First Aleks’ mom loses the car keys, which he finds in the fridge, and then Christoffer forgets how to get to Aleks’ house. On the surface it doesn’t seem so bad, but events become more disturbing as the day progresses. Something strange is happening in Norway, and Aleks Mickelsen is the only one who can stop it. Too bad for us, the last thing he wants is another adventure ...more

Aleks Mickelsen and the Twice-Lost Fairy Well is the fourth book in the Zaria Fierce series but the first told from someone other than Zaria’s perspective. After having thoroughly enjoyed the first three books, I was looking forward to pick this up and see what adventures were in store next for these characters.

While this does build on events that happened in prior books, it takes place some three years later. Not only does this serve as a nice break between the separate story arcs and points of

I really enjoyed reading the first three books in Gillett's Zaria Fierce series and was excited to see that the adventures weren't over for Zaria and her friends Geirr, Filip, Aleks, and Christoffer. Although this fourth book features Aleks in the title, The Twice Lost Fairy Well still includes all of the children I've come to know and love adventuring across the Norwegian countryside once again. There's just something so comforting about returning to Zaria

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and all opinions expressed herein are my own.

This is the fourth book in the Zaria Fierce series but it is the first book to focus on Aleks. While Zaria is a part of the story, the book takes place several years after the first three books which focused on Zaria's adventure. So, in that sense, you can certainly start here with the series. There are several references to the prior Zaria adventure but the author does provide a quic

I'm always amazed at this author's ability to spin tales that are so full of adventure and excitement. Once again you get to visit the magical lands of the Zaria Fierce Trilogy. I love the idea of moving from the viewpoint of one character to another, bringing a whole new perspective on everything. This book jumps right into the action, and I read it all in one sitting. The descriptions of characters and the setting make you feel like you're in the story. I love all of the mythical creatures and ...more

So good to be back with the gang again!! This is book 4 of the series but focuses more on Aleks rather than Zaria. Alek wants to be normal, he wants to be human, he wants normal ears, but being like that will come at a cost for him! He will lose his ability to never get lost, he is willing to do that now, but when Alek's sister shows up and looks for their help, he might realise that he is more necessary than he originally thought.

You don't realise how much you miss things till they are gone, a

Hi Fiercelings!

I'm sure you're all thinking, "Keira, why did you decide to switch the main character from Zaria to Aleks? Isn't this the Zaria Fierce Series?"

It is and I did! The whole gang is back though, so all your favorites are on the adventure.

As to why I did it, Aleks' character arc was something I wanted to explore. I knew there was a story to tell in Niffleheim, which is another reason why Aleks had to take the lead for the next three books and the next dragon.

I prefer breaking up the s
