About the author

Maitha AlKhayat is an Emirati mother of five children and an international children’s author and illustrator. She published more than 170 publications, some translated into English, Turkish and Italian. She delights children with her quirky yet cultural stories through interactive storytelling and workshops. Her award winning books are “My Own Special Way” and “Turn Off The Lights”. Her illustrations of “Father’s Date Palm Trees” was shortlisted for best picture book at Zayed Book Award 2020. Maitha enjoys traveling, cooking and even writing children’s TV shows like Iftah Ya Simsim, Sesame Street and Hamdoon; Emirati animation.

Love in Ramadan is a cute book with a beautiful storyline focusing on love, compassion, kindness, charity, respect, community, togetherness, and so much more. It is a simple story with so many elements of goodness in it, that it makes one love the book instantly.

The Emirati author has not only penned an innocent story, but has also adorably illustrated it with simplicity.

Love in Ramadan shows exactly what Ramadan is about–a month of love, compassion, kindness, forgiveness, community, and togetherness.

في ليالي رمضان تفتح أختي هناء شباك غرفتها فجراً وتخرج منظارها بحثا عن شيئ تحبه. وتقول : أحب مطالعة النجوم وهي تنير السماء.
