A chapter book series about four pegasus friends learning to use their magical powers. The Defense Techniques teacher tests the girls on their survival skills, leaving them in the Forest of Colors overnight. They use a manual she has left them to build shelter and cook dinner. Electra wanders from the group in the night and gets lost, sending the rest of the Melowies on a mission to find her. They split up and use different skills to pass the test. Upon returning to Destino they learn that the missing Melowy was all part of the test of frienship. They all passed with flying colors, even with their rival Melowy Eris trying to foil their plans.

{My thoughts} – I am really beginning to fall in love with this series. In this book the Melowies are sent into the forest to attempt a challenge of survival. They are tested on their ability to work together, their ability to Get along, and their ability to put others before themselves.

This book was a fast and enjoyable read. I think that any child that enjoys things like my little pony will enjoy this book series. I personally look forward to reading the next book in the series and continuing to learn more about the Castle of Destiny.

Good,but short

It was really good but it was a little to short for my tastes.
Eris is evil but she hasn't done anything really bad, yet
I like Cleo but please travel what her powers are
Selene is very sweet and I think she is amazing
Electra and Cora are opposites but BFFs and I like that
Maya is really quiet but I love her and think she is awesome

Eh? Still ok. Weird thinking about horses building things without thumbs... or playing drums...
And there's a big feeling of 'she's bad because!' again, it's fine, just frustrating.
It is what it is and Miss 7 loves it
