When I started this book first time, I dropped after 15-20 pages, it felt boring, but I decided to give it a chance. Nice plot, but could've been easily short, this was wayy too long, with many unnecessary plot lines and arcs! Random tags abt the topics covered in book: Nurturing Children n Child abuse, Terrorism, Family, Cousins, Islam, Motherhood, East-west, Humanity. Characters were different, unique, but again writer could've work on their arc, it never felt enough enough. Pace of the book is very slow in first half, in second half it catches speed, but then events are a bit messy! Ending is hurried, and not that satisfactory. (acc. to me) Again, a plot and story which had lot of potential wasn't executed properly! Recommended to: Anyone who is fine with slow paced, long novel with lots of characters and timelines.
What an amazing Read ! I am truly in love with this novel, beautifully written. The First half of the story goes a bit slow and it was because this story is based on different stories of different characters yet related somehow.Lead characters of the Novel, Shehroz, Umer, Zara, Imama, Noor Muhammad all have different lives, roles, problems and struggles yet they are connected in a way which is why at first I thought of not continuing with it as it was very confusing with so many characters but thankfully I didn't drop it bcz the writer writing style was engaging and as the story moves forward I got connected with the story and specially with this one character Noor Muhammad oh the hardships he has gone through his journey it was painful. This novels covers topics such as social, moral, ethical, and political issues in Pakistan.Though Ehd e Alast deals with quite a few topics, it is primarily the story of Noor Muhammad whose life is destroyed because of parenting-gone-wrong.
Eahd-e- Alast By Tannzeela Riaz is san amazing & fabulous Novel, its connect the person with Allah . In the light of Quran& Hadith its explain the "promise of Our soul to his Rub" Allah initially made the soul of everyone and assemble them in Aalam-e-arwah and make an Ehed which refer in Quran (surah Al Araf Ayat 172). The beautiful part of the Novel is to make "10" "0" is the DUNYA and "10" is the DEEN. when they make 10 you will be completed. Another interesting connection is between MAA & BABY (9 moth) a completion feelings. All characters are very strong & power full. character of Nor Muhammad is the similar story of extremism. I read this novel in 2015 but in 2021 after my mom death I read it again & its given me the new way & new path to my life ah journey of "Saber"

First and foremost, the whole plot was framed with great perfection. Dealing with no. of different stories and many characters which have some weaknesses with unique strengths.
Next, I'm highly impressed with the author's way of delivering and showing the modest picture of Islam.
At last, she jolted down a very different subject regarding the agendas of anti-Islamic countries and forced us to look for the positive side of this country. There was hope, motivation, and inspiration for a better future for Pakistan.
I am looking forward to go through her other novels.
What a masterpiece. The purpose of story. Love for Country being ourselves. Bringing dark truths to light. Such an impressive novel. May Allah give her more power and rewards for writing this novel.
Though Ehd e Alast deals with quite a few topics, it is primarily the story of Noor Muhammad whose life is destroyed because of parenting-gone-wrong. I was not so sure whether I would be able to finish it or otherwise as the first 180-200 pages were only info regarding all the characters', their background, their history. They seemed vastly disconnected. However, beyond 180 or so pages the story finally began to progress and I was glad I did not give it up. I did not like Amaima's character nor did I like Tia at all. Apart from them, I think the author did a great job with everyone else and with the story overall.
I just finished reading this incredible book, and I'm still reeling. from the experience! The writing style is absolute perfection. engaging, emotive, and evocative. The author's mastery of language is evident on every page, making this a true joy to read.
But what really sets this book apart is its ability to resonate with readers on a deep level. The themes are universal, the characters are relatable and complex.
it's a must-read for everyone! Whether you're a bookworm or just looking for a great story, this novel has something for everyone. Trust me, you won't regret picking it up. The writing, the characters, the story... everything is amazing
This book would have been a five star book if the characters weren't so same. Like every character has something to explain and their style was also almost same and it felt like it is an explanation book rather than a novel. The storyline was good, but the ending wasn't at all satisfactory.. what happened to the book? what happened to the documentary? what happened with those Britishers? so many more questions were left unanswered. This was my first book of Tanzeela Riaz. Overall, I don't regret reading it as it did contain some valuable info.
It is my best read of this year. The characters I love are Umar, Noor and Suleman. Omar character was so good. He looked immature in start. But eventually, he transformed into a good human being. Next is most innocent Noor. There are many lessons associated with him. Last is Suleman What a masterpiece character he was. He was so deep and helping. We need more people like him.

It's a heavy read. A must read it's not like your typical story. It's a very Philosophical yet so realistic. I am still thinking why this novel didn't get any hype I mean the writer deserves all the praise for this exceptional peice. Pace is so slow so for those who gonna read this please don't judge this book based on its pace. Highly Highly Recommended I wish I can rate 1000 stars to this masterpiece.
ahhhhh kia khoosrurat Kahani hai . The writer discussed so many sensitive topics beautifully. The story and characters unfold slowly but every character was interesting and important .what a journey of Noor Muhammad, I cried for him many times 🥹 so many lessons to learn and a great read. 4.5 ⭐
