I'm not into older man so the cover was definitely not what drew me in even though it’s beautiful lol! I like the idea of claiming virginity as payment haha!
For an older man (40s), Jackson is pretty sexy. I like how he had presence and was commanding. However, I wish I saw more of his suggested "brutality" when it comes to both business and pleasure.
I like Megan because she wasn't that young and wasn't annoying like some innocent virgin characters can be. She knew enough of her body and what she wanted.
Jackson and Megan had good chemistry together. The sex was plenty and hot so I was happy in that aspect haha!
Bought and Paid For is a story of two people finding love from unexpected situation. It would appeal to readers looking for a sexy quick read.

What do you know! A rare 5-Star cover rating from a picky OCD yours truly. I love everything about this one. An excellent representation of the hero. Fabulous composition. Bright and eye-catching title work. Great job.
What can I say about this one? It was smokin' hot. It was well written (small issue aside -- see side note). The pace was great. There was no OW/OM drama. No angst. Both characters were likable. The hero is a couple of decades older than the heroine, and he hasn't been with an OW since the moment he saw her three years prior. The heroine was 21 and a virgin. All wrapped up in a couple of super sweet epilogues. Two thumbs up from yours truly.
On a side note, there were a couple of continuity errors in this one. First, he flips her on her belly. Then a few pages later she is apparently on her back, and he is telling her to flip over and present her ass. Secondly, he strips off his clothes and then a few pages later, strips again.

It was a nice story. I loved it! Just a feel-good one with no angst and I loved the epilogues!
The story is about Jackson and Megan.
Her father owed him a debt. He had nothing to offer and Jackson took her as payment. She thought he's only keeping her for a week but he'll never let her go.
It has two lovely epilogues.

December 27, 2023DNF at 45%. Just more high cringe smut. My tolerance for the ridiculous is just too low for this. Maybe I’m picky, but I need some plot with my smut. This is written by two authors, but neither can write a complex sentence or seems to own a thesaurus. Maybe they need to find a third collaborator who understands grammar. Nope.

I loved this! It was hot and sexy. I love the older man/younger woman trope as well. Absolutely no cheating or ow/om drama whatsoever. She was a virgin and he was celibate since he first saw her 3 YEARS prior!

Bought it on a whim when it came out.
It got that Alexa Riley vibe, which I find beyond ridiculous. I barely finished and skimmed most of the book.
First, I’d train her body and make it crave what only I could give her, and finally I would bind her to me by planting my child inside of her. Every night I was haunted by the picture of her stomach stretched tight and my child growing inside of her.
Two authors for this?
It didn't work for me....

Great collaboration between Jordan Marie and Jenika Snow! Alpha male, Jackson and sweet Megan had great chemistry making this one awesome, steamy read!

I really like the author but this book didn't work for me.

Megan's dad owed Jackson money and he couldn't pay. He offered up the only collateral he had -- his daughter. And Jackson couldn't be happier because he's been lusting after the young virgin for too long. So off Megan goes with him, thinking she only has to be there for one week, but both of them know the truth... she'll never be going back to the life she once knew.

This is the first - but hopefully not the last - collaboration between Jordan Marie and Jenika Snow. I'm a huge fan of Jordan Marie's, and I devour Jenika Snow's smutty novellas like they're M&Ms. The two of them together proved to be a fantastic pairing. The transitions between the authors were seamless, and their writing styles meshed very well together.
Bought and Paid For is a very quick and sexy read, but it is not at all lacking in character and plot development. I love a good story about an over-the-top, protective, alpha male doing whatever, and I do mean whatever, it takes to get the virgin of his dreams. Is this type of story realistic? No, absolutely not, but a well-written, seductive, escapism read like Bought and Paid For is a great way to end the day.

Sometimes you find yourself in a certain mood where nothing but an OTT ridiculous alpha-hole will do. When I find myself in this mood, I usually hunt up a book by Alexa Riley, Jordan Silver or even Fiona Davenport. I seem to have stumbled upon another book to reach for when the feeling strikes me, and that is the OTT sweet but crazyness of Bought and Paid For.
While reading this, I did find myself asking the question, “Would it be so hard for these guys to just ask the poor girl out rather than coming up with these diabolical, manipulative, stalkerish schemes?” but then that wouldn’t make for much of a book would it?
Jackson King came off as an alpha-hole of epic proportions at first but then it became clear that underneath it all was a sweet and caring man, head over heels for the vision in white he’d fallen for.
Megan was the typical young and clueless virgin often found in these books. I did like that she wasn’t all giggly nonsense and even attempted to show she had a backbone.
There wasn’t a lot of substance here, which in my mood was a definite plus. This was short, sweet and OTT fun.

Great read if you like...quick reads, hot scenes, insta love, and an HEA.
Side Note: I have read both Jordan and Jenika's work and they are both great for something hot, dirty, and satisfying. This was no exception. This short read was just what I needed to get my morning started and request an ice coffee rather than a hot one, lol. I liked he was an older alpha male. I believe that helped explain why his character did certain things and behaved certain ways. I'm also glad it wasn't drama filled so much as sex filled. I would def recommend this anyone looking for a short and naughty read.

Short and quick read.
Jackson saw Megan three years ago in a gala and she was 18 at that time and he was two decades older than her. Megan's father wanted to talk business with Jackson, and initially Jackson wasn't interested in investing because he knows the guy don't have a knack for running any business. But Jackson saw Megan and found out she was the daughter and then decided to orchestrate his plan by getting her starting with supporting her father's business.
Three years later, Megan's father wasn't able to pay his loan to Jackson and everything fell into place with his plan. Jackson took Megan as a collateral and promised to take her only for a week, but that's not really what he wanted to do. He wanted her to be with him forever considering this plan is three years in the making.
He pulled all the stops to show her how they're so good together. I think it also helps that Megan is also attracted to him, so there's no push and pull because they gave in quickly. They fell in love, got their HEA, and there are two extended epilogues to show a glimpse of their lives together.
Overall, this was a fast read. There's no plot, but I still dig it 😂
