Although much of the information is now out of date as it was published in 88 (I had a tally of 26 specifically), it was current for the time and you can tell the author has a great passion for proper guinea pig care and breeding. While I don’t agree with guinea pig breeding as a hobby, it was cool to learn about the different breed and colour standards. The pictures were also clear and varied (and showcased some very adorable cavies duh)
One of numerous books I had in the 1990s back when I was kept by guinea pigs. (Sadly, I cannot have them now due to my dogs.) This book was unremarkable and failed to leave any impression in my sieve of a memory. Since the publication date is 1979, the information is out of date.
