A great counting and language primer that teaches some basic conversations in English, French, Japanese, Mandarin and Spanish. The sound feature is helpful to ensure well-meaning adults don't mispronounce any of the trickier words. It's also interesting to observe some of the similarities in the languages and discuss etymology.

A fun interactive book for kids interested in other cultures. There are 5 languages: English, Mandarin, Spanish, French, Japanese in this book. Each page lists the first five numbers and there is an interactive panel that you can press and a child will say the numbers in the language of the page.

It was clear and well spoken. It's a simple thing, only five numbers and a few phrases, but it's a great start into a new language. One could see if something resonates with them.

My kid who just started learning writing Chinese is very confused by the Chinese characters of one to five are shown on the Japanese page. I get that they are also used in Japan but if they are going to be shown on a single page - where would you put them? In addition, the image of five identically dressed girls riding bikes is too outdated for a book published in the 21st century.
