Cassie Travers had built her concierge service up from the ground. She and Benita were doing well until an unscrupulous male stole their money, leaving Cassie struggling to make ends meet. Summer in San Remo by Evonne Wareham is a delicious summer read that will put you right in the mood for your holidays. When Cassie is offered an unusual Italian adventure with her successful and rich ex-boyfriend, she cant resist. Especially when it comes with a spot of revenge. Thoroughly enjoyable read. 4 stars

This was a glamorous fun read that made me seriously long for a holiday! My first book of Evonne's although I have a couple more on the kindle to read shortly so it definitely won't be my last.

This is such a lovely book. I absolutely adored both Cassie and Jake as they wet off in search of the mysterious Gerald Benson in, you guessed it, San Remo. The setting sounded glorious. It;s full of action and light-hearted fun. It's such an easy read and one where you just can't put it down.

A perfect

Childhood friends Cassie Travers and Benita Wells run a concierge service. With Cassie’s ex-Jason Fairbrook having recently absconded with the company’s money they’re currently in dire straits. However, a new job has just come in; one which seems fairly easy and pays extremely well. Unfortunately it requires Cassie to engage the services of someone to play her husband. After trawling through a list of guys they know, none of whom suit, Benita suggests using Kings, a local detective agency. The ...more

After a few days of cold weather and of course now all this snow, I really needed an escape so this book came at the perfect time. I really appreciated the delightfully summery feel to this cover and story!

It was so easy to get attached to the characters there was a fantastic chemistry between them that was so entertaining to see play out. The story was just perfect for keeping my attention and this was definitely down to Cassie and Jake their interactions made for some fun moments. The

This is the perfect beach read – pure escapism! Loved the sassy heroine and the hero who needed taking down a peg or two (even though he was gorgeous). The chemistry between them sizzled throughout and the setting was just as hot – what’s not to like about the French/Italian riviera? I really want to go there now! Stayed up till the early hours to finish this – definitely recommend it!

You can tell from the gorgeous cover with its mediterranean colours that Evonne Wareham’s Summer in San Remo is an altogether breezier caper then her previous romantic suspense novels.

I liked spirited Cassie from the moment I met her, envied her her Bath office space and concierge agency, if not her money worries and ready meals, and thought it said a lot about her that her best friend Benita worked for her. Jake took longer to warm to, if only because he seems so sure of himself and clearly

Cassie has an unusual job—heading an agency (or concierge) that handles cases that people don’t, or can’t, do for themselves such as getting holiday cottages redecorated, finding family trees. She’s been given a very lucrative assignment, one the agency just can’t refuse: she has to find a husband by tomorrow. All she has to do is pretend they’re a loving couple and her client will inherit a large home from his uncle.

Easy? Not when Cassie’s partner, Benita, arranges for Cassie’s “husband” to be

Cassie is a Jill of All Trades who will do anything to put her beloved company back in the black after her ex-boyfriend makes off with her money. Enter Cassie’s first love Jake along with a sketchy client, and things are only getting harder for her.

I thought this was the perfect summer beach read – it was light, entertaining, and a quick read.

I was provided a free advance copy of this book in return for an honest review. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would personally recommend it to anyone

A perfect summer read! It takes you from England to a lovely place in sunny Italy.
The story is fluently written. It is a feelgood book mixed with some humour and a hint of suspense.
You simply have to like Cassie and Jake. Cassie, the independent woman who acts tough to hide something else and Jake, the businessman with a heart of chocolate, but are they a perfect match? That is for me to know already and for you to still find out. So the only thing to do is to read the book and I promise that

Cassie’s life has been on a down swing lately. One ex-boyfriend who turned out to be the worst kind of jerk, the kind that steals money, ruins a business and breaks a trust. With one client to take on a somewhat unusual job for, although really all of Cassie’s jobs are out of the ordinary, she has this one last chance to save her concierge service business. And wouldn’t you know her luck. The “perfect” partner for this job is the one man she never thought to see

This book was a change of writing style for Evonne who usually writes romantic suspense novels and I, for one, am very pleased with the result.
This book is mainly focused on the two main characters Jake and Cassie however I’m pleased to say that despite this the book held my interest throughout and I found myself reading it at every opportunity.
Jake was Cassie’s first love but when he moved to America she didn’t hear from him again until years later when he walks back into her life and offers to

There are days when life decides to throw you a big, stinking curveball, making your mood plummet quicker than your favourite sports team losing their game. There are also days when you're able to pick up a book and lose yourself in the storyline, completely tuning out to everything outside of the fictional world you now inhabit. 'Summer in San Remo' is one of those books.

The cover of the book looked promising and got me into an instant holiday mood. I read this book in 5 days, which is not normal. I guess I wasn’t in the right place to read it. And I had a week in between there I wasn’t able to read because of a trip to Germany. Normally I read books like this in 1

Summer in San Remo had a setting that immediately appealed to me. The Italian Riviera! Who wouldn't want to go there, even if only vicariously? I also liked the fact that Cassie, the main character, runs a concierge service which is a bit different to other books I have read.

Cassie has had a bit of bad luck when a lucrative, but odd, assignment comes her way. But it means she needs the help of the man who broke her heart when she was 17, Jake McQuire. She swallows her pride and they head off on

‘Summer in San Remo’ is the perfect summer read! If you are feeling stuck in a slump in rainy Britain, then this is the perfect book to transport you to sunny Italy! Romantic, fun but with hints of mystery throughout, this is the a book you devour!

We’ve all had strange requests in our jobs, but our heroine Cassie takes the cake. Having to find a husband in a day would be something she’d laugh at before, but as her ex-boyfriend has left her penniless, she’ll take any job she can. Cassie was a

Once - 12 years ago - Jake and Cassie were young lovers. At 17 and he 19 she thought it would always last, but he went to his dad in the USA for 6 weeks and never returned. Her letters went unanswered and it broke her heart.

Cassie now runs a quite successful concierge-business but they are having trouble after an ex-employee (and her boyfriend) has run off with a big chunk of money. So when she gets a well-paying gig (although a bit shady) she needs someone to act as her husband and what she

What is the perfect job for someone who isn't sure what she wants to do? A concierge business where every day is different and Cassie has a chance to do a little of everything, including being the boss. She is a strong, independent woman, well except in one area. She has a weakness where her high school boyfriend is concerned. He left her to go off to college and broke her heart.
A few years later another boyfriend takes advantage of her and Cassie is back to square one, struggling to build her

I’m delighted to see – on the Choc Lit website – that this book is also due to be released in paperback on 9th July 2018. If you’re not an e-book reader, that’s such perfect timing – if there was ever a book I’d describe as perfect for reading on your sun lounger with a cocktail in hand, this has to be it (although I rather enjoyed it in snowy February too!). This was such a lovely, light, beautifully written get-away-from-it-all read. Romantic comedy isn’t always for me, but I enjoyed every ...more

This is a funny, cute easy to read book about taking a chance. Cassie owns a concierge service that provides "goods and services " to those who don't have their own resources or the time. She and co-owner, Bene, have sunk everything into the business. But, a guy Cassie was dating ans quite serious about, scammed them and took all their money. They are about to lose it all until a strange and lucrative offer comes to them. All Cassie has to do is pick up and deliver an envelope. She doesn't think ...more

Evonne Wareham is a very clever writer, she writes thrillers and, in the case of Summer in San Remo, a romantic romp with a touch of mystery.
Cassie's business is facing financial ruin, her ex-boyfriend has stolen most of the funds from her company, leaving Cassie with just one client's fee to keep her company solvent. Unfortunately, this invaluable client has now disappeared. In her quest to trace him, she has to ask for help from Jake, her long lost boyfriend from her teenage years. Cassie's
