This Vengeance Demon boxset contains the first two full-length novels and the first two short stories in the series. All four stories are wonderful reads, all important to the overall story. I know some people feel a bit unsure about short stories and often skip them (I’ve been guilty of this myself on many occasions), but with the Vengeance Demon series the short stories are wonderful. Through this boxset, you’re getting all the wonderful things the Vengeance Demon world has to offer.
The Vengeance Demon series is a great addition to the new adult urban fantasy world. It’s an interesting take on demons, with many other supernatural creatures involved in the story to keep you guessing where things will go next. Filled with great characters and a wonderful storyline, this series will keep you gripped throughout. As soon as you finish one story, you’ll be diving into the next read, curious as to what will come next.
It is, without a doubt, one of the most addictive series I have read in a long time. It is very much deserving of a big following, and you should certainly jump on the Vengeance Demon bandwagon.

This was a great boxed set. Each book could be read as a stand alone, but there is a continuing thread in the story. I loved that it was a fantasy, but lots of realism and humor. Lots of great dialog as well as plot. The heroine actually thinks of strategy several times throughout the stories when trying to figure things out. So often a Hero or heroine in a story just trips along and “poof” solves the mystery without even having to think. The writing was very flowing with a strong heroine although she was a bit judgmental for a while with Pete/Gregory, which I thought was out of character for her from he rest of the stories. Action packed with plenty of twists and turns, which kept me engaged to the very end. Lots of creativity and detail with both the settings and characters. Two books are full length and two are shorter stories. The one short story with the primary character Serafina seemed written a little different, maybe because there was less action, more of her background, but it still was very good and interesting. I like how all were not the same. I voluntarily reviewed an arc from the author.

I really enjoy reading and it’s fun to reread books. Currently I’m reading The Vengeance Demon series by Louisa Lo.

I loved all of these books and am sharing my reviews for each of them:
Book 0:
Lady Serafina knew she was different than everyone around her, especially since her magic never came into being….at least the right type. Now her birthday is fast approaching, and the parents who never seemed to care about her one way or another is throwing a huge celebration while still ignoring her. And her best friend Prince Eldon has been acting weird since he had his birthday. Things come to a head, and Serafina finds out exactly how different she is. After this book, I know that Ms. Lo has a new fan! This is the second book I have read by her, Vengeance Be Mine the first, and I really enjoy the wonderful way she writes, how well she writes, and how well the characters come to life. In addition to that, the book was full of action, suspense, and plot. In some ways, I almost wish I had read this one first, just so I had a better handle on Serafina’s character, but I don’t really have any regrets. If you like light, well-written urban fantasy, give this book and series a try. Highly recommend! Thanks to the author for the e-book which I reviewed voluntarily.
Book 1:
Megan is a half-trickster/half vengeance demon. However, she just wants to be a vengeance demon even though she isn’t much liked by anyone in the field. When her vengeance demon schooling is at a point where she gets an assignment, things go really wrong because this isn’t just a case of easy vengeance; there are plots afoot that will spell disaster. Can she get anyone to believe her before it’s too late? What a treat this book was! At first, in the beginning, I wasn’t sure I was going to like this book as it seemed like not much was happening in the book. However, the action didn’t take long to start happening, and happen it did! This book was fun, full of action, and very well-written. I actually really liked the characters, both main and secondary, and I found the premise interesting and unique. I can’t wait to learn more about everyone in this book. And, while there was very little romance in the book, I see some in the future. If you like fun, light-hearted urban fantasy, pick up this book; you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend! Between her studies, Megan is awoken by a phone call from her mother for an emergency family vacation. Megan knows something is up and quickly gets to the bottom of it. But while on vacation, something happens to threaten the vengeance and trickster demons, and she needs to find out who started it. This was a fast, fun, and quirky interlude to the Vengeance Demons series. It may have been short, but it was jam-packed with plot. And, oh, my, I didn’t see the perpetrator coming! If you love this series, you’ll love this short story. If you haven’t started this series, do so from the beginning to really enjoy the end. Highly recommend! Thanks to the author for the e-book which I reviewed voluntarily.

Megan is doing her second co-op when Gregory shows up to call-in his favor, and things go from calm and collected to an all-out war. And this time, Megan can’t go it alone; she’ll need the help of most of her family, even her trickster brothers. But her enemies are hiding in plain sight and are a lot more power than she could have even imagined, and she may have bitten off more than she can chew. This series is fast becoming one of my favorites. It has the perfect blend of action, humor, suspense, great plot, and a tiny bit of romance that I really like in my urban fantasy. This installment exhibits all of those traits and more. In this one, I really liked the two POVs: one from Megan and one from Serafina. They have both really grown from the beginning even though not much time has elapsed from the start of the first one, probably because so much has happened. I wish that we could have seen her grandmother more, but I’m hopeful for the future. Also, I really liked that we saw other kinds of supernatural creatures; the scene at the beginning was so great! I like how most of the characters associated with Megan came together to help her, and I hope we see even more of that in the future. It’s so fun to see Megan and friends grow. I cannot wait for more! Highly recommend! Thanks to the author for the e-book which I reviewed voluntarily.

Vengeance be Mine by Louisa Lo
Meg is half vengeance demon and half trickster. That has caused her a lot of grief and discrimination among the demon community. Even her own extended family have made her feel as though she is inferior. But Meg is determined to get through vengeance university and begin her career. She hits a lot of bumps along the way and the worst of which is her half sister’s kidnapping. Now Meg has to save her sister and manage to not get herself killed.
I really enjoyed this book! I wasn’t sure what to expect since I had never heard of this author, but this story was exciting and engaging! I liked Meg and Esme. Her journey through the story was sad at times, infuriating at others, and happy at times. I was pleasantly surprised by the pace and originality of the story. It was fun to read. I give Vengeance is Mine 4 stars and definitely recommend this book!

I love how this story gives a bit more insight to the vengeance demon world. And I really love how it leaves an opening for the next book! If you read Vengeance be Mine then this is a great story to accompany that first look into the world of vengeance demons. I give Before Vengeance 4 stars!

Megan is about to spend a quiet 3 day weekend studying. That is until her mom calls at 4am and asks her to join her family on an impromptu family vacation. Now she’s in Hawaii and trying to find the trickster behind a world changing prank. There’s no rest for a vengeance demon.
This was a good little insight in the Aquitas family. Half trickster and half vengeance demon. They are an odd bunch.
This story leaves you eager for more story of Megan and her crazy family! 4 stars

Megan is facing yet another crisis. She’s got a changeling prince and every creature on the vengeance plane wants to claim him to exact their own vengeance on the changeling people. Now Megan is trying to keep the prince safe while trying to find a way to get this exiled prince back home. Her tasks are heavy, but she has made some friends that will come in handy in helping.
I love love love finding indie authors that turn out to be gems! Loiusa Lo is one of those gems! Her vengeance series is full of action, suspense, mystery, and even a little romance. This series is fantastic!
A Good Vengenace gets 5 stars from Paranormal Tendencies!

Vengeance Be Mine
The main character does not fit in, because she is a half breed (her mother is a trickster, and her father is a vengeance demon). Talk about inner conflict! She gets in trouble at school, gets placed on suspension and then the real fun begins. Learning to rely on herself, both halves of herself, and her family is the only way to beat these obstacles.
A well-written tale with complex character development. The story line takes a bit to get the hang of...because it is fantasy, and the reader must enter Ms. Lo's created reality to truly grasp this tale. The plot has numerous twists and turns.
Overall Opinion: A fun read, with a uplifting backstory.

What happens when the Day of Contemplation (sacred day for Vengeance Demons) and the Tricksters' holiday celebrating trickery fall on the same day? Did someone answer, family vacation! That is what this family does...an impromptu weekend get away. As the family gathers for this trip, a serious prank is pulled. Who did it? Why was it done? Will they get away with it?
Overall: A short, fun read!

First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review. Also this is my first time with this author and hopefully not my last.
Wow!! What a gr8 story and start to a series. In book 1, Vengeance Be Mine, we meet Megan a hybrid, which is a mixed demon, half vengeance demon & half trickster. It's kind of like being a split personality of half conservative and stiff & half fun-loving crazy. She wants to have a life that's worthwhile, so she's leaning toward her vengeance side & hiding away her trickster side, and attends a vengeance demon college where she’s bullied a lot. The only vengeance demons that like her are her father & half-sister, who are both full vengeance demons. Her grandmother & extended family from her father's side despise & shun her along with most of demon society. On her mother's side, the tricksters, they love her, her four half-brothers & extended family along with most trickster demons. She makes a friend with another outcast vengeance demon, Serefina, who was raised by changelings. This story is about an evil sect, the Greys, trying to return the demons to the way they were by releasing Absolute Good & Absolute Evil, and it's not good.

They have to save Prince Eldon & the changeling dimension, as well as stop the Grey's from taking over & freeing the Absolutes again. They work together with Esme, {her vengeance sister}, Fir, {her trickster brother}, Gregory, the Off-blacks, and a couple of new people to the story. I can't wait to read the next book. Wow!! What a gr8 story and start to a series. In book 1, Vengeance Be Mine, we meet Megan a hybrid, which is a mixed demon, half vengeance demon & half trickster. It's kind of like being a split personality of half conservative and stiff & half fun-loving crazy. She wants to have a life that's worthwhile, so she's leaning toward her vengeance side & hiding away her trickster side, and attends a vengeance demon college where she’s bullied a lot. The only vengeance demons that like her are her father & half-sister, who are both full vengeance demons. Her grandmother & extended family from her father's side despise & shun her along with most of demon society. On her mother's side, the tricksters, they love her, her four half-brothers & extended family along with most trickster demons. She makes a friend with another outcast vengeance demon, Serefina, who was raised by changelings. This story is about an evil sect, the Greys, trying to return the demons to the way they were by releasing Absolute Good & Absolute Evil, and it's not good.

Vengeance Be Mine: I really really liked it! Megan is a strong girl/woman. She is unique! But also complex. She has to figure out how to live her strange life and how to balance both sides of her: being a trickster and being a vengeance demon. And vengeance can be fun! That whole karma thing, yeah! I LOVED that! But it can also be dangerous… Oh, you’ll have to read it for yourself. No spoilers here. Good urban fantasy. I found it very original, funny at times and I will absolutely read more books written by this author!

A fun and fantastical ride!
Megan is a unique young woman, the first of her kind being that her mother and father are of two different races. Her mother is a trickster - a boisterous, good-hearted and fun group of people who have little love for rules and enjoy chaos. Her father is a an arch vengeance demon - a race of believers in law, order, logic and pride. Megan's desire is to live up to the expectations of the Vengeance Demons by completing her university education and taking her next steps into adulthood by becoming a licensed Vengeance Demon herself. This proves to be quite challenging as she endures ridicule from her peers and a diminished sense of self-worth from some of her own family members for being a "half breed".
The scenes are well-constructed and the descriptions of the different universes/planes of existence are well thought-out and described quickly. The story lines are full of twists and turns, some expected, and some not.
This set is beautifully crafted and ingeniously captivating throughout. The books are fast-paced and oozing with wit and humor.

What an amazing book! There were so many twist, turns and emotions involved with this that I could not put it down. This was definitely a different type of paranormal book and it was extremely entertaining.

Right and wrong - the journey can be hazardous
Absolutely terrific set! Being a half breed vengeance demon is hard. However being hunted to open an ancient portal to release prisoners imprisoned eons ago is even harder. Watch as our heroine grows in strength and character to fight for the good of all. The characters in the set are rich and vibrant and the story itself is fast paced and engrossing. A true fantasy epic that will have you cheering for the underdog and wanting to learn more about her journey. Demons, changelings, humans and various other races are all mixed in this terrific tale. The only criticism I have is that Before Vengeance should have been the first book in this box set. Recommended

One of the best series i've ever read , this is Buffy the Vampire slayer dialogue in book form , Megan has the misfortune to be half demon vengeance demon & half trickster , not really fitting in with either side of the different communities & often wondering if shes really fits in with her family . These books follow her uni to finding love ,making friends & making enemies . These books are mysterious , keep you guessing but with a sarcastic humorous undertone that will have you laughing out loud in parts so be careful where you read them or like me you could get strange looks . can't recommend these books enough .

Well ... what can I say about these books? Perhaps I should start by saying that I read all four books in this boxset, in just over a week! That in itself speaks volumes.
I loved, loved, loved ... did I mention how much I loved ... the series. What a fresh idea, written so well and Louisa kept me riveted, I couldn't read fast enough .....
She had me believing that there could be something like vengeance demons and all the other players in the book.
There was a touch of romance, plenty suspense and totally believable characters.
If you are looking to read something new and fresh, this will keep you entertained long after you should be putting the lights out and going to sleep!!

I love this series. We meet Megan who is trying to find her place in the Vengeance world. Ride along as she meets many friends and enemies and even more trouble. These books are refreshing because they introduce you to many paranormal creatures. You be in for a wild ride with each and every book. When I read the last page I am always anxious to get to reading Ms. Lo's next book. Each and every story and character brings so much to these great paranormal reads. If you want laughter, tricksters, angst, turmoil and suspense then you need to read these books.

1) Original and well thought out, with good characters. The storyline was a bit weak, but overall I enjoyed it. 4 stars.
0) A good novella. I enjoyed the insight into other cultures and Seraphina’s past. 4 stars.
2) The second novella was entertaining. I enjoyed seeing more of her parents.
3) Book 3 was very good. I liked the order of events and going back to threads from the other books. And there was some romantic action! 4.5 star read.

I received a free book in exchange for an honest review. You get two full novels and two novelettes. I really enjoyed this series. Love the puns and the similarities between each plane, human, demon and changeling. It would be great to be a vengeance demon and right wrongs. You get to know each of the characters and you are rooting for Megan and Gregory. I love the twist and turns in these stories, you never know who is good and who is bad. There is always a surprise in the end. The best surprise was at the end of Vengeance Unclaimed. I would recommend this to everyone.

This is very much a YA series, but I am older and have still been able to FULLY enjoy them. The style of writing pulls you the reader in and keeps you reading all day. I had trouble putting them down once I picked them up. This series follows the characters through one trial after another. Misfits finding their own way in the worlds they live in. Multiple planes, demons, friendship and so much more. I highly recommend this series!

These stories takes many twists and turns which is just one of many things I liked about them. They are definitely not “formula” books or in any way predictable yet still a fun read for anyone who loves Urban Fantasy books like the Kate Daniels series or World of the Lupi books. I can definitely see this series being as long running as them because the world building really lends it self to a lot of possibilities.

Louisa does an excellent job of writing a fun new type of story. I am amazed by this box set! Each new addition to the series expanded upon the world and made me feel even more excited than the last. The magic system and fantasy world is very well explained. I cannot wait to read further on in this series! I'd say if you're a fan of paranormal fantasies, especially ones with demons, then this is a book series for you!

My only "criticism" is that in the beginning of the first book, I felt that perhaps my current reading preference leans towards more mature protagonists. Other than that, a great premise with an interesting storyline.

This is a really good series to read. I enjoyed reading everyone one of the books in this series. All of the 3 books in this series are all great reads. If you love paranormal reads then this series is one you should check out it has demons and trickster among other paranormal creatures.
