Junior Agent Eric Reynolds’ sole assignment is to locate the elusive hacker, Finn Powers, and to protect him from the ISIS terrorist who’s already beheaded Finn’s friends. There’s only one problem. The frightened civilian won’t stay put. Eric chases him from Amsterdam to England, then onto Ireland, before he finally makes first contact. The moment they meet, Eric senses an eerie connection, as if he’s met this troublemaking genius before. In a dream? Or a nightmare…
Finn isn’t a man at all. He’s Eric’s ex-wife, a.k.a. Shea Powers Reynolds, disguised beneath layers of a fat suit. In a dizzying fall from grace after the death of their only child, she’s been running scared and off the grid for two long, hard years. The day Shea witnessed her friend’s murders she knew she was next. There’s only one man who can save her now—Eric. If he’ll still have her…
Growing up in the countryside of Wisconsin, I always wanted to be a writer. I've dabbled in poetry, short stories, and more daydreaming than most. Way back when, I remember long Sunday afternoon drives with my parents where they'd tell us eight kids to, 'Look out the window and see something!'
I've been looking out the window ever since . . .
In the great Northwest pines, I saw a woman who had nowhere to run find refuge in the arms of a tender warrior seeking his own road to healing. In the hills of Wyoming, I saw a broken man who thought he'd lost everything rediscover the man he was in the eyes of a pretty girl. And in the Dairy State, (yes Wisconsin), I saw two people fall in love and overcome horrific obstacles on their way to happily-ever-after.
Life is short. Pick up a good book. Read. Write. Enjoy. Look out the window and see something!
Eric Reynolds had met his match. Shea Powers was his beautiful, ex-wife who left after losing their daughter under tragic circumstances. It just about gutted him. Left him with nothing. The TEAM saved him.
Eric and Jordan were junior agents. Not that they hadn’t seen action they had, just not as much as the others. The TEAM an elite covert group of surveillance operators. Their assignment: Find Finn Powers, his buddy and bring them and their research project back, alive and in one piece. Or face Mothers displeasure. Resident Techie, Mother, saved their bacon time and again. She and her “friends”. Seems Finn was one of Mothers “friends”.
Eric and Jordan were sent off as the briefing ends. No two assignments were alike. Every one was distinct, dangerous, with lots of unknowns. Eric could not help his churning gut. He hated flying and he was again in a plane. Carlson was the reason. A Cyber techno dude who wanted World Domination. Sounds about right. But why was Eric all tied up in knots. Something was not right. And Why did Finn ask for me? Whoah!
Irish Winters has pulled out all the stops. A suspense, filled, black-ops adventure with more turns then a road course! “Eric”, has you wondering what the heck just happened, where did they come from? And who are these guys really? Add to this alpha males, alpha females, mix thoroughly and combustion occurs! The lovely ladies don’t disappoint but they have a take no prisoner’s attitude. Wimps need not apply!
So pull up a chair, get a drink, get comfortable, and open Eric. Soon you will be immersed not wanting to put it down till THE END!
I was given an ARC but the Review is freely my own!
Ireland? Hackers? Masquerade ball? Yes, yes, and yes! A thrill ride from the very beginning Eric chases Finn, the client, through Europe. Finn is running from a murderer and he has an important discovery to protect. However, Finn is not exactly who Eric thinks he is. The rush from the excitement will take a bit to get over, but eventually my heart rate will calm. Through the guns and bombs there is a serious part to this story that touched my heart involving three dirty pigs and broken hearts. This series has many books, each a separate story with different agents and romantic angle. Start anywhere in the series and you will enjoy it. I received an early copy from the author and have voluntarily written my review.
OMG what an intense book!! Eric goes on a mission alone and just doesn't have a warm fuzzy about it to start off with. Come read this story and let's go on a mission with Eric and bounce all over Europe and just see if his instincts are correct! It really is intense but there is some good humor too. You won't be sorry!
Action. Horror. Evil enemies. New and old friends. Loyalty. Traitors. And that's just the first chapter. This wonderful story tells the tale of love tested and lost and possibly found again. This series is about heroes, men willing to go through pain and test of strength to protect or deal with the good and the bad. They are strong but can be tender. Eric lost his sweet little daughter, then the woman he adored when she couldn't deal with their loss. While she deserted, he took on the evil in the world. When that evil encroached in his world of former soldiers teamed to protect and serve in their own way, he was put on the case. Why? Because the victim asked for him. He and a teammate were to travel to Europe to bring the man and the dangerous invention home. Only the man was really his wife in a deep-cover disguise.
Their reunion is filled with questions and so much danger. Who are these men after his woman? Why? Most of all, will they live long enough to find out? Shea goes from geeky gross nerd to fem fetal tempting the vilest of men to help her husband rescue her. Love and sorrow, are simply the beginning of this emotional mission through Ireland. They will find some time to ignite the old flame of passion. Don't worry, there is plenty of steam.
A book to keep the pages turning, a few laughs, a fae cat, and characters you will love and otherS you will hate. The men are alpha strong as are the women. Each has a gentler side, they aren't afraid to be afraid, yet they push that aside when necessary. I loved it and couldn't stop until I read the last word. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
Romance, suspense and some unexpected twists make for another enjoyable story from Ms Winters. This book will keep you guessing throughout, which makes it an absolute page turner. I always enjoy Irish Winters’ writing style and haven't been at all disappointed with any of her stories. Eric will steal your heart and you will root for Shea as she struggles to figure out who is responsible for the deaths of her friends as well as staying far enough ahead of a killer anxious to catch her! This book was an exciting roller coaster ride and I definitely recommend this one. I received this book for an honest review.
WOW!! Absolutely on the edge of your seat thriller! Loved the bond between Eric and Shea. Awesome story of renewed love all mixed in with crazy wild heart stopping adventure. Can't wait for the next In the Company of Snipers book!
Eric Reynolds' newest assignment is to locate a hacker and protect him. His friends have already been killed by terrorists and is running scared. After chasing this elusive dork over half of Europe he finally catches up and has the strangest feeling that he has met this person before. And is shocked when the truth surfaces for hidden under a horrible fat suit and piles of make-up is a woman he loved and lost.
Shea Powers Reynolds, aka Finn Powers, is Eric's ex-wife. She has been running scared for two years but after seeing the horrible murder of her young friends she knows only one person who can help her. The man she left behind when she couldn't face the past and future and she only hopes he will help her.
ERIC is book 15 of author Irish Winters “In the Company of Snipers” and all I can say is hold onto your hearts because aside from the bombs, guns and action this is a bit of a tear jerker. Shea and Eric have a sad past and you will find yourself feeling for them. It takes a bit of work to get everything out in the open but this author has the perfect touch in making a second chance moment realistic. I enjoyed seeing Shea's true hacking ability, I loved how she was able to get into the bad guys accounts and ruin him while he sat there. Good touch when an author lets her readers enjoy those moments with the hero and heroine.
This series is amazing, with characters that you like, love, feel for and in a few cases ... really dislike. The action will get your heart racing, but it is the emotional touches that will keep you reading. I can't wait for more from Ms. Winters.
The heroine is scared out of her…umm….his pants. She didn’t expect any of this to happen, but she needed help and knew her hacker friend Mother could help even if she didn’t know who she was truly helping. She trusted her because her ex-husband trusted Mother otherwise why would he work with her and trust her with his life? There are so many people following her, she only trusted the hero because he was always her, and their daughter’s hero.
Our hero is sent out to find a hacker and to bring him back to the US no matter what. What he doesn’t expect is to be chasing the guy from Amsterdam to England to Ireland. What can he expect when he saw two of his friends beheaded right in front of his eyes?
The plot was a good one, but I don’t think the costume would be good enough for others to not know who she was dressed up. With facial recognition it would be almost impossible. Anyhow, if you take this out of the ways of thinking, then you really didn’t want to put the book down. Then when the hero’s friend helps the entire group out, then things get really interesting. I did like how the author gave you a bit of life after they return to the US which was good. It was also good to catch up with one of the other team members you don’t really get to know until the one Christmas book, but in this one you get to know him and a bit about his family too.
This is the 15th from this series and know there’s got to be a stop to the books in the series sometimes…right?
"Sit room now!" When Alex Stewart bellows out those words at team headquarters, you know you're in for another exciting story. From Amsterdam to England and on to Ireland, Eric is assigned to track down and protect the elusive hacker, Finn Powers. And what a surprise he gets when he finally finds his man. A page turning thriller that is reminiscent of James Bond. Motorcycle chases in Ireland, down narrow lanes and through fields of sheep and across stone fences escaping the pursuer by hiding in a bog. Add to the mix kidnappings car chases, houses being blown up, terrorists, and a billionaire who is seeking world domination. There is also a very hot romance as Eric reconnects with his wife who disappeared two years earlier. I had tears as they shared the demons from their past and her reason for leaving.
Irish Winters never ceases to amaze me with her wonderful storytelling. ERIC, In the Company of Snipers Book 15 is a "can't put it down 'til I finish" book full of twists, turns, suspense and hot romance.
I have received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review

This series is amazing, with characters that you like, love, feel for and in a few cases ... really dislike. The action will get your heart racing. Just like all of The talented author Irish Winters books 5 stars are not enough! They capture you from the first word and you can't put it down until you've read the whole book!! I highly recommend reading this amazing story and can't wait to read more from this talented author!
Eric a rough and tough ex-marine medic working for Alex Stewart’s “Team” who was singled out specifically to save a civilian, Finn Powers. Powers was a hacker who was being chased by ISIS terrorists. Eric chased Finn all over Europe until he catches up with the overweight Finn in Ireland. Eric senses something strange about Finn and cannot figure out if he somehow knows him.
Shea, Eric’s ex-wife who ran away after the death of their child and hadn’t been heard from or seen in over two years meets up with Eric in Ireland and everything goes south quickly. Full of richly developed characters with many twists and turns.
I highly recommend this page turner full of danger, mystery, steam and passion by Irish Winters.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing this without compensation.
Irish finally takes us on a journey that ends up wonderful fae-filled Ireland. After a beautiful, fairytale beginning, Eric and Shea suffer a loss of epic proportions. After some devastating time apart, Eric unknowingly rescues the love of his life. What happens afterwards is a tale of intrigue, deceit, and ultimately love like no other.
I really am never disappointed by anything Irish writes. And I certainly won't be looking at the Three Little Pigs the same ever again!
This review was gladly given in exchange for an advanced copy.
This is freakin' good! Eric has lost his wife a couple of years back. When he is sent on a mission he finds her again. And that's when you're thinking "the end, happy HEA" and all that. NO! there is soooo much more. The story hasn't even scratched the surface.
Mini spoilers -There are bunches of bad guys, hot sex, car chases, gun fire, a hostage situation, hot sex, and then a HEA. I really enjoyed that we got to see the depth of character in both Eric and Shea. Their inner thoughts reveal more than could ever been spoken.
Warning that there could be a trigger issue reading this regarding the loss of a child. I think the emotions of the issue were handled with honesty and dignity.
Yet another page-turner from the talented Irish Winters. This is my favorite one in the series so far, with so many twists you won't be able to put it down. Eric and Shea are two complex and wonderful characters, their history is filled with joy and sorrow, but you can't pick sides. This is a must read, whether you've read the series or not!
This was the most intriguing, plot twisting book of the series!! Just when your sure you have the villain figured out another one comes into play!! Just like all of Irish Winters books 5 stars are not enough! They capture you from the first word and you can't put it down until you've read the whole book!!
Eric's story took me on an emotional roller coaster. I cried several times while reading this sad, yet triumphant story. I gave this book 5 stars because Ms. Winters weaved a story that trapped me in its web. I was emotionally invested in Eric and Shea.
Read this book - you won't regret it. Have some tissues handy though.
I loved Eric and Shea’s story The intrigue, the suspense, the action and the drama. Yet another In the Company of Snipers book that is a MUST read These 2 are up the top of my favourite characters/couples list for this series. Just brilliant. Do yourself a favour and add this one to your collection!
I liked this 15th book in Irish Winters Snipers series. It was a bit different than the other stories in that only Murphy appeared and Alex and Mother were mentioned in the side.
There was plenty of action and the pace of the story was good.
I highly recommend this book and recommend that you read the books in order to get the maximum enjoyment.
Alex is sending Eric and Jordan to Amsterdam to rescue Finn Powers. Just in and out easy peasy. It's not the type of job Eric usually handles but they only have 48 hours and the client requested Eric. Eric doesn't know a Finn but you don't tell Alex no. Another great story so many twists and turns you need to hang on tight.
This book was amazing. Just loved Eric Reynolds. He has no clue what he's up against when he goes to Amerstdam. He and his partner need to find Finn. What he finds is a whole lot more..
Irish is absolutely amazing!! Her books keep you on the edge of the seat the whole time and it is no different for Eric and Shea. this book will have you laughing, crying (alot) and wanting to high five Shea. You do not want to miss this book at all.
This book is only second best to Alex, Irish Winters ' first book! And then it only squeaks out second place in front of some the other excellent stories in this series.
Each book is getting better. I don't know how she does it, I just hope she keeps doing it. I don't like to give spoilers but I couldn't put the book down. That's what I have found reading each one.
Eric is the fifteenth amazing book written by author Irish Winters from the series In the Company of Snipers. Each of these books are a winner. I highly recommend the.
