As a missionary working on the support raising process, this book was relatable. It also was extremely thought provoking. There were some things that Scott said that I could tell worked for him, and some things that I know would not work for others. In my experience, for example, trying to get thousands of dollars, even as a one-time gift, is rare. Now, he has been a missionary for much longer than I. He also grew up in a different time period and had different connections than I did.
What I appreciated about it all was that Scott always brought it back to the Lord and to what the Bible clearly said, using specific references when appropriate. Especially as a book talking about raising money for Christian missions, the focus on the foundation of biblical truths was encouraging to see.

This book, and Scott Morton, are so helpful in addressing attitudes towards fundraising (ie. the fact that most of us "hate asking for money") and the practical steps to do successful fundraising. My wife and I will be undertaking a fundraising "campaign" this year, and I am SO glad this book was given to me before we started! I was already suggesting it to other missionaries before I was even finished with it. Every missionary (and church planter) needs this book!

The book gives practical advise on the challenge of fund raising for ministry work. I recommend the book to those who are active in such fund raising. In addition to providing practical steps for fund raising efforts, I believe the book will also address the psychological challenges that fund raisers must overcome if they are to be successful. www.thewrightauthor.com

Practical and Useful
I cam across this book when we were about 2/3rds of the way through fundraising. I wish I had come across it much sooner. I’ve recommended to everyone I talk to about fundraising.

Such a clear cut, no frills/gimmicks guide to biblically based support raising. Chock full of resources, and updated with modern and multi cultural references

Very practical with good biblical principles. Although too much priority it given to independent methodology without submission to the authority of the sending church.

Great resource!
