USA Today bestselling series

Good things come in extra-tall, smoking hot stilettos.

Things like Jocelyn Jones.

Jocelyn “Ice Queen” Jones is the hottest agent in town, and I’m determined to make her mine. My agent, that is. She’s the best at what she does, which is why I’m intent on keeping our relationship strictly platonic, even if the sexual tension between us i

- But likes yellow and purple? How confusing, maybe not.
-Hate Barbies bc you like sports. It's a dichotomy. There is no middle ground.

Fuck. Off.

I was super excited to read the next installment of this series because I absolutely fell in love with Lily's debut novel Delivery Girl! It was incredibly cute and well written. Imagine my surprise when I find out that the next in the series was going to be Jocelyn Jone's book, AKA "The Ice Queen" or "The Blonde Bitch".

You may say that Jocelyn has a reputation. She knows what she wants, and she goes after it. What she wants right now is Landon Boxer on her roster. With his agent soon reti

Having thoroughly enjoyed Delivery Girl, the author’s debut novel, I was definitely looking forward to seeing what she would be offering up next and I wasn’t disappointed. Boss Girl is a quick, easy and engaging read with just the right balance of humor, heart and drama and characters that will worm their way under your skin and into your heart.

If you read Delivery Girl (You don’t HAVE to, but you should), you’ve already met Jocelyn Jones and may not have the best view

Boss Girl by Lily Kate was a nice surprise. My first book by this author, we are taken on a journey of two people getting to know each other.

Jocelyn “Ice Queen” Jones may be the best agent in town, but not the most open. The last thing Landon Boxer needs is that complication in his life. But Jocelyn wants him, as an agent that is. Jocelyn is a workaholic that is dedicated to her job. But suddenly her life is turned upside down by Boxer and his daughter.

Boxer is a hockey player with an adorable

4 Ice Queen CROWNS

If you are looking for a light, low-angst romance, then look no further than Boss Girl by Lily Kate. Like her first standalone novel in the series, Boss Girl brings a sweet romance with enjoyable characters and a story-line that focuses on real and lasting love.

Boss Girl follows Jocelyn Jones, who readers met in the previous book. She is known in the agent world as the Ice Queen. When readers learn about her background, they finally understand w

Boss Girl is a lighter romance. No need for the tissues because you won't be ugly crying. The story is angst light. The humor, entertaining characters, and swoony love covers up most of the angst. You'll fall in love with Boxer, Jocelyn and most of all Charli. She's absolutely an adorable character, and way too smart/perceptive for her age. Overall you'll enjoy Boss Girl, however there's not as much humor as Delivery Girl..... Read The Rest Of My Review!

A little too similar to the previous in the series but overall a good read. That fourth star was for Landon (I'm sorry I cannot for the life of me call him Boxer and keep a straight face) because I loved him from the very first pages. It's hard to dislike a man who loves sprinkles, ice cream and his daughter as much as he does!

Boss Girl is the story of Jocelyn Jones, also known as the Ice Queen from Delivery Girl, and I'm not going to lie... I detested Jocelyn. She was cruel and was trying to tear apart Andi and Ryan. But, reading Boss Girl and getting in her head has made me change my mind! I adore her now! She's a little socially awkward and/or challenged, but her quirks will have you loving her more.

Incredible! Just Incredible indeed! I loved the first book in this series and then this one came along and captured my soul. I dont want to include any spoilers. However, I will say that this novel was so touching. When you have a spunky little girl included in a love story, how could it not. Charli really was an integrated part that brought this love story together. It's hard when a parent falls in love and you are so young and might fe

This was such a beautiful and sweet story about a hockey player and the agent who tries to sign him.
I was a little nervous when I started the book because I really didn’t like Jocelyn ( the ice queen and agent who tried to sign Ryan) from “Delivery girl”, but this book totally changed my mind about her.
Boxer is amazing and he is a single dad to a 6-year old girl who is his number one priority to his hockey career and his love life. Their relationship starts as a friendship which developed into m

This was my first book by author Lily Kate.. I understand there was a previous book that this one ties in with and I'll be sure to go back and check it out. I don't think it mattered I didn't read that one first though.

This is a sweet story about a hockey player, Landan, who is seeking a new agent while trying to be a great dad to his little girl. Jocelyn "the ice queen" is an agent..... this story was really sweet, and a few moments pulled at my heart s

I love sport romances but this book was so much more than that ❤️❤️
Jocelyn Jones is a ruthless agent who is at the top of her game. And she wants Landon Boxer to be her next client. Their professionalism relationship turns to friendship and then personal.
There is so much maturity in their relationship, so much honesty. They take it slow, their chemistry is undeniable and their foundation strong. They both grow as partners and I loved that. This was real!!!
Both these characters were so lovable a

No hockey romance.

It's a good story. Good characters. But this is not a sports romance. Hockey player is just a job in this book. There is none of the sport or player interaction that makes it a sports/hockey romance.

I absolutely adored Lily Kate’s debut novel “Delivery Girl” and I have been eagerly waiting her next book in the Minnesota Ice series. Well it’s been a bit of a hiatus but well worth the wait as “Boss Girl” does not disappoint. Boxer aka Danny/Landon is a hockey player on the market for new representation as his longtime agent and friend is due to retire. Sports Agent Jocelyn Jones wants him on her books. She’s all business, a workaholic has put friendships and life on the back burner in pursuit ...more

I am so happy to have found another author who writes romantic comedies! This one wasn't quite as funny as it's predecessor, Delivery Girl, but it was still really good and had some really funny moments!

I was a bit hesitant to read this story as it was about Jocelyn, a fairly prominent character from the first book. Her nick names included Ice Queen and Blonde B***ch, and in Delivery Girl, she was every inch, both those things. But Boxer, who was also in the first book, was the hero, an

When I first read this blurb I thought "Wow this sounds like something I would like" and now that I've read it, I can't get enough of it. I read it from cover to cover in one sitting and loved every juicy minute of it.

Jocelyn is a woman in a man's world and because of it she's had to appear stand offish. She may have an "Ice Queen" reputation, but she works hard and gives her all to her clients. Now she's after the catch of catches, Landon Boxer.

What happens when the woman with the toughest reputation in the business falls in love?
What if it’s with one of her potential clients?

Jocelyn Jones, aka the Ice Queen spends most of her days working. In her free time, she works some more and eats Lean Cuisine. Already in her late 20s, Jocelyn has spent most of her life working. Ahhhh the story of a hockey player and an "Ice Queen" agent trying to score the hottest new available client. Only this wasn't a simple sports romance. For me, this book was more about learning to love, trust and live again. Landon and Jocelyn were all about business. Doing business together was Jocelyn's #1 priority, forget the undeniable attraction between them. But Landon's approach to business was not something Jocelyn was ever used to. He needed to be friends with his business associates, t ...more
Fun and sexy sports romance between a hockey player single dad with a spitfire of a daughter and a feisty sports agent!

Boss Girl is a fun and sexy romance between a hockey player single dad and a feisty sports agent. With a mix of light-heartedness, a little tension, some heartfelt scenes, and a spitfire of a little girl, I really enjoyed this sports romance that didn’t have any typical or unnecessary drama. Jocelyn and Boxer put the sprinkles on top this HEA sundae! Jocelyn needs the win and she wants Boxer to be her newest client. He is not like her typical prospect though - he doesn't seem to care about what she can she can do for him but rather he wants an agent that is more friend than marketer. This is not her typical MO, she is known as the Ice Queen and sometimes other less favorable monakers. She cannot deny that Boxer is not like other clients - he seems to care about approximately three t ...more

Anyone that is called “The Ice Queen” would be someone you would probably not want much to do with, but Lily Kate does an excellent job of turning Jocelyn Jones around in Boss Girl. Ms. Kate not only makes Jocelyn a person you would want to know, she does it with panache.

We met Jocelyn in Ms. Kate’s debut novel, Delivery Girl, and she was not a very likeable person. She has a determined streak in her to be the best at what she does as a Sport Agent. To some people, this comes off as bitchy. She

I haven’t read the first book in this series, so I didn’t have the background story on the “Ice Queen” Jocelyn Jones, but I found that I didn’t need to have read the first book in order to love the second in the series!

Boxer is hands down, the best book boyfriend I’ve read in a while! He’s a strong, tough, seemingly brooding alpha male, but he’s really just a big teddy bear with a heart of gold and a weakness for sprinkles. :) He’s also a single dad who relishes in the opportunity to be a hands

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily writing an honest review.

What do you get when you put an 'ice queen' and a hot hockey stud together? A funny, romantic book! Jocelyn is a female in the 'man's world'. As a sports agent she has a reputation as being stand offish. As a reader I first met Jocelyn in Delivery Girl and admit I didn't really like her character. This book offers a look into why she works so hard and is the way she is.

I didn't think I could love any Lily Kate couple more than Andi and Ryan. I have 100% been proven wrong with Boss Girl and Jocelyn and Boxer.

We get small glimpses of both characters in Delivery Girl, but not enough to give away any of the plot for this book.

Jocelyn is driven, smart, and hard-working. She has had to be in order to make it in the male dominated world of being a sports agent. This has led to some calling her an Ice Queen, but almost from the get go you see there is so much more to

It didn’t take me long to realize there was a little bit of backstory that I was missing about Jocelyn from not having read Lily’s debut novel and the start of this series. It didn’t de-track from the overall story though, so I was still able to read it as a standalone.

I read Delivery Girl awhile ago and loved it! I don’t know why I never finished the series!! Boss Girl was the second book in Lily Kate’s Minnesota Ice Series but it can be read as a stand-alone. It was a fun, low angst, sweet story! I forgot I hated Jocelyn in Delivery Girl...but she completely redeemed herself!!
