But, Choc is hiding a secret that can either make or break Mello.
In this finale, everyone gets their definition of their happy ending. Sit back and get ready for part 5 to this amazing series!
Lord this series is dragging me through it lol. Everyone is crazy lol. I’m unsure how there is 2 more books after this. This seems like it should be the end.
I have read the majority of this series… mind you after I read Capone, Cappadona, and Capri. I loved every character there but this series is immature and all of the characters are unlikable. Thor and Milli are tolerable. Meanwhile at the end of book 4, his brother moved into Condo and this book they have money problems bc of the condo … sheesh
I really enjoyed this series. The realness of the characters is refreshing. I was really happy to see how Patsy would turn out. I'm glad she got her happiness back. Through all the ups and downs these characters found a way. The relationships really blossomed with some additions. It funny how life works even in stories. I like how Choc was, even glad she was find what she was looking for. The series over is a very details and a great read. I can't wait to read Kendel's story, she just full of trouble with the parts of the story she was in.
It was ok. I didn't like Michelle's attitude towards Thor in this book. I mean I know she was pregnant and everything but the way she acted was just horrible. Nice to see things work out for Kelsie and Millie though. I can not believe how things ended for Patsy. She sooo got the short end of the stick. Everyone got their happily ever after even Melo and she gets nothing, not even her dad came around. On a side note I could not stand his side story. Then to top it of Walt was a dud, he couldn't even be a friend or shoulder to cry on. Glad to see her standing on her own 2 feet learning to do for herself, but seeing her find herself then happiness with someone else would have been a lot better. Hope she geta a spin-off or something to get the ebding she deserves after all that crap she had to endure.
This was more like 3.5 stars for me. Having read her latest releases first, I'm so glad to see that JJ's writing and self-editing has vastly improved from this point.
These FMCs made bad decisions after bad decisions, like the blind leading the blind. Except for Patsy, they were all difficult to root for.
The MMCs didn't do anything for me either. Nothing about them stood out, and Mello was a whole mess.
Usually, I wouldn't leave a review like this, but reading this one showed how great of an author that Jahquel has become.
I loved that Kelsie & Michelle got they happy ever after but Mello gets to have a woman now,I really thought this book will be more about Pat founding a nice man but Walt turned out to be an ass too
This series was definitely an emotional roller coaster that had me glued to my Kindle. From start to finish, we saw the development and destruction of relationships.
I'll start with Michelle and Thor and say I'm glad they were able to get their happy ending. They both endured some difficult cards in life. Michelle with the domestic violence she unfortunately endured, and Thor with his mother's addiction. However, through friendship they found love and protection with one another. They were able to help one another grow in so many ways that developed an unbreakable bond. If it was anyone that deserved a happy life, it was definitely these two.
Kelsie and Milli definitely will have your head spinning with their back and forth. However, their relationship is a testament that when you communicate and be truthful with yourself and with the person your heart desires, a beautiful outcome can happen. I admired Kelsie's strength as a single mother and someone who fought to be there for her cousin through some of her darkest times. Her child's father and his family were terrible people, but she didn't let them deter her from being a great mother to her daughter, especially because she didn't have one herself. Due to past heartbreak, she was heavily guarded, and rightfully so, and that gave her and Milli a rocky start. Nonetheless, I'm glad they both were able to come to their senses and create a beautiful family. Milli always dealt with a lot being his mother's eldest son, and he was able to find a new meaning and happiness within his life.
Patsy deserves nothing but the best. The things she went through are not for the weak, from her upbringing to the betrayal she experienced in her marriage. Mello is one of the worst people ever, and I hope he continues to get doses of karma and lives a terrible life. His treatment towards Pasty, someone he claims he loves so much, irritated me so much. He deserves nothing but bad things in life. I'm getting upset just thinking about it.
I really wanted Kim to give Milli and Patsy a real, genuine apology when it came to being an enabler to Mello. Her refusing to hold him accountable in certain situations caused a lot of hurt to both Milli and Patsy.
Like Mello, Kenyetta is a terrible person, and I only wish bad for her. Kendal doesn't want good for herself, so to hell with her. Choc, I understood her reason for coming around, but her presence was pointless in the end.
Michelle and Shannon has found their happily ever after with the trails and tribulation.. Michelle has found her voice and her confidence back. I admire Michelle and her cousin Kelsie sisterhood and strong independent women who love hard. And also how both women have each other back good or bad right or wrong.I love how Shannon loves and cherish Michelle and treated her like the Queen she is .They loved each other and respect each opinions and struggles and living their lives. Also admire Kelisie and her struggles to be a good mother too her daughters and be a strong independent women. Kelisie has grown as a women and allows herself to be vulnerable and admit to being wrong and tell Milli how she feels. She also gained a sister who her mother giBrusonor a adoption. Michelle is a wife , mother, and cousin, a friend.and Kelisie mother was a very selfish person who doesn't want to take accountable for action and be a mother to her daughters and grand children. She was never their for her daughters she was out partying and not handling her responsibility as a mother I gather she doesn't want to be a mother. Patrica has grown and moved on with her life and is co- parenting with Mello raising her daughter. And taking another chance at love with Bruson. Mello had so many issues he has to get his priorities in order he has grown and still growing as a man. I'm glad Milli is trying to rebuild his relationship with his father. Hopefully Mello will find love again and take time for himself.
I would have been quite happy if this had ended with Book 4 of this series and in some ways, I think it might have been better if it had. However, I think this book deepens the exploration into the complexity of the characters- Milli and his need to fix his siblings having to navigate his sister Kendal’s spiral into being in the streets, Mello’s pathological need to sabotage every relationship he’s in because he can’t stop lashing out, Kelsie dealing with her relationship with her mother in light of finding out about having a secret younger sister (Choc), Kelsie’s and Patsy’s relationship traumas making their way into current relationships, and basically the opportunity to see all the characters we’ve come to know and love grow their families and navigate parenthood and mature relationships.
While I don’t think this was a necessary addition to the series, I do think it’s mandatory reading for all fans who cared about these characters enough to read the first four books… and who will now likely be checking out the spin-off book, Homies, Lovers and Wives.
Book 5 was a nice wrap up for the series. Thor and Michelle will always be my favorite couple. “They’s A Married Naw Y’all!!” Kelsie and Milli…well let’s say that Milli is my guy, but his woman Kelsie worked my nerves the whole series. Every book has that one chick that gets on your nerves and yes, Kelsie did that to me. Mello, well I’m glad he grew out of his F boy stage and started owning his mistakes and taking accountability for his actions. I thought that there was hope for the dude. Pasty, I’m so glad she got her a guy that really adores her. Patsy proved everybody wrong and she kick that nasty old habit of drinking and she bossed up for the sake of her mental and her daughter.
Overall I really enjoyed this series. The characters was believable and their situations was relatable. Nothing was forced and for some odd reason, I read through this series like it was a BET movie. That’s how good this series is…🗣️SOMEBODY GIVE MRS. JAHQUEL J. a movie deal asap.
The gang is back, and the twist are at an all-time high. There are new characters/siblings, revelations in therapy, Michelle's irrational outburst towards Thor while pregnant, Kelsie's pregnancy, and Kim's new/old love. Choc's character was very predictable to me overall. I'm hoping in the next book that she's more interesting. Patsy is just over all the drama. Her and Walt's relationship fizzles as he embraces his marriage again and she is slow to tell him that she just wants to be single for a while. She's just staying out of the way and taking care of herself. Mello gets a much-needed reality dose via Milla's fist and therapy. He needed both to be honest. Kendal seems to be trouble. I'm starting number 6 now. I really hope that Patsy finds real love, because Mello is garbage slime for what he's done.

Jahquel. Excellent series. This crew right here grew into great people. Milli turned into the best man. Shannon was always the best Mello maybe one day will get it together although, he really did grow. Michelle finally found herself and true love. Pasty was a beast! I loved her fight. Kelsie reminded me of my mom with teaching Miracle how to live without fear. Having C P myself I understand the challenges that some face. I just loved this series ❤️ 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
These series had me so caught up that nothing else mattered. The relationship between characters had me so invested. A part of me really wanted Patsy and Mello to work out their relationship, but based on the pain Mello caused, I knew there was just no repairing it. Michelle really touched my heart with her relationship with Thor, and for me, they were my favorite character. I must say this author has me so caught that I have been reading only her books for a month now. Wow !!!!
Great writing per usual. I never saw Mello with Choc. Karma took care of him. He should’ve sat her down and told her everything. I didn’t like Kelsie until the very end. She grew in some areas but clung to that horrible mindset the entirety of the series. Patsy and Michelle are warriors.
I liked Kim. She was bossy, loving ,and supportive. But she had blind spots when it came to Mello. She wanted to blame Kenyatta. Mello was responsible for all that heartache and destruction of his marriage. I'm glad him and Patsy came to an understanding. This was good series. Kendall was a hot mess.
Watching these characters develop was an amazing ride. Mellow drove me nuts the entire ride and I’m super happy for Patsy. Reading this book was like watching different types of love unfold multiple times. Thnx for the ride.. As always her books could be series !!
Truly enjoyed this series. It definitely took me through the highs and lows of friendships and relationships. Jahquel's writing abilities are so unique they allow you to experience the emotions of the characters. I strongly recommend this read.
This was a good series with a somewhat lackluster ending. I do feel like this was somewhat a one book too many situation because at some pointsome of the characters development was being reversed! I loved the conclusions though of the stories! This was a good friends who experience life book series though!
This was a phenomenal series. From the first book in this series to the very last, it was well written. The characters are fully developed. The storyline is wonderful. The author is extremely talented. I'm late reading this series, but I would highly recommend it. It's been my absolute pleasure reading this series and reading your books 🥰.
Just finished this series and OMG I loved all the characters besides Kendel lol shady ass..Just great book I been diving into all your book and I just say KEEP IT UP..I finished this series in 3days and I love reading and able to get visuals of what I’m reading Great Work
I love that Patt found peace & a good man!! I’m glad Mello got his head out of his behind & really decided to put the work in on himself & stop arguing with his BM!! I’m glad Milli cut that sister of his off!!!! I love how Thor loves Michelle and I want that kind of love in life!!!! BIG fan of this book!!
Allegedly, the final installment in this series. We get the bow on top of the gift in the lives of these characters. Two new ladies join the cast, Choc & Shanny. IMO, I could've did without this storyline, especially Shanny; but maybe this the segue to a spinoff.
We take the scenic route to get to HEA...destination finally arrived.
This series was so good I couldn’t wait to read each part. This author always delivers with her books. She’s one of my favorite author. I can’t wait to see what else she has for us to read. If you read this book you won’t be disappointed.
Was good but just got dragged out. All the women in the book are stupid, the men are too... Mello is dumb as hell, hopefully Choc stays away from these unstable people. Had a lot of hope for Patsy but she's dumb for doubling back..... just a mess
This was so good, the series in general. I think I found my new favorite author and I can’t wait to read more my her. I loved everyone’s ending even though in a sick way I was rooting for Mello and Patsy knowing in real life I would’ve been the same way.
I really enjoyed this series and how it shows there is hard time in a relationship. Then it shows that because we want thought similar things we don’t have to have the same outcome
Happy that everyone, well just about everyone got a satisfying conclusion. Some people learn, and some people have to prove that old saying - a hard head makes a soft @$$!
As this series came and went was like a rollercoaster, but each persons story in each book made you fall in love or hate with them. Everyone had a happily ever after in they only was.🔥💯🎯GREAT READ🔥💯🎯
This was a good series! It made you want more. All good things must come to an end. She stretched it out to a 6th book within the 5th book. It ended how it was supposed to end. Thanks Jahquel!
