Another Dreamspun Desires win!

Now, I know I might not overly gush when it comes to this series as a whole but I want to preface this that a 3.5 is a good rating for me. I know this type of fare is supposed to suspend belief somewhat, engage in possible drama, exaggerate the common tropes, all the while remaining an easy low angst read with hopefully a good dash of sexy. Rest assured that this pretty much fits the bill.

As the blurb says, Matthew is head of a multimillion dollar furnitu
Matthew and Jax were childhood best friends, as well as boyfriends, and Matthew thought they were always going to be together ... until Jax and his father disappeared one day when Matthew was 15. Twenty years later, Matthew is running the family business - a very successful high-end furniture and life-style company - but his love life is much less successful. That is, until he meets Jax again, now an accomplished artisan commissioned by Hart & Home to create a custom glass-etching for a clie ...more

Oh yeah! This is fluff done right and done so well within the Dreamspun line. This book is full of first loves and lost, second chance romance, great dialogue, an over the top story arc that had me glued to the page, a charming secondary cast, hot sex, romance out the wazoo and well, a hope for a second book with two men who lit up the page with their chemistry!

Second Chance romance with a little bit of everything.

There's some dirty talk and sexy, hot encounters. There's a bit of intrigue and suspense. There's some mystery surrounding attempted murder, a kidnapping, and all kinds of meddling family and friends, all of which results in some action.

Finding Mr. Wrong is from both Matthew and Jax's points of view, which does give the reader a better understanding of how sorry Jax is for the circumstances surrounding his original abandonment of Matthew and

Charlie Cochet is always a must-read for me so when I saw this book, I jumped on it. This is a standalone Contemporary, which is something that this author is different from what she is known for, so I was eager to try it.

This book definitely had a different feel to it. The character’s narration isn’t as upbeat or bouncy. Their personalities are a bit different from one another so I had to get used to that. I usually look forward to a lot of cute banter between the two main characters and whil

Well that was sweet...

Matthew Hart is the heir to Hart & Home Furniture he's had a good life raised by a loving and doting father after his mother passed away he grew up not wanting for material things or for love.

Jax Foster was Matthew's friend and his first love until he disappeared without a word one day without so much as a by your leave for Matthew. Matthew was heartbroken...Jax had been his world...his best friend, his first love, everything a young man of 15 could have ever thought

Anyone who follows my reviews knows that I love these Dreamspun Desires stories—they rarely disappoint, and this one is outstanding. I’m not sure if it was the vocalizations given by narrator Andrew McFerrin as I listened to the audio version, or if it was the character development sketched in by author Charlie Cochet, or if it was the theme of two young boys, separated as teens and now reunited but with huge obstacles still to overcome.

In any event, it’s definitely worth listening to (or readi

It’s equal parts terrifying and exhilarating for the match-e. Rambling a list of desirable traits and desires and hoping the match-er gets it right is risky. What are the chances of success? How many failed attempts before the winner walks into the sunset holding hands with their happily ever after? Let’s find out….

Matthew thought he was content with his life until a brush with death had him re-evaluating things. Although he’s tried to convince himself he’s ‘just fine’ with his bach

I haven’t read much from Charlie Cochet, and was very happy to get this charming second chance romance. Coming from vastly different backgrounds, Matthew and Jax’s characters fit quite well together, and enhanced by having both POV’s. Matthew is wealthy but down to earth, unpretentious, and loyal to his family and employees. Jay is a gifted artist but very insecure about both his ability to be part of Matthews life and future repercussions from his dad’s terrible gambling addiction. Unfortunatel ...more

I’m going to be very upfront here – I totally bounced off this book. When I hit page 30, I wanted to set it down and walk away. It happened again about page 60ish. I really don’t like a DNF, so I did some skimming, but it was a struggle to complete.

So what happened at page 30 that totally turned me off? We know Matthew Hart is an all-around Good Guy: he cares for his employees, he’s passionate about his work, he’s close to his family, and he wants someone to love and to love him back. After a n
The Novel Approach Reviews
Matthew Hart may seem to have it all as CEO of an incredibly high-end design business, but the reality is far from that. He is lonely, and with the shadow of his first lost love still hanging over him from his boyhood, it is increasingly difficult for him to find anyone to measure up to that boy he still bears a torch for from so long ago. But the reality is Jax broke his heart the day he up and disappeared, leaving Matthew to question if Jax ever truly felt anything for him at all.

Finding the right person to share your life with is not always easy – and in Matthew and Jax’s case it proves to be exceedingly difficult. Not because they simply haven’t met, but because there are a few obstacles in the way that prove to be extremely difficult to overcome. First is the fact that they have history between them that gets in the way of their feelings. Second, there is the fact that Matthew is super rich and sophisticated and Jax, while a talented artist, sees himself as useless an ...more

Well, this is definitely not THIRDS …

This story of Matthew and Jex is not what we’re used from Charlie. I was expecting more badasserie. Although these guys warmed my heart.

Matthew has everything he desires. A well running and famous business, a loving and supporting family and an assistant who would go through fire for him. Although something is missing and he’s confessing this to his assistant. He makes a list how Mr. Right should be, a Mr. Rig

I was given a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Little bit classic fairy tale, little bit daytime soap opera - this book plays with familiar romance tropes for an fun, exciting story.

Matthew is another implausibly young, successful and wealthy billionaire. Beset by scheming family members and supported by his loyal employees, Matthew sets out to find a husband and make an heir so his company doesn’t fall into the hands of his villainous cousin (yes - I did say this was a so

I think it's so tough to write second chance romances, because it has be done well. There has to be something that kept them apart, but that is not too much to overcome. In this case, I do think that aspect was done well. However, I didn't like the multiple storylines and Jax's father just didn't make me feel all that sympathetic. I loved the secondary characters, like Adam and Rai.

I really enjoyed this book. You have two boys who were best friends as kids, experimented, fell in love and where torn apart. This book had a little bit of angst and a lot of love. Matthew and Jax are from different walks of life but that has never been an issue with Matthew, he has always loved Jax. When they unexpectedly reconnect after several years you could tell that things were gonna start flying. Matthew's assistant Adam and Matthew's f

Finding Mr Wrong is a story about old lovers reunited by very persistent family and friends. The concept of the story was really nice, with Matthew being a successful business man and Jax an unknown artist, coming together through their work. I do have to warn you that this is a story purely meant for entertainment and/or comfort, because if you get into this story expecting an in depth reading, you’ll be disappointed. The plot is great, but it’s pretty unrealistic and cheesy. I also got the fee ...more

Despite of all cinderfella vibes that was obvious in this story (well, I grew up with Cinderella anyways), I really did enjoy this book. All the second chance really works for me.
Some of this story were a little bit 'too much'. Including what's Jax experienced as a kid because of something his father's idiotic behavior. Including Adam and Rai things (but, that was really cute. I know some people will despise it.LOL).

3.5, rounded up.

This story had a solid plotline, but suffered from a bit of overload with all the extra stuffing.

Twenty years ago, he thought himself in love with Jax Foster, but when Jax and his father disappeared overnight, Matthew was crushed and hasn't really had a serious relationship since. Finding Mr. Wrong starts off with Matthew having a near-death experience. He is the very successful owner of the family run firm Hart & Home. However, he isn't sure about his cousin, who is coming up with very strange ideas. Following his experience, he speaks to his best friend/PA, Adam, and they decide he is going to find Mr Right. They put down a few things, and then Adam wangles the story out of 'the one that got away'. It is obvious that Matthew has never got over this. Circumstances (a ...more

Matthew Hart runs his father’s company and is a millionaire. He doesn’t do relationships, but after nearly dying, he decides he needs to marry so the company will go to his spouse in the event he dies. Matthew’s assistant helps create a list of qualities needed to find the perfect husband. The problem is Matthew compares everyone man to his first love, Jax, the man he’s never been able to get over. Charlie Cochet has been one of my most favorite authors since the first time I picked up one of her books. Ever since then when a book by Charlie comes out I am quick to get it and read it because I know whatever is on the inside of that book, it is going to be simply amazing.

This book is no exception. It is a different pace from my favorite series by Charlie which is "The Thirds Series" but hat does not mean that it is no less good. This book may not be a shifter book but it is such an incredib

I absolutely loved this book! It is by far my favorite from the Dreamspun Desires series! Charlie is simply a delightful storyteller. The story is as sweet as it can get and in a really, really good way!

So Matthew. I loved him! He’s like the subdued version of Dex from the author’s THIRDS series (if you haven’t read this series, you should start now because you really don’t wanna miss out!) but he’s as lovable as Dex.

Charlie Cochet is a favorite of mine. She’s never let me down. Her books never fail to make me happy, so when Finding Mr. Wrong became available, I jumped on it. Once again, Cochet came through for me. I loved this story. It was sweet, with not much angst, but it also provided a whodunit and a race to rescue Matthew from danger.

I found Matthew and Jax to be charming, sweet, and sexy. I loved how they reacted to each other. Even when they met up for the first time

This is sort of a “Cinderfella” story about a guy who thinks he’s not worthy finding himself in a position to not only fall in love with the boss, but also save the company.

There’s a little bit of a “second chance” story here too, and some hurt/comfort as Matthew struggles with his father’s “legacy”.

While the writing was fine – Charlie is a gifted writer – the story left me fairly cold. I didn’t like how Jax saw himself or how long it took him to see himself as valuable.

It’s a quick and easy rea

Cute and sweet but really not the best from Charlie Cochet.
I am a huge fan of her Third Series and because of that I always will be checking every story she'll release

This one was definitely not in the "YOU HAVE TO READ THIS" category.
It's like one of those old Harlequin story: The rich guy with a heart of gold, the poor guy with a bruise self esteem. The bad guy not passing any IQ test and hot sex in between (That would be in the plus category...)
