Ugh I should have learned from my previous experiences with this author but I'm so stupid I keep giving her a chance and every time I get burned.
Anyway..
The heroine is 31 years and she had a ons nothin wrong with that right? Well she gets pregnant nothing wrong with that either right? Predictable 😒
She goes to her dads to tell them about her pregnancy and they treated her like she was 16 years old girl who just gotten pregnant. 🙄
Hero is 24 years old who's a manwhore who doesn't see anything wrong with this as long as he wraps his d*ck!! Well he gets the heroine pregnant and he tells the heroine to leave when she goes to inform him about the pregnancy and doesn't call her for 2 weeks until her brother called him to tell him she was in the hospital feeling sick.
He then thinks about it and he told the heroine he wants to be in his child life, good for him right? Well this doesn't last long, he doesn't want to be a father he calls the heroine to tell her this but after that call he's regretting it but still doesn't go looking for the heroine. Weak ass pansy little b*tch if you ask me.
Well he should have wrapped his d*ck with 5 condoms then or he should have a vasectomy or better f%#*ing yet he shouldn't have never had f#%*ing sex with any willing woman.
I saw the miscarriage from a mile away. 🙄 And now he's crying like a little b*tch that he is but if he actually wanted the baby why wait until she loses it so he can go and see her.?
But that's fine, don't worry he's thinking about his child when he runs back to the heroine and he wants to talk to her because if he doesn't talk to her then he wouldn't be able to f%#k his way around again or the heroine for that matter.
Let's give the guy a medal.. And a round of applause 👏🏻.. Amazing hero alert here. All he can think about is having sex with someone else or f#%*ing the heroine again minutes after finding out that they lost their baby.

There's also his best friend telling her that he shares women with him and he wants a threesome with her and the hero and his hookups telling her too that they want to share him with her.

I received an advanced review copy from the author for a fair and honest review.
A three star review because the book was very well written and I love the family aspect and the cats!!!!! However I couldn't rate any higher because of Joe and because of him I wanted to give a two star.
The age difference wasn't a big deal for me because I have the same with my husband. But Joe shows his immaturity several times in this book. He's a runner when he freaks out and that was just washed under the bus. Then we have Chloe who gives forgiveness so easily and even apologizes when really there was no need!
Then we have Joe's friend Chris. Here is an example where Joe shows his age. Making excuses for this kid was absolutely ridiculous. He should have been punched out. And why on earth did Joe think Chloe would fit in with his "scene"???? Why would he put her in a situation where he knew there would be things that would make her uncomfortable?? Again, an example of his immaturity. And another wash under the bus.
What did this couple have in common besides great sex and family????
Oh and Joe takes the award for giving Mixed Signals.

I rarely write reviews for stories bellow 4 stars. Why is that? Reading and liking a book is subjective. If I can't give a 4 star and higher, I most certainly didn't finish it. What can I say, I'm like that. So after all this said, I loved Unexpected Love. Why did I love it? It had a storyline that grabbed my heart, mind ,body and soul. I felt so much while reading it because I felt all the pain they were feeling. Because I was there at some point in my life. This 5 star story was quite an emotional journey.
Some might think I'm biased, maybe but I don't think so because if I wouldn't like Evan's stories, I would tell her so. As I mentioned above I don't write reviews for books I don't like. I got the story half way through being written and I asked her if she had a beta team, and she said no. I was impressed because I couldn't find anything wrong with the story. It was perfect.
I loved the storyline because it was raw and full of pure emotions. The level of writing from this author comes from the heart. I can see it in her writing that she loves it. It as angst and drama but not overly so that I might get tired of it. This story never lacked entertainment, there was never a dull moment in sight. I love stories that are straight to the point without the excessive fill in writing just to fill the pages.
This story is a very emotional one. Because some of the events in the book happen in real life so it makes it so real. The author made me fall in love with Joe and Chloe many times over even if I wanted to throw my kindle at Joe a time or two. These characters stand out and are perfectly uniquely crafted from a creative mind. I personally think books from a series should all be all unique and different, well they are. I don't always remember stories that I read last summer but books from the Love Stings series, I do.
Trust me this a must read story. Standalone told in a dual POV with a great HEA.

I have been falling in love with Evan Grace’s writing and Unexpected Love was just as amazing as the rest of her stories! I love that she wrote a book of an older woman and younger man. I really enjoyed the chemistry of Chloe and Joe. They played very well off each other and just worked. The twists that are tossed in just solidify that for me and I really loved the concept of this story.
Overall, I really enjoyed the whole story and the character build. Gave me a strong sense of connection to the book as well. If you haven’t read any of Grace’s stories, I would recommend them in a heartbeat. This book really got me going!

This author knows how to bring me to my knees. I always find myself on an emotional ride when I get into one of Evan Grace’s books, but this one was especially heartbreaking. Having lived through some of the same experiences that Chloe and Joe endured, I felt for them with my whole heart and soul.
The angst and sadness in the story isn’t over the top outrageous for shock factor, it is genuine human reactions to tough situations. As always, this author handles very tough topics with grace and ease, while maintaining the emotional intensity of the story throughout.
Joe and Chloe were an odd match for me, but as the story progressed my heart opened to them and I was rooting for their happiness. Though I usually prefer when the man is the older party in the age-difference relationship trope, I thought they fit well together. The chemistry between them felt real and never forced, though they did everything backwards. What was supposed to be a one night stand, eventually turned into a strong friendship and a forever kind of love.
The huge, supportive families in this Love Stings series are wonderful and I love to catch up with some of the characters from previous books in the series (although you don’t need to have read them to enjoy this book).
Have some tissues (or wine or chocolate) handy to get you through some of the devastatingly sad parts, you’ll be so glad you stuck it out. Great ending. Fabulous epilogues.

This book was my first Evan Grace book and I must admit that at first it was a bit like going to a party, not knowing anyone, but still having a blast. It took me a bit to figure out the peripheral characters but once they were slotted I could concentrate on Joe and Chloe.
I can best describe these two as "relationship challenged". Chloe because of negative past relationships and Joe because he was a handsome young buck, emphasis on the young. How they grow into a couple is angst filled as they each question the feelings they are developing in completely different ways. It really takes Joe's growing maturity and Chloe's growing self confidence to make it work, and happily, they did.
I will be reading more of this author's works.

Ok Evan Grace is another automatic one-click author for me so when I get the chance to read any of her books early I'm all over that!! She's one of those authors that you know though that you better be ready to have some tissues ready and this book was no different! Although I didn't expect to need the tissues as much as I did in this one but for some reason this book just got to me on such a deeper level than some in a while. Joe and Chloe will not only make you laugh and get you really hot under the collar but will break your heart and put it back together only to break it all over again and put it back together. But that's a lot like life isn't it? You have the good with the bad,the ups and downs,the people who come into your life that's meant to be who you never realize will be so important to you in the big span of things. And that's what I love the most about Evan's books is that it's life, it could be my story or your story,the good,the bad and the ugly.
Of course if you've read any of her books you kind of know who Joe and Chloe are but don't worry if you haven't because she gives just enough of the background story to one remind us all and two let the rest of you guys know what is up. Even though I do recommend reading in order just for the shear enjoyment of these books!!! Of course the secondary characters we've met some but even if you haven't you are going to love all of them and are going to want to read their book if you haven't and want their book if they don't have one, they are all that great. I really can't say enough about this book without giving spoilers away and of course if you read my reviews at all you know I don't do that!! But I will tell you to read Evan Grace's books!!! Every single one of them!!! I highly recommend them and of course this one since it's the one I am reviewing at the moment.

A night with an attractive older woman? Why not? Joe didn't think much about his one night with Chloe at his cousin's wedding. This young man loved having his fun and what's a night with a woman you've always thought was good looking? Who knew his life would change forever. I mean forever. This man couldn't wrap his mind around Chloe, this older woman has his head spinning.
Chloe hasn't been with a man in a year or so and the last one made her feel like dirt, so when a younger very sexy cop comes on to her, she thinks its a great time to get back in the game. Who knew the emotional roller coaster that would follow? Who knew that her yearning for everything she didn't know she even wanted would come to the front of her mind?
At around 25% I thought seriously these two were not going to be together. They kept talking about getting to know each other and they could make life work together but not 'be' together. I kept wondering where is Evan going with this one? Would she put them on a path to find other people because their time together didn't work? They spent a lot of this book with hot physical chemistry but the timing just didn't work.
When this young man though decides its time to get off the pot and make a life with Chloe or he will lose her forever, he makes a great move and an effort to be what she needs. I loved that when she was at her weakest and even her dads couldn't get her to eat or sleep, when Joe shows up, she does. He calms her. He takes care of her without even realizing it. I loved everything about this book and am thankful for such a good epilogue showing us that after such tragedy you can have your happily after after and love can make it all better.

Unexpected Love is the fourth book in the series, you’ve already met this stories couple before they were together. Going into this story I already liked Joe and Chloe but I didn’t know if I would like them together, but once again Grace shocked me and proved they were right for each other. Both Joe and Chloe are fun easy-going people but they experience heartache. So here is my warning label: if you can’t handle miscarriages, I don’t recommend this story. If it’s hard but you are willing to take a chance, please do so. Unexpected Love is a fantastic story that may help one heal or help one understand.
Chloe hasn’t been with anyone for quite some time. The last guy may have taken a kick at her self- esteem. When she has the opportunity to sleep with Joe she takes it. Only problem is she’s seven years his senior, how could a one-night stand turn into something more when she’s so much older?
Joe is living his life like most twenty-four-year-old guys, he’s having fun. Once he hooks up with Chloe though she’s the only one he can think about. When Chloe shows up at his door telling him she’s pregnant, Joe is equal parts excited and terrified. When Chloe loses the baby both hurt, but at the same time it pulls them closer together.
Joe and Chloe have an uphill battle to fight to make it together. Unexpected Love is equal parts light and serious. You get a little bit of previous characters you might have fallen for and learn more about ones you hardly know. I love Chloe’s brother and can’t wait for his story. Take a journey with Joe and Chloe and unexpectantly fall in love.

I love this series with interconnecting characters. You do not need to read the previous stories, but you will get more enjoyment knowing all the players.
Chloe and Joe know who each other are but have never really connected...until one night. What neither of them were looking for finds them. What follows is an emotional story about working past your doubts and fears and embracing what life places in your path.
Both main characters have wonderful and supporting families. I loved that Chloe designs jewelry, as well as sings in a band. I would say she is the emotionally strong one in the relationship. Joe ...Joe, well he's 24 and acts it. Joe is the reason I took away 1/2 star. There was more than one occasion that I wanted to punch the guy, but two really stood out. I understood his reaction the first time but the second time ...nope. If you love someone you would/should never put them in a position that would hurt them either physically or emotionally. I did love how they made the effort to "be together" even being 4 hours apart. There is always one part of a book I love to get a visual of in my head - in this case it's Ragnar and Lagertha. I want them! LOL Can these two work past all the obstacles in their path? Are they really meant to be together? Who are Ragnar and Lagertha? Guess you should give this a read and find out.
Overall, this is a great addition to the series and another wonderful story.

Wow!!! This book is so many things, but mostly it has sexy swoony alpha written all over it! Joe is cocky player who has the hots for the sexy sassy Chloe. At his cousin's wedding he runs into the beautiful Chloe, but he can't bring himself to make a move. As you read it there are times you are so angry you want to reach inside the book & smack the characters to wake up. Then there are times you're in tears and feel so terrible for what is happening that it almost feels like it's happening to yourself.

Unexpected Love – Love Stings Book 4 by Evan Grace – 4 stars
This is the fourth book in the Love Stings Series and while it can absolutely be read as a stand-alone I recommend reading the series because there are a lot of background characters that have already been established and I think it would give a richer reading experience. But if you don’t have time to read the whole series, I still absolutely recommend this book.
Chloe and Joe have a cousin in common. They are NOT related but have seen each other at family events. One fateful night they hook up and it was supposed to end there - but it doesn’t. The path to their destiny is filled with misunderstandings, immaturity, HOT HOT SEX, tragedy and oh so much more. Unexpected Love is written with the same weight and depth as the others books in this series but I wanted to yell at these characters more than I have at other characters in the past. The fact that it evokes emotions and feelings is good, right?
Evan Grace is a one click author for me. I enjoy the way she writes, the common thread of family through each book and the fact that each can be read as a stand-alone.

I have read every book in The Love Stings series by Evan Grace and book 4 is now my favourite.
Going in I was a bit apprehensive as I am not normally a fan of the older woman/younger man trope. But I think Evan has definitely swayed my opinion.
I think what helped is that Joe is a very mature young man. Being in law enforcement has made him wiser than his years.
There is quite a heartbreaking moment in this book that had me in tears, but the way both Chloe & Joe overcame this was beautiful. No it wasn't all plain sailing, both said things and reacted harshly but I think these emotions they both displayed were only human responses.
Beautifully written and super sexy I cannot wait to read Carters story.

Reading an Evan Grace novel is like going through labour you are put through so much emotion but the end is so worth it and this book will grab you from the first chapter and take you on a wild ride.
The storyline is well written, will pull at your heart and have tears running down your face. I liked that it was the woman who was older (7 years) as you don't read many books that have the age gap this way, as always with Evan what happens in this book can and does happen in everyday life. You can't help but adore Joe and Chloe and root for them, yes there were a few times I wanted to reach in and give Joe a shake. For me that was good thing as at Joe's age you could understand even if you did want to hit him the way he reacted. I'm looking forward to see what Evan Grace gives us next.

I couldn't put it down, read this through the night. I just couldn't sleep not knowing what was going to happen with my new friends Chloe & Joe!

If you haven't read the Love Stings series, you need to. These books grab you by your heart and won't let go until the end.
This is Joe and Chloe's book and let me tell you these two are put through the paces but somehow they come out stronger in the end. I lived meeting new characters and catching up with the whole family.

amazing addition to a wonderful series! Joe and Chloe have a heartbreakingly beautiful story, their journey is not one that is easy but it is fought for and you will love every second of it. There are times where you want to smack some characters but that just makes the book even better it really draws your emotions and your heart into it! Great to catch up with the rest of the family members and see their family is growing and flourishing. Did receive an advanced copy for an honest review.

Unexpected Love is the first book I've read by Evan Grace! Picking it up it was easy to follow along and definitely had some tear jerking moments in it! There is love, there is loss and love again! I applaud the fact that there is no cheating but real life "shit storms" that the characters are dealing with and it makes you dig in more! It definitely kept you guessing and wanting to keep reading no matter how late it was!

This is an amazing story. This book was hard to put down. I love how Evan Grace is able to make the character and their situations so realistic. Chloe and Joe's story is an emotional one. I was crying at some part. Then there was some parts that had me laughing. Absolutely can't wait for the next one. This is an absolute must read!!!!!

I adored Chloe and Joe. From the first page they pull you in and I loved them more with every page. It was so much more than watching their relationship, it was the connection they had with their families. My heart broke with them at times, swooned, and the moments with their parents made my heart happy. This book will definitely be a top read of 2017

This is the perfect continuance to a fantastic series. I highly recommend not only this book, but the entire series. Chloe and Joe go through so much but unlike most romance novels, these are things so many others will be able to relate to. Once I started reading I was finished in just a few hours. This is a very quick read, do not hesitate to pick this one up!

Excellent book. Enjoyed reading Joe and Chloe's book. A wonderful contemporary romance that will bring some heart breaking tears but this is a HEA. Looking forward to the next book in this series
