This series is going to destroy my emotional state so badly, I don't know if I can handle any more trauma than this fsdlkflKFfaf

Another story in the Magical Girl Raising Project series, but this one, it's not limited (haha get it limited) to just isolated death games anymore, but the threads of fate and storylines are all slowly starting to come together... It's kind of weird to say too, especially for this kind of series, but the amount of worldbuilding that goes into the Land of Magic is off the rails. It only delved into it a little before, mostly as an excuse for all of the different magical girls, but this volume dives a lot deeper into the administrative side and is actually beginning to feel cohesive as a story. I really appreciate that attention to detail.

The more devastating part is the ease with which Endou creates and just as quickly uncreates characters. There are characters I don't even LIKE and yet the way their story is told, and the way all of the characters reach their fates still catch me off guard sometimes. And how do they come up with so many different abilities, and then figure out ways to make interesting interactions with all of them as well?? Their creativity astonishes me to no end. Thanks to this, I won't be getting tired of this anytime soon...

And one more thing, but one of the things that impresses me the most actually (I should have put this first but TOO LATE NOW) is the way narration is done in this series. I find it hard to pick favorite characters, but that's thanks to the incredible air of distrust Endou is able to make with such little room. It feels like you're always on the lookout for ulterior motives or possible threats, so much so you don't even trust some of the main characters themselves. And that's an edge of mystery that even other deathmatch-style novels lack.

oh wait i do have really likable character, Tepsekemei, but you'd see WHY

Warning: frustrated spoilers-loaded rant ahead

please destroy my mind more thanks

So far the Limited arc (book 5 & 6) are by far and away the best to come from this series. The prior book was so much setup I was wondering if the author had lost heart for the destruction and character death that defines this series. however, this book proved itself a suspense and horror filled rollercoaster end ride after the slow burn buildup.
At this point i deeply applaud how masterfully we were drawn into the characters and then had our hearts ripped to pieces.
In this book more than other prior in the series i found myself “figuring out” how scenes were going to go down, and expecting the various crosses more, but the villain reveal and a lot of the losses still caught me unawares.

I look forward to gasping and crying my way though the next book too.

Also all the tie backs in the epilogue were huge treat.

This volume finishes up the Limited arc as the three groups of characters come together and finally start to understand who's on whose side. Allegiances shift, showdowns occur, and powers are used in genuinely creative ways as the magical girls try to solve the assassin problem before the barrier goes down, because there's a new problem - if the assassin and the criminals aren't brought to justice in time, the Magical Kingdom may nuke the city.

This volume had a very solid plot that upped the stakes considerably, even as the characters begin to get their bearings as to the situation. Although I wasn't super attached to the characters in the first Limited volume, I came to like many of them here (), and there are some fun twists that tie this arc in with earlier books in the series. As usual, the translation is somewhat simple and clunky, with some sentences obviously grammaticaly incorrect or repetitive, and the book probably could have used another edit.

Now that this arc is done, I'm looking forward to the next. The series continues to introduce worldbuilding and connections between characters with every volume, and each new installment makes the world of Raising Project feel fuller and more interesting.

I keep having to remind myself not to get attached to any character, there is a good chance I won't see them again. I do love the political backstory of the Magic Kingdom being just as bad as the government.

4.5 Tan cruel como el primer arc porque logre empatizar con la mayoría de las chicas mágicas... no merecían terminar así 😭

PERFECTT! I loved the fact that Snow was part of Restarted and Ripple was part of Limited! Again, Endou does it and we feel regret and pain, although at first we can't really distinguish the characters due to the mass transformation, but it's still a great read! Loved it <3
