If you're living against the clock, try not to do it in a cage.

Exiled from the city and from the affections of the vampire who had loved her, Emmy finds herself pushed into a captivity she never expected to experience. With the bond to her former protector broken, she knows that the chance to turn Silver is now a monstrous obligation rather than a glittering opportunity.

Emmy’s independent and rebellious ways have really done it this time. Unlike humans, the Silver do NOT think, act of feel in the same manner. They see a problem, they eliminate it or bring it to their side, one way or another. Wrongly accused of inciting and participating in an uprising when she and Oliver relied on a Silver to back them up, they are both exiled in the midst of the unprotected lands. Who knows how long Oliver will be punished and imprisoned, but of Emmy she knows her time has an ...more

Josie Jaffrey’s Solis Invicti series is incredibly addictive, but it is safe to say Bound in Silver is my favourite of the first three books. There is no doubt in my mind that the series is growing stronger and stronger, and I have every believe the final book will destroy me in the best of ways.

As with all the Josie Jaffrey books I have read, Bound in Silver packs a serious punch. A lot happens throughout the story, we are introduced to many twists and turns, and every page leaves you wanting m
I'm so glad this is a series that I waited for all the books before starting it. I can't imagine having to wait in between all those cliff hangers! Luckily I'm diving straight into the next book from here!

- Not gonna lie, I was a little nervous about this one. Our main character starts off being separated from most of the other characters she's been with up until this point. Normally that's something I hate seeing in books but lucky for us it was handled really well in this one! It's not long or

Oh bugger!

Until probably 70% through this book, it was going to be 4 stars from me. I was craving a relationship out of it that had pretty much disappeared and it was making me a little sad.

But bloody hell, that ending! Despite the fact its not the ship I'm craving, I didn't see it coming and it knocked me on my ass to say the least. I had every intention of picking a different book up before picking The Silver Bullet up, to have a bit of a break, but that's not going to happen now.

As always, J

Please read the first two books to understand this story, and the characters involved – This may be a spoiler if you haven’t read the first two books- previous reviews on my blog post:

Oliver/Ollie and Emmy are sent to spend time in a small one bed cell to serve their sentence for supposedly risking, and killing multiple humans and Silver ( not intentionally). This book follows on from The price of silver where Emmy is trying to save her friends captured b

Bound in Silver is another well written book in this series by Josie Jaffrey. She continues this series and finds a way to in my eyes so far makes this the most intriguing book to date. The plot takes an interesting turn and I find we are getting to the core of the story. There are some nice secrets that the author is still keeping from us and a few that are slowly revealed. I found that this part even though it was as long as the others, for some reason read faster than the others and I contrib ...more

Holy, flippin’ cliffhanger! This book, in my opinion, is the best of the three so far. I was totally engaged from page one. Shoot, I’ve been totally engaged from page one, book one! I might have cried, seriously, at the end if book four wasn’t already available.

Emmy is in a terrible mess. She has lost so much, so many friends. She’s caught in a world where the rules have changed. The one thing that hasn’t changed is her love and loyalty for her few remaining human friends. Her fear for her frien

Soooooo.......Book 3. I don't want to smack Emmy in this one. Thank goodness. Sometime while reading Bound in Silver I finally understood.

This is not a story about slavery vs. freedom. This is a story about being trapped. Every choice presented is owned by someone else. The humans (some of them) appear to have choices, but they really do not. Emmy may have realized this before me. It's a soul crushing idea and something I think most people can relate to. I spent a lot of time twisted in knots wh

Once again, let me start by saying that this is not a standalone novel.
This book, which is the third in the series, is the best by far. It is stripped down and more concentrated, with the pervading threat of the weepers always in the background. Although there appears to be less chance for action and drama, that background note keeps the reader on edge, even in the absence of anything more.

And the author has once again managed to sway my views about the characters. Previously I was rooting for

Recommends it for: everyone
this is the third book of the Solis Invicti series where you are expected to see zombies and vampires and love them!
in this book, Emmy is exiled with a fellow human into a far away building, far from the city, from her sol after a couple of tragic event that went down the day before. The bond is broken, Drew is not the same and alliances are shifting, nothing is stable, a war is coming and everyone knows it. what happened to lead to these events? where was Emmy taking? Who was with her? How did

Thoughts: OMG talk about a cliffhanger from hell!! Freaking AWESOME!!! This book was a little bit slower than the first 2 but no less addicting. I am LOVING the detail, it’s not over the top but only about 7 days have occurred during the whole book. But we read almost every second of every day that goes by while Emmy is awake. You can’t help but feel like you are li

This one built up momentum from the last that seemed to mostly be building more framework and held enough new action and adventure that it could hold its own as a standalone and was not only a supporting role in a series.

I will say though, Emilia, calm down girl. In the matter of two weeks we are introduced to four men she has been sexually active with. Get it girl. I do love strong willed characters and where the last book she came off a little repetitive and arrogant, she was tempered down and

Once again, I started this book earlier today and I’ve finished it already. I’m in love with Josie Jaffrey’s writing. It’s a perfect blend of action, drama, romance and twists that leave me shocked! I really enjoyed this book. It was a five star read and filled with everything I love about Josie Jaffrey’s world of vampires. The ending was sensational and I can not wait to read the last book!

Silver Continued

As the saga continues there is a lot of repetition. This story moved slow with a friendship developing between Emmy and Ollie. The writing is still interesting but the build up to the Casting took to long. I didn't like the speaking in Latin with no translation. The last couple of chapters confirmed my predictions. Frustrating at times but still a good read.

Likes: What can I say? This series has made me a fan girl! I love the world. I love the premise. I love the characters! Jaffrey has quickly become a must read author with the crazy world of the Solis Invicti. It is filled with heartache and surprises and an ending that will make you want to hurl the book across the room shouting “You ended it there????” (Or maybe that was just me.) I am rooting for both Sol and Drew eve

Original review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Josie Jaffrey!

Bound in Silver is the third book in the Solis Invicti series and continues the story of Emmy, Drew and Sol. Now that Emmy’s bond with Drew is broken, she doesn’t want to turn Silver anymore. She never really wanted to be Silver, but to be able to save Drew she decided to go for it. When you have a bond, it’s easier to turn Silver than Weeper, but now the bond is gone and she has a chan

I have always written stories, but it wasn't until I started the first book in the Solis Invicti series in 2014 that I really became obsessed with writing. I love to read, particularly where the escapism of the story is enhanced with an element of fantasy or science fiction. For me, writing is simply an extension of that journey, but I get to decide what happens next (though it's amazing how often ...more
