The illustrations in this book are FABULOUS. just fabulous. Facts are presented in a good way for... I dunno, say 8-14? Maybe even a wider range, I don't hang out with a lot of kids.

Genuinely peak science communication

This book, while cute and informative, is out of date. It does have some very good information about the composition of comets and the way their orbits work. I would love to use some of the scaling information (for example: the basketball "sun" and the golf ball "planets") to turn into a math lesson on ratios and scaling. I would likely use more accurate and recent books on outer space and comets before this one, however.

This is an interesting science book full of jokes and fun pictures to help teach students all about comets. The planets of the solar system are mentioned in order also. This is a great astronomy book.

This was interesting to read since I was in kindergarten when Halley's comet was last seen. It's a cute read and is good to show students that science is ever changing since it lists Pluto as a planet. This would be appropriate for a 2nd to 5th grade class to use as a resource for science.
