Aimed at children, this is a very brief book (only 30 pages), but it does give a lot of information on various different type of fairground rides. There are illustrations and photographs and examples of each type of ride. There is also a fairly simple explanation of the science behind the ride, to show how the ride works. This book is one of a series looking at different engineering subjects. A very good introduction.

I think it provides a decent infographic introduction to how fairground rides work. It isn't super explanatory, but I did learn what hydraulics are and what a winch is and how some of my favorite rides work, so I think it is overall a decent book for children interested in the topic.
