What we've got here is a romance build between to headstrong people used to getting what they want and being in control ... let the games begin :)

Excellent story with ridiculous chemistry! I loved that both Zane and Bea were self-assured leads. It made the spark sizzle between them. Their interactions kept me glued to my kindle! Their story is humorous as well as sexy and full of heart. Definitely a winner for me!

Melanie Munton’s Contemporary Romance, Casual Affair is an entertaining novel where the female protagonist is determined to live commitment free—Bea Paxton is smart, funny and driven to succeed professionally. Interior designer Bea likes the temporary relationship world. Everything changes when she is hired by Zane Price to design his D.C. store. The charming Brit is only in the U.S until the completion o

-Confident and sassy heroine
-Instant attraction that was off the charts
-Fun and faced paced read

I like how these two meet. It was unique and both characters were fun. Some resisting, but they couldn't seem to keep their hands off each other. The end was pretty angsty, but overall a lighter read. This is a very safe read with no abuse or other woman/men drama. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Bea is a bit of a free spirit and as such her dalliances with men are always temporary. No commitment. No love. She's been hurt before and her rules are in place to protect herself. When she meets Zane he meets all her, has an accent, and jackpot...his visit is only temporary.

The catch? He's a client, a very big one, and he refuses to abide by her rules. As Zane and Bea begin spending more time together while she completes the job he hired her for, their chemistry is undeniable a

Zane gives some good darn answers:
“And you’re still on top of me, why?”
“Because part of me is quite comfortable here,” he admitted. “And a different part of me is about to be in a world of pain once I move. I’m trying to decide which part I should listen to.”
I liked this book, I loved when Zane and Bea would bump heads.

He knows what he wants and is not above playing dirty to get it. She knows what she needs and that's not some smooth talking, sexy British playboy. Not only would it be bad for business, it could be detrimental to her heart. She can't afford to let her hormones write a check her heart can't cash. He refuses to walk away from a woman as intriguing as she is frustrating. Let the battle begin. Casual Affair is creatively smart, immensely sexy and the dialogue is the best in naughty word play. Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. It was Ok, they both annoyed me to a certain degree. I think they forgot that they were adults and had to let things go. Bea was hurt by an ex-boyfriend when she was in college and she ended up holding on to that resentment and living her life by not getting into any relationships because of it. Then she meet Zane, a handsome Brit, and she is extremely attracted to, but she does not want to mix business with pleasure, however they do not really s ...more

Completely addictive, Casual Affair had me hooked from the first few pages. A sexy Brit and a sassy southern gal take the spotlight in Casual Affair.

Zane and Bea are very similar, both are independent thinkers and a bit controlling. Their dialogue is full of wit and just so much fun to read. Real fears can unexpectedly get in the way of life, and this story highlights that.

The connection and the chemistry between the two was off the charts. The book is paced evenly, and I'm SO hoping we get mo

The very first sentences set the tone for, Casual Affair. Hot, in a single word. I was impressed that Bea held out as long as she did, after seeing the chemistry that they share during their first meeting.
Some of the sayings made me laugh so hard. I was at a restaurant reading at one point, and the lady next to me said she just had to know what book could make me laugh like that because she has to buy it.

Bea Paxton loves life, her career as an interior designer and to keep her relationships with men casual to keep herself from ever being hurt again. So, her new client Zane Price is just the right man to have a fling with. She finds she can have fun and keep her heart from getting involved, because he'll only be in the country until she finishes the job she's been hired to do for him. However, the more time Bea spends with him, the more she finds herself getting attached. Will Zane be able to con

Oh my gosh these two steamed up the pages within the first couple of pages. There was so much sexual banter between these two that it made it fun to see when they actually got together. There were a few instances I was laughing out loud. Especially when Bea was trying to have an open dialogue between her brain and vagina. The brain saying no bad idea and the vagina saying this is an excellent idea. Bea trying to keep things professional between her and Zane. Zane is bas

Bea Paxton loves the interior design business that she started with her sister, having fun, and men. As in plural, because she likes being in charge, and that means no relationships. This ensures that she never gets hurt again. But all of that goes out the window when she meets her new client, Zane Price. He's hot, built, and British, not to mention that he will go back to England. So other than being her biggest client, he's the perfect hook up. Unfortunately, he decided he wanted her the momen ...more

This story had me hooked from the very first scene to the final full stop. Melanie Munton is a new to me author, but I am going to now read every book she has ever published.
The uniqueness in Bea's & Zane's initial meeting set the tone for the rest of the book. Bea doesn't do relationships. At all. Although she finds herself attracted to Zane, she tries to stay professional with him due to his company hiring hers to design and decorate his

Sexy, Sizzling & Fun! This was fun and sexy from the get go! Laugh out loud dialogue with plenty of sexy, witty banter this story captured my attention from the start and held it till the end. These two can not keep their eyes off of each other and their chemistry is sizzling hot! But with a important job on the line, Beatrice Paxton, the beautiful, sexy, passionate, as well as stubborn, southern interior designer is trying to keep her sizzling attraction to the British, sexy, hunk of a cont ...more

I loved Bea’s ethos on her love life; keep it casual, don’t get serious and concentrate on your career. She then meets Zane Price who’s British (I did think Zane was quite and un-British name being a Brit myself but hey-ho). She immediately falls in lust with Zane, but he’s effectively her boss and her biggest client but Zane is moving back to England very soon though so he becomes even more of a temptation for a something short, sexy and very sweet. Couldn’t be more perfect.

Casual Affair is sexy and sweet. Bea is a free spirited interior designer who finally meets the man to make her re-think her stance on no relationships, no commitments. When she meets Zane, hot, British Zane, she's thinking how sexy he is, but he's a potential client and mixing business with pleasure is never a good idea. Somehow he overrides any objections she has and they get involved in a fun, no strings affair. But, when Zane starts to ask for more, starts to make her feel more, how will Bea ...more

Zane and Bea have chemistry from the first time they meet...on a paintball field during a job interview. Zane wants her from the beginning, but Bea is determined not to mix business and pleasure. Her design contract with Zane's company is her big break, and she doesn't want to lose it because of sleeping with the boss. The only thing is that Zane doesn't seem to agree. He is patient, but only able to wait so long before he makes his move. Will Bea be able to resist?

Bea Paxton is on a strange job interview. Zane Price has arranged for her to join him in playing paintball. She has never had such a strange interview in her life. Zane's company needs an interior decorating company to help him set up his flagship stores in the US. His company is from the UK and he needs local help. Bea really wants to work for the sexy Brit, but she doesn't know what to think of the weird interview. Once the second one is done she has a clear view. Can she keep it strictly busi ...more

This is the first book from this author that I've read, and I must say, I really enjoyed it. Loved the passion filled chemistry between Zane and Bea, it really gave the story some great depth and humor with the interaction these two had. Found it a bit weird with Zane's reason for not wanting to leave London, although I can understand the guilt he felt all those years. Loved Felicity and Peter, great accompaniment to the two main characters. Really great read, lots of hot, steamy, off the charts ...more

This was a fun book. Bea was spunky and determined. Zane was dominant and controlling. Both competitive, both accomplished, it was an interesting mix.

This is not an incredibly complex story. No suspense or off-the-rails drama. It's simply two people working out their personal issues to find the path to be together.

The writing was engaging. Witty. The banter between them was zingy and fun. This is one of the best parts of the book. And they had lots of steamy fun.

Definitely would recommend this

This book was a tough one to review. I didn't hate it, but I also didn't really like it. Somehow I just couldn't connect to either of the characters. The writing wasn't bad and the plot was pretty interesting, but it could've been better. I don't know exactly what I was missing. I just know I'd been expecting more of this book. Not a bad read, but also not a book I'd read twice.

Casual Affair is a book full of chemistry between the two main characters, Zane and Bea. I found this book to have lots of steamy love scenes. The supporting characters help add to the story and depth to the main characters. I loved the setting and plot line because they go remarkably together. Overall, this is a good romantic read that I enjoyed reading.

I like that Bea is so independent but she has a bit of a commitment phobia. The banter between her and Zane is sizzling and fun. I love it. Zane does take a few hits and I do feel bad for him in a couple of places, and in some respects with his control issues, some of the time he is deserving. Luckily in the end I get my happy. Thank you to Net Galley for my review copy.

This was one of those stories that jumped right off the pages at me. The initial attraction between the two was hot, the sassiness of the heroine was fun and the hero was a sexy british man who went after what he wanted. It was a quick, fun read and I loved how it ended.
