the great ship sailed out the harbour into the
storm at sea the wind sure does blow said the
galley slave calling for another load and the
great ship did sail on rising upon the ocean
waves
if you thing this
is a free trip
get off

the captain who rarely smiled fell through his
sailor's glass when he saw his escape mean-
while the crew always on mutiny lined up in
full attention bu the captain had lost his eyes
for the ship and continues the watch
in shadow the
form moves within
touch the hand
finds the
eye's breath

the captain slowly turned and look hard at
his ship for the last time and throwing the
sailor's glass to the first mate said it's all yours
and swam out to sea as the ship sunk with the
mutinous crew
time passes from the
mountain to the
valley heat
brings us
here

the dream lost in
living
eyes turn the
hand reaches to
the present

The History Now It Is Written Towards More Loving Times, for d. a. levy

long ago the riverbank
flowed your gentle sign the
lines foretold

death is crystal to the fact

black as this life
the heavenly force
actual
is solemn
there was time for laughter

and all the most terrible visions
and all the most golden dreams
upon each shadow
it is coming together

the silence in
your final act is
the final blessing
of what was before

tender now the time
becomes new for us
this is all
and the soldier sleeps
tears for a new arrival

A bizarre collection. Concrete work & a recurring set of characters and mountains and ships & seemingly a lot of violence. Reads easiest when you let adjective and noun orders slip, and let the visual formatting and the sounds take over. Really glad to have read this.
