My First Yoga ABC is a board book for infants to help them learn not only the alphabet, but some simple yoga poses as well. Each page has block letters of the alphabet, with a corresponding yoga pose. For instance, Aa is for Airplane posture. Young children will delight in practicing yoga while reciting their ABCs!

About the author

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy from the publisher. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

My First Yoga ABC is a fantastic book for toddlers that teaches yoga poses and ABCs at the same time. Each letter in the alphabet shows a pose and the illustrations make it easy to see exactly how the pose should be done.

This is a beautifully illustrated book that makes learning yoga poses simple. The sturdy pages will make it easy for toddlers to handle and easy to view as the yoga poses are practiced. I plan on getting copies of this book for my grandchildren!

Very good for children but also for beginners
Good book to discover a simple practice of yoga even for me who is an adult and neophyte. The poses are simple, doable by all and the illustrations allow a good understanding of the positions of the arms, body and hands.
For the little ones, the link with the alphabet makes it possible to memorize sequences.
Perhaps there is a lack of information on how long the poses are held.

I received this book through an ARC group that I belong to, and am really glad I chose it. The format is really not childish and is appro for all ages -

I, personally, am always on the hunt for age appro subject matter for my adult traumatic brain injured son, who can not read but loves art. He uses Audible quite a lot, but loves books such as this one. The subject matter is really supportive, and the art is fabulous!

The sturdy book is wonderful for little ones' hands, and the poses follow the alphabet, which makes young toddlers excited to learn. My First Yoga ABC is a beautifully illustrated, colorful introduction to yoga for children. My little ones really enjoyed the artwork as well as trying out all of the poses. We will definitely be picking up a hard copy of this to add to our physical library as well.

This board book is a favorite in our house. Each chunky page features a different letter, pose and imaginative illustration. Toddlers can learn their ABCs, while getting a foundation of some basic yoga.

This is a good way to get pre-school aged children to try out Yoga poses by copying the children in the illustration that go from A-Z and are wonderfully illustrated

Thoughtfully Engaging.

My First Yoga: ABC by Teresa Anne Power & Kathleen Rietz is straight forward and engaging. The e-book edition from Amazon's Kindle Unlimited is where I found the book again to reread and give my thoughts. First, the cover is eye-catching, vivid, and the title says it all, to what you are getting into before reading it. Something I appreciate in my reading life now. I count myself apart of those readers who enjoy reading children's stories, particularly ones with something that will stay with them through life. I feel that with or without intending to the author and illustrator team have created a (first book), that might just be handed down generation to generation. The pastel-looking artwork is STUNNING and the companion word with each letter of the alphabet is, in my opinion, thoughtfully chosen and placed for every child's understanding. I would highly recommend My First Yoga: ABC to have in your Home Library.
