This poignant story functions on a number of levels. It is a prequel to the novel "Finding Kate." It is a cautionary tale. It is a tale of inner strength. And as a short story it is perfect for when you need a quick reading fix!

I don't really understand the purpose of this short little book even though it is supposedly an introduction to Finding Kate. Why not just put it as the prologue to Finding Kate. Guess I now must read Finding Kate so I know how the pieces to the puzzle fit together.
