, and what I thought would be a ‘simple’ heart transplant story explodes into so much more leaving me sad to see it end.

I won a paperback copy of The Divine Heart, and I immediately began reading it.

This was a fast and interesting read.
The main plot is actually very interesting. When I read the sypnopsis I wasn't completely in love with it, I wasn't convinced. However, after reading the book, I have to say that the story is pretty cool.
While I was reading it, I felt like I was watching Ghost Whisperer and that is really good because I really liked that TvShow! It was awesome to feel those feelings again.
The suspense in this book was very well developed. The reader feel the need to discover

This is a gripping novel.

It is emotional at the beginning when Elle is sick. But after she gets her heart transplant the story takes an eerie turn, which was amazing.

The story of Elle’s new powers is woven together perfectly with the ordinary problems that most teenagers face, such as first love. This makes the story relateable, even though there are paranormal aspects.

The twists were so thrilling, I couldn’t put the book down. I ended up becoming suspicious of everyone, though there weren’t

A great story with lots of "heart".
I really enjoyed this well written, coming-of-age story about a young girl dealing with more than her fair share of the hardships faced by a normal teenager. A clever plot and well portrayed, true-to-life characters make this a great read for YA's and fans of shows like Medium and The Ghost Whisperer.

First of all, let me say a huge thank you to Danielle for getting in touch and sending me a wonderful book package all the way from New York - I really appreciate it! And of course, these opinions are my own, although I didn't purchase the book myself.
This was a lot of fun to read - it's not my usual thing, but I really enjoyed it. It kind of reminded me of a horror film I once watched (but less creepy) where someone had an eye transplant and then started seeing ghosts and scary stuff through th

Have any of you ever read Meg Cabot's The Mediator series before? It's about a teenage girl who can speak to the dead, helping them crossover into the great beyond. Essentially, Danielle R. Mani's The Divine Heart is The Mediator series with the topics of heart donation and family secrets thrown in. I liked it but I didn't love it.

So lets start with what worked...

The idea that transplanted organs might also transfer emotions or memories isn't something new. In The Divine Heart, though, author Danielle Mani presents the idea with a paranormal twist. I liked this story! It was short enough to read in a couple of hours, but developed a well-thought-out mystery and solution in those brief pages. I'd love to see a Book 2, since the final events seemed to indicate a bigger story overall. There were several t

This was an amazing story from start to finish. You get to know the characters well and that makes it easier to connect and follow along. I love the was the supernatural is intertwined in this story as it is brought to light from a heart transplant. The path it leads Elle on to discover the truth about where her new heart is leading her and her discoveries she finds in the process are amazing as well. This leads to discoveries of a secret past she may have never known if it wasn't for her donor. ...more

“The Divine Heart” by Danielle R. Mani is a captivating book that is full of twists, mystery and addresses various themes. Targeting the teens and young adults, the book is worth reading because of its plot and building of characters. It is mysterious because a great part of it addresses what is beyond human experience and understanding. It addresses the spirit world where Elle Collins, a seventeen year old teenage is spoken to by the dead through spiritual ways. The book touches on interesting ...more

The Divine Heart by Danielle R. Mani pulled me in immediately with its first person witty narrative of a high school senior wryly tackling her senior year, crushes, and heart disease. When she receives a heart transplant, she is mysteriously recruited to solve an otherworldly mystery. Honest characters, flowing dialogue, relatable relationships, and jabs of emotion and shocking twists made me want to binge read it. My one issue, which made me waver between 4 and 5 stars in this review, was that ...more
