Charles C. Ryrie
153 books61 followersCharles Caldwell Ryrie (born 1925) was a Christian writer and theologian. He graduated from Haverford College (B.A.), Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M., Th.D.) and the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (Ph.D.). For many years he served as professor of systematic theology and dean of doctoral studies at Dallas Theological Seminary and as president and professor at Philadelphia College of Bible, now Philadelphia Biblical University. He was a premillennial dispensationalist, though irenic in his approach. He was also the editor of the popular Ryrie Study Bible.

My first eschatology book that I have read. Ryrie is obviously slanted towards Dispensationalism in this book. (He started Dispensationalism.) It does give a brief overview of the different eschatological viewpoints. It is a short book that might be a good book for understanding the Dispensationalist viewpoint on eschatology.
Eschatology is currently not that important to me and currently do not agree with the Author's viewpoint on eschatology. Pre-mill pre-trib. So only 3 stars.
