Michaela Riley Karr grew up in Olathe, Kansas and completed her Master's in English in 2017 at Emporia State University. She now lives in rural Emporia, Kansas with her husband, Olin, on a goat ranch. She has been writing for as long as she can remember, and began her debut novel, THE ALLYEN, at the age of 12.
