Samantha Harris has spent her entire life hiding. Hiding from her family. Hiding from her gifts. But now everything has changed and it's about time she takes control of her life once and for all.
Detective Derek Pierce upholds the law. Right, wrong. It's always been simple. But death has a way of changing a person. As he learns what his resurrection truly means, the only thing keeping him sane is the constant presence of Sam in his life.
Except all that is complicated when an old enemy comes back in the picture. And the price of peace might be more than either Sam or Derek are willing to pay...
Mallory Crowe has lived in Michigan her whole life and has been in love with romance ever since she'd skip to the end of every novel, just to make sure the hero and heroine survived and ended up together. She lives with her husband and three dogs. When she's not writing, she's spending too much time in front of the TV, hiking, or working with various animal rescues.
I've been thoroughly gripped by this series right from the start & can't believe it's over!! 😔 Hopefully Ms Crowe will consider novellas & a spin-off in the future!!
This book is fast paced, gripping & thrilling from start to finish. Sam & Derek stay strong & true to each other throughout & trust their core group of friends & allies wholeheartedly!! The Darkness, inside of Sam's Mum Abbey, is as ruthless in its pursuit of Claire's demise as ever!!
The only reason I haven't given this book 5 stars is I felt some areas were left unanswered, What did Derek promise? What's going to happen with Angela & Dante? Why was Claire affecting Derek? Etc Of course these & other questions may well get answered if there's a spin-off in which case leaving them unanswered was definitely the right call. Lol
A wonderfully written book & series that is full of heart, friendship, magic & evil. Ms Crowe took a different direction with this series & I for one thought it was a massive success for her!! She seems to write as fluidly & naturally in this genre as she does in Contemporary Romance!! I highly recommend reading this series, it's a rollercoaster ride 😃

REVIEW: RAISE HELL is the fifth installment in Mallory Crowe’s contemporary, adult THE BEWITCHING HOUR serialized paranormal, romance series focusing on Detective Derek Pierce, and reluctant witch Samantha Harris. RAISE HELL should not be read as a stand alone as there is a continuing premise and plot throughout, and picks up immediately after the events of book four-A Little Wicked.
NOTE: If you have not read the previous installments there may be some spoilers in my review.
Told from several third person perspectives including Samantha and Derek, RAISE HELL is the continuing story of reluctant witch and supernatural royalty Samantha Harris, and Detective Derek Pierce- a man who is no longer wholly human. With Derek’s recent flirtation with the ‘darkness and death’ our hero’s return to the realm of the living brings together the intrepid group of ‘ghost busting’ friends whose search for the lost journals of Samantha’s recently deceased grandmother Abigail Harris finds the ragtag band in over their heads where the darkness is concerned. Claire Smith returns as a powerful beacon to the ‘darkness’; Dante’s ability to mind read pushes the boundaries of friendship and privacy; and Detective Angela Parker, with her awareness of the supernatural finds herself in some unusual circumstances.
RAISE HELL focuses on the search for knowledge; for information regarding their ever increasing powers; the ‘darkness’ that wants something in return; and a ghost town where spirits both past and present cause chaos and havoc for Samantha and her friends. The premise is entertaining and intriguing; the characters are colorful, dynamic and charismatic; the romance continues to build throughout the series.
This book was the final of this series about Sam and Derek and so much about putting together both their worlds.
It was thrilling, suspenseful, it kept me glued to each word and I wanted to read more and more and more!
Sam and Derek were so amazing together, they were so strong even with so many insecurities and so many obstacles proving them. But they got over every and each one to be together, and they deserved it so much after everything!
Claire was great, a character I loved reading about. And Bastian was always a mistery I wanted around!
It was an active and great story, not just this book, but the whole series.
The only reason I'm giving 4 stars for this one is because I still need some answers! What happened to Jackson? What pull did Claire have over him? What did Derek promise? What about Dante and Angela? And Sam's memory? Why are they still worried about Claire?
I loved the series and I loved the characters. I hope Mallory considers writing a novel or some extra scenes for those questions...and just to bring them back! I'm quite attached to the characters and the story!
Wow, what an ending, after reading the other four and leaving us all in suspense, we can all now have a sigh of relief. For those of you who have not read the other three as much as I would like to, alas I could and will not ruin such a great read for all.
The only thing I will say is Samantha and Derek along with Claire can make one hell of an impact. Of cause lets not keep Angela (another mortal) and Dante and Bastian out of this loop, together they can throw a party that all will never forget. If for those of you who have kept up and know what happened in part four then you will be just as surprised as I was to see what happens next.
Mal thank you so much for The Bewitching Hour Series, there is a lot of questions that were running through my head that have been answered. This is what I will say for those who have not had the fortunate pleasure to read this series then all I can say is this, you will be captivated, enchanted, curious which will keep you turning every page just to see how it ends. Or if it does?
I was quite fortunate to receive this as an ARC, let me reassure you this series is like bewitched with more excitement and a punch like you have never seen before.
I received a free complimentary book and voluntarily reviewed it.
This is the fifth book in Mallory Crowe’s The Bewitching Hour series, and it is the final book in this series.
Ms. Crowe definitely ends this series with a bang! There is a lot of action in this book, and so many twists and turns that you will have a hard time trying to figure out where and when you can take a break. This is not the usual suspense book where you need to look for “whodunit.” Instead, in this novel, the characters are trying figure out how to undo a magical complication that is disrupting all of the characters.
The first chapter grabs you immediately. Then, the rest of the book keeps you on the edge of your seat with non-stop action and chaos. Every character in the series is involved in this book, and nobody is immune to the danger and the suffering that is part of the perplexity of how to undo the magical mess that is causing so much trouble.
Warning: This book is not a stand-alone. You must have read the entire series first.
Good news: If you have not read the other books yet, everyone of them is already in your favorite bookstore and ready for you to buy. That means that you can read them all at once.
I am not usually a paranormal reader, but I loved this series.
Stars >>>>>I voluntarily reviewed an >>>>>I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Review Copy of this book<<<<< The conclusion to this series is so sad but I love the storyline and hate to see it ends. The name is appropriate for the Intense and gripping actions that occur as Derek, Sam and Claire sought answers or ways to the contain darkness. It appears every corner produced hidden danger making it hard for me to put the book down. Derek Pierce had been known for the complicated laws of the criminal world but his life was immediately changed when he was returned from the dead. He is thrust into an unknown position as a weapon against the deadly darkness. Samantha Harris has always wanted to stay away from her inheritance until she is given her grandmother (Claudia) power. This is a new arena for her and she needs all the help available to subdue the darkness rampaging within her mothers (Abigail) body. Can they solve the mystery behind the darkness? Will Derek learn what his new mission is? What will Samantha do with her new authority and power? This is definitely a must read! I'm hoping to see a novella on the series soon.
Incredible! Outstanding! Thrilling! Hot!! All the words to describe just how wonderful this book and series truly is! I have always been a huge fan of all Mallory Crowe's books and series, and it is way too hard to choose just one as my favorite, but wow! I think she hit a home run with the Bewitching Hour. Sam and Derek are just perfect for each other in every way and they weren't going to let a little thing like death keep them apart. Raise Hell is a whirlwind of action, suspense, and of course romance. What's not to love!
I felt so bad for Claire in this book though. She seemed to finally be getting better, and then one thing after another kept pushing her back down and now I wonder what will happen when she goes to New Orleans... It seems that we may be getting a spinoff series with her ?? (I say with a hopeful voice), and hopefully, if that is the case, we will get to see more of a Sam and Derek too. I just don't want it to end. I need more!
I highly recommend this book, series and author.
I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own.
Raise Hell is the fabulous and final addition to The Bewitching Hour series and it continues his intriguing suspense .Putting the pieces together seemed easy when learning certain things by the previous stories . But at the end ,the reality is quite different because not everything is as it seems. And that , you will quickly discover by reading this last gripping book .I still had a few unanswered questions when I finished this story....but wow , what an end !! Mallory Crowe amazes me each time with how she's able to deliver such unique stories within this series and still stay true to the characters we've met and grown with through all stories of The Bewitching Hour series . I loved the world Mall created for us and loved each and every book .The characters of Derek and Sam will remain probably two of my favorites from this series .If you enjoy fantasy reads mixed with some witchcraft , suspense, action and romance, well this series is highly recommend . I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this awesome book .
Just - WOW! I guess witches are just people after all - albeit very powerful, but still living within unwritten rules, and capable of anything for love or hate, life or death, riches or power. The stronger rule the weaker, some are good and some are bad. Everybody must choose a side - and pay the price.
Sam chooses Derek, come hell or high water. Derek chooses Sam, for better or for worse. Whatever the price, they never give up on each other, and they are so lucky to have the help and loyalty of friends.
The only thing is - I don't feel this series is over; there are a few questions that just need to be answered, be it a next book or a spin off series. So I'll wait for those nagging things to be clarified, especially what's the price Derek agreed to pay, what happens to the hellhounds, how does Sam establish herself... you know, everything.
Excellent read! I voluntarily reviewed a free ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion.
This is Raise Hell, book 5 of The Bewitching Series, written by Mallory Crowe. This series has had so many plot twists and turns that it could give you whiplash. Mallory never missed a trick and turned me inside out from beginning to the end. Samantha is a witch with not much more to lose. That’s a dangerous situation for anyone surrounding her. Derek is the detective that Sam is in love with. Will they be able to band together to bring down the darkness? Can the darkness be defeated without killing another of Sam’s family? Will a woman with nothing and no one left to lose be able to complete her mission? This a a captivating series! I received an advance readers copy and chose voluntarily to leave this review.
Raise Hell is the fifth and final book in the Bewitching Hour series. This should not be read as a standalone as it starts where the cliffhanger ended in Book Four. There is violence and witch craft. There are hot steamy sex scenes so 18+.
The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that all of that info here. This book had a twist on the typical storyline, which I liked. The witch families remind me of mafia families which makes this storyline more interesting. The author did a good job of describing the setting and making the main characters (Sam and Derek) relatable. Overall this is a good series and worth the time spent reading it. As this is the last book in the series which made this book bittersweet to read.
This book was really good the only reason for my four stars and not five is because it's the conclusion of the series and for me you have to have read the others to enjoy it fully. Don't get me wrong it's a wonderful conclusion to a great series. It's very well written and has a great storyline with a very good writing style and once you start reading this you won't put it down until you have finished.
It's both suspenseful and thrilling and the chemistry is very good, by good I mean hot! I have loved this series and I loved this book but as previously stated I recommend reading them in order.
I loved this book but the happy for now ending for Sam and Derek just left a lot of unanswered questions which prevented the last star. I believe we could have a mini book, epilogue which would help finish the series off completed. Is this because I loved the series and didn't want it to end probably. I would love to know what deal Derek made with the devil to free Sams mum, why Derek and Claire can't be near each other without problems. Why does Derek have two hellhound protectors/pets. What's the real reason Claire and Dante aren't together and does it have anything to do with Jackson who could be on the sidelines stirring things up. The list is endless.

This review was difficult to write without Spoiler Alerts. I finally was able to avoid them, Lol.
So, what I will say is the book left me on the edge of my seat throughout. This is not your basic romantic suspense book. It was exciting, fast paced, thrilling, and intense. You still got Derek and Sam's romance, and some answers to some questions. What an end to a series!
But then, you have to wonder, is it really the end? What did Derek offer?
I voluntarily read and reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy.
The Final Fight. Another exciting, fast-paced adventure which had me hooked till the very end. The story concludes with a HFN ending. Personally, I would have liked an epilogue, several years into the future with Sam settled into her new role and perhaps with children. Note: this is NOT a standalone book but a conclusion to a series. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
This is the first book in the series that I have read. I can definitely say I wish I had read the others first. It was such a great story that makes me really want to know what happened before. I will be going back and reading the first four books when I get a chance and highly recommend someone new to the series to start with book one. Needless to say, even with feeling a little lost at times, I could not put this down. I really enjoyed this one. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
I couldn't wait to see how this series ended, and this book did not disappoint. There were so many plot twists and turns that made it hard to predict how it would end. We receive a lot of answers to so many questions held open through the first 4 books. But...we're also left with some unfinished business at the end of this book, which leaves things open for novellas? I'd certainly read them to find out more! Loved Sam and Derek's devotion to each other throughout this series...that storyline did not disappoint!
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Raise Hell, The Bewitching Hour serial series, book five by Mallory Crowe. I believe this is to be the final book of the series, but there was a lot of unanswered questions in the end. Makes me think there is going to be a spin off from this series. This has been a series with cliffhangers, fantastic characters and a wonderful storyline. Definitely a must read series if you don't mind cliffhangers.
Oh wow! I enjoyed reading this book! I'm really bummed though as I want to read more about these characters. I feel that the story is not finished with so many unanswered questions. We need more Mallory! This installment in the series was one of the best out of the five books. There's romance, suspense, and action all rolled into one! Hopefully, Mallory will consider writing more about these characters. I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I loved reading the exciting and amazing fifth book in The Bewitching Hour series. As Derek is getting used to being called back from the dead, he acquires two hell hounds. Sam, Derek, Clair, Dante, Bastion, and Angela all must join together to fight the Darkness growing by leaps and bounds in and around Sam's mom, Abigail, even if it means having to talk to the dead, Jackson. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written full of action and romance, and a must read.
Its always alittle sad to see a series end, especially when the storyline and characters are absolutely captivating! I loved every second I was absorbed in these pages. The series was beautifully written and it just flowed so well. I definitely recommend it. This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy
What a great series that is full of suspense, mystery, witches, and you get the idea. I'm sad to see that the series is over, since I'm still left with questions, though I'm optimistic that there could be possible novellas to fill in the blanks. I highly recommend this series but you'll need to read them all to really get the full enjoyment. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy!
Great series! I'm so sad to see it end :( Mallory had yet to let me down . I really can't say much about this book without giving anything away since it's the last one. Derek and Dan have been 'upgraded' so to speak. They still have that deep connection that makes everything tick. I loved this series and this book ended well. If I could I would keep it going. Enjoy!!
This is the final installment of the "Bewitching Hour" series. Mallory Crowe did it again! What a perfect ending to the incredibly bewitching tale! The story is so intense, so gripping, it kept me glued to my kindle till the last word. Breathtaking!
The story kept a fast pace and I was happy with how it concluded. I did feel like the story was a bit rushed at the end. Hoping we get to see more from other characters in the series. A great series!!
Love this series!! This book wraps up the series and was fantastic. It had an edge that will keep you reading. Mallory Crowe has written one fantastic series.
I have only one sentence for this last book: A Fantastic Ending for this Fabulous Series. A job well done Mallory! Received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I really enjoyed this series but I felt that there were still too many questions unanswered. Hopefully there will be another so all the questions can be answered.
