On The Rocks- A Ryan Kaine Number 2.

The action continues with Book 2 in the series, and starts straight on from the first.

The injured boy, Martin Princeton, provides the link to On the Run as the end of that novel saw Ryan Kaine pledging to redeem himself for the part he played in the shooting down of a plane which cost 83 lives. Martin’s brother was one of the victims and so Kaine feels duty bound to help him and consequently save his family from yet more heartache.

Martin Princeton lies alone a

Ryan Kaine: On the Rocks by Kerry J Donovan is the second book in the Ryan Kaine series and picks up where On the Run finished. Ideally it’s probably best to read the series in order but there are enough hints at the back story to make this novel work as a standalone. This is also helped by the fact that Kaine is on new territory with a new cast of characters.

Donovan builds the tension from the onset with the use of times and dates as chapter headings which emphasises the fast pace of the novel

Another action packed Ryan Kaine thriller that takes off where Ryan Kaine On the Run ends. Kerry Donovan's descriptions of the Scottish highlands makes you feel that you are there alongside Ryan as he attempts to rescue Martin Princeton. Along with the action, intrigue, and moments of romance, the reader gets to see the very human side of Ryan Kaine, and just how much shooting down the flight with 83 souls on board has affected him.

If you have read the first Ryan Kaine book, this one is a must

The first chapter of this book is like a punch to the gut. It made me breathless. This was one of those books that I didn't want to end but the suspense had me reading quickly to find out more. Ryan Kaine is torn with guilt over the part he played in the deaths of the passengers on the plane he shot down. When he hears that the teenager brother of one passengers is lost in the Scottish Highlands, he had to go to help find him.

This book featured lean, tight writing with the perfect amount of char

Suspense at its finest, Ryan Kaine is a character you will love and cheer for.
Ryan Kaine is on the run, and 'ON THE ROCKS' in this second book in this action-packed adventure series. This book was very difficult to put down; the suspense and intrigue kept me on the edge of my seat and where the charismatic Ryan Kaine has a choice to make, either continue to try to clear his name or to head for the Scottish highlands and use his skills to help find a missing teenager? The mysteries continue to un

Following on from book one – Ryan Kaine: On the Run – Ryan is making a mad dash up to Scotland to help in the search for sixteen year old Martin Princeton, whose brother was a passenger on the doomed civilian aircraft. The events that transpired in the first book continue to take a heavy toll on Ryan, the guilt he feels is overwhelming at times which is why he’s determined to do all he can to see Martin safe and back with his parents. Martin has gone missing during a school camping trip in the S ...more

I was completely mesmerized by Kerry Donovan’s first book in the Ryan Kaine series. It left me panting with the exertion of reading it, so of course I had to read the sequel. I hope this is a long series.
Ryan Kaine on the Rocks was slower paced (but only slightly) from the first book and is a more than worthy continuation, since it picks up where the first left off.
Kerry Donovan is in his element. He clearly knows the Highlands, where the book is set, and its people and has an intimate knowledg

Kerry stepped up the action, having a somewhat vindicated Ryan traveling to Scotland to rescue the younger brother of one of the fatalities from the airliner. On a school outing, he’s missing on a Scottish mountain. Ryan infiltrates a rescue team to lend his knowledge of the area and his skills. The team took him at his word, until the schoolteacher leading the outing recognizes Ryan.

With Ryan’s identity revealed, he escapes and works his way up the mountain. Climb with him as he scales steep cl

I'm quite a fan of Ryan Kaine. In this adventure he is in the hills of Scotland trying to find & save a 16 yr old school boy, which links in to the 1st novel, but this is still a stand alone book. I am looking forward to seeing where Kerry Donovan takes us next. ...more

Never stops

The action never stops. He pulled the trigger but it wasn’t supposed to happen like that. Now he’s running, stabbed, beaten, pursued by police and crooked, greedy CEOs!
Can’t wait to dive into the next challenge!
