A very colorful and well-illustrated book that not only children will get to enjoy, but young adults and much older readers will also get to appreciate this. The information may not be new information for older readers, but reading this is like reminding us that sometimes we should exert some effort to find some happiness. Once in a while, we experience a little gloom in our lives, but we can reverse it if only we wanted to. And this cute and short-read book might help us to find that joy we are ...more

I saw the synopsis above and didn't read anything else about this book then wondered why when I started reading it told me to have a supervising adult when using scissors....I hadn't realised it was aimed at children.

Switching my mental gears I started again. It's a lovely book packed full of ideas on things that can make you happier and be kinder to each other and ourselves. The exercises looked really fun. And you know what even as an adult there's always time for happiness through play

Really bad. The kind of book where the message, the presentation and the writing style just doesn't seem to address the same public. We find ourself with a book, that pretend to be a kids books, while bringing a subject that younger kids doesn't bother themselves with. We present it with a very childish design and we write it small, a bit too theoretical and an harder to read style. So it look like a children book, while talking to teen with a subject that bother mostly the adults. It sad becaus ...more

4 stars.

I was surprised by this. It was a really fun book! Aimed at kids but also still enjoyable for teenagers, this fun crafty activity book is full of ways to help you be happy and it's also about kindness. It's been well done and I would definitely give it to others to take a peak at.

This is a wonderful book for children. It helps them learn what makes them happy. It has small facts tacked throughout. Plus exercises such as carrying bags, write a note to someone, volunteer, and give back to others and the community. A lovely book to help keep and find happiness.

This is a wonderful book for teachers looking for activities to supplement character education in their classrooms, as well as for parents who want to help instill gratitude and kindness in their children. The design is lovely and eye-catching. I brought this into the principal of the elementary school where I work; she promptly ordered a copy for the school and suggested that I show it to several specific teachers who would find it immediately helpful. I’m excited to utilize it at work and at h ...more

This wonderfully designed book is a self-help starter guide for kids and I loved it! The organization of information and challenges was done in a unique way that both children and adults can enjoy. I'm beyond happy this exists for a much younger generation and think it's a great tool for parents to utilize too.

Thank you to the publishers who provided me with an ARC of this book through NetGalley!

This is a beneficial book for kids from 8+ to develop self awareness and mindfulness habits early on. The book is easily relatable and gives prompts on 10 areas of happiness such as being kind to others and practicing gratitude. Loved the book and would highly recommend it as a gift!

Aimed at children, this book is full of activities and information to help children look at how they are feeling and thinking in a different way. It also suggests at the beginning of the book to have a notebook at hand to write down what they discover on their investigation through these activities, I’ve learnt recently if I get overloaded sometimes it’s a good idea to write in a book to get it out of my head. This is a good idea for children or for adults to as it frees up our minds when things ...more

This little gem of a book is based on the GREAT DREAM model of Happiness championed by the Action for Happiness charity and the book's writers. The books is divided into chapters following the GREAT DREAM with activities and exercises that can help to open up conversations and discussions around each of the keys, all found to be evidence based and well researched in terms of enhancing wellbeing and resilience. As such, it is equally applicable to the school library shelf and book corner in the c ...more

I was invited to review this book on the occasion of International Happiness Day. Thank you!

This activity guide is filled with 50 activities your child can perform in order to be more self-aware, grateful and happy. The activities range from healthy eating, exercising, understanding emotions, making social connections, etc. Some of the games can also act as icebreakers for the kids during their birthday parties and other social activities. As a 19yo, I also felt that some of the activities were

Did not know this small British book was geared toward kids until I turned the first page. It’s heavy on the arts and crafts, heavy as in tons. And if you aren’t sick of hearing about mindfulness yet, it pops up here too. Yep, they’re trying to teach that to children now, and not just mindfulness while eating or going for a walk, but to the point of feeling the toothpaste as you brush your teeth. I feel like it’s too early to get kids to think that way; let them be kids for a while! And that doe ...more

I got attracted by the cover at first sight, and was later attracted by the graphics and page design as well --- almost every kid loves fun and colorful books. I love the ideas, and most activities are pretty creative and practical. Definitely a good way to teach kids about finding happiness :)

I'm not entirely convinced by this book. Aimed at children aged 8+ and prettily designed, I'm sure some would enjoy the activities it describes - especially those who enjoy arts and crafts projects. However, one of the problems I see is that its always assumed that all children DO enjoy arts and crafts......and they don't. Aside from this, the book has two main aspects. Firstly, kindness and empathy, turning focus outwards and feeling better by helping others. Then gratitude and mindfulness, whi ...more

I was expecting something more simple since this was for children. However, it had a lot of good ideas and examples on how to carry out each idea. Kids will enjoy it.
