As an avid reader, there are few things as pleasing as discovering a new talent.
At the time of writing this review, there has been only 10 ratings for this book.
I can't even begin to tell you how I discovered it in the first place. My brain tends to make some very random connections at times and I do find myself in lonely territory from time to time. The blurb got my attention immediately and the price was low, so I took a chance.

‘Psychopathic tendencies just ready made to tickle the taste buds’
If you like a really good, dark, story about a crazy madman then this adventure is certainly for you as, through a series of journal entries, we hear of Jeremy and his sorry tale, a once ‘bullied’ crazy madman who is hell-bent on getting vengeance.
A cleverly constructed chiller thriller with lots of great action, containing scenes
that are quite simply just good enough to die for. Although the story begins with relatively familia ...more

A smooth, easy, quick (haha!) read from John Quick. The Journal of Jeremy Todd is a novel narrated by a madman who seeks revenge for a life of torment. This novel is told via a series of journal entries and largely works well. The writing style is very easy to digest and though it takes a little while for this particular broth to come to the boil, the payoff at the end was gruesomely good. I read this quickly and enjoyed my time inside the mind of this American psycho and have no hesitation in r

Unnerving Magazine Review
The Journal of Jeremy Todd has a real what-if-Carrie-White-was-a-dude-and-didn’t-destroy-the-town kind of feel to it. Jeremy Todd lacks the mental tools fitted to Carrie White, but the vibe is similar: tormented, terrified, a school celebration impending, and told it a somewhat unconventional mold, complete with reports and notes.
The diary looks back while simultaneously looking to the current as Mr. Todd begins to unravel further from his already harried existence. The ...more

This was an excellent book from John Quick. It's a crazy story and the horror scenes brought back memories of his debut, Consequences. My review is here https://wp.me/p5t5Tf-1Od

I read this one based on another review and it didn’t steer me wrong. This was a good read, and the journal style really worked. The peek inside of the mind of someone who believes he’s thinking clearly but is doing some pretty horrible things was well done. His slide into more and more depravity happened gradually as I imagine it can. There’s some pretty brutal stuff here so be warned.
But if you;]’re open to that it’s a very good read.

If you ask his wife, John Quick is compelled to tell stories because he’s full of baloney. He prefers to think he simply has an affinity for things that are strange, disturbing, and terrifying. As proof, he will explain how he suffered Consequences, transcribed The Journal of Jeremy Todd, and regaled the tale of Mudcat. He lives in Middle Tennessee with his aforementioned long-suffering wife, two
