descriptionWhat do you know two 5-Star cover rating from yours truly in the same week. I LOVE this cover. Great representation of the story. Great use of graphics. Excellent composition and typography. Bright and eye-catching colors. Fabulous job.description

descriptionI enjoyed this one for the most part. The writing was good. The pace was good. I LOVED the entire cast of secondary characters. This was one of those books with a close knit family type plot, and I can't wait to read more books featuring all of Finn's brothers a

Melanie Blythe, a graphic artist and loner, has a feline visitor each morning. One morning the cat shows up with a witty, charming note attached to its collar. It's from Melanie's neighbor, Finn, a detective who is home on leave recovering from an accident. She learns that the cat visits him each afternoon and evening and they begin passing notes via cat collar. Their banter gets cuter and cuter and eventually they meet and sparks fly.

Romance? Check.
Suspense? Check.
Meet-cute? Check.
When I read the blurb, I basically thought this would be just the book for me!
Unfortunately, everything apart from the meet-cute fell flat to me.

Melanie and Finn just weren't likable characters to me. Melanie is so insecure, naive and far too trusting (she basically trusts everyone but Finn) and a bit of a grey mouse to be honest. I liked Finn better, and even though I'm usually quick to fall in love with male lead characters, he just

A cute romance story between Melanie, an artist and Finn, a detective. They are becoming friends when the same cat is visiting both at the same time.
Thank you Netgalley for this nice book.
Kate

According to Mel it’s all the cat's fault. I have one thing to say though and that is cats choose their owners and not the owner choosing the cat. The letters written between Melanie and Finn are a lot of fun especially written in the cat’s perspective.

Mel, Mel, Mel what is one to do with you, huh? She is so naïve when it comes to the big outside world and so trusting in other people. The cynic in me was rearing my head on every page. I liked her until she started acting as if she was in high s

Thanks to the author for providing a copy of this book via Netgalley

What a huge disappointment!
I really was about to DNF several times, but how it's a suspense romance I needed to know who was the "bad".

Hero: 2stars, and only because he was patient and sweet with heroine. He cheated on his last gf, he was condescending with heroine... Slut shaming here again

Heroine: 2 stars. Socially awkward, low

This book is a contemporary romance with some suspense. This is the first book in the DeLuca Family series. This series is going to be amazing and I can't wait. This storyline drew me in the beginning and kept me on my toes all the way through. This book will have you addicted from the very first page. It only took me a full day to devour this amazing book.

New author for me alert! I'd never heard of Amy Reece before this book but holy smokes this book was so so good. I love a good romantic suspense and Amy hit all my marks! Now that is how you start a series!

Watch Over is the first standalone novel in the DeLuca Family series and just wait until you meet Finn and Melanie... it was totally epic and Finn, he's one of those special guys. Sexy. Sweet. Suspenseful. Twisted. Intense. Fun. Their journey was everything y'all, just *sigh*.

Watch over me is a clean romance in the since that there is no graphic sex scenes but there is swearing.

Watch over me has the right amount of humor, romance mystery, family and love that will keep readers wanting more after they finish book one!

Amy Reece is able to create very likable characters who come to life as their lives are thrown together all because of a cat. The story has a very even flow that feels nautral as their relationship moves quickly though the story. This is a perfect book to

Cannot wait to read more, could not put this book down!
I love the way Author Amy Reece is able to put so much quintessential substance to all of her characters. The depth of each individual is what made this book so intriguing for me. The action and emotional connections make between characters for an amazing read. The family construct for both main individuals, only child for one and one of six siblings for the other is an eye opener for both sides. I recommend this to anyone who likes a bit of

Watch Over by Amy Reece has great chemistry between her characters. I cannot lie, the book really drew me in with how her characters started communicating through letters that they would attach to a cat’s collar. The cat seemed to like hanging out with the man (Finn) in the morning for breakfast and then would wander over to see the woman (Melanie) after she was done. The humor in the letters made me actually laugh out loud a few times, which ultimately had my husband asking me what I was laughi ...more

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, pain, twists & turns, suspense, and heartbreak.

This is Melanie and Finn’s story. Melanie is content with her life she has her own house, a career, and a cat. She knows a hot police officer lives down the street but she does not need a man. One day when her cat comes home with a note from that hot police officer things change. He’s a detective and is home recovering from a hit and run. As they get to know each other they

This was a very cute story, one I did enjoy. This was also my first read by this author. I liked the plot a lot the hero was a cop, heroine a writer. Lived a few house a way and communicated through notes which a cat delievered. I felt like the angst and passion was to much of a slow build.

Finn and Mel had a love story I wish I can have one day, as well as a relatable one. I felt like it was relatable and well written. Had a nice pace to it wasn't rushed and well perpetuated. Some scenes had so

Review for Watch Over
Book one of a 2 book series

5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a wonderful love at first site with a fatal attraction twist story. And a cat that was sent to save the day. Finn and Mel are neighbors. They meet while Finn is home rehabilitating after being hit by a car. Mel has recently moved to the neighborhood after her Aunt has passed away and left her the house.

Watch Over is a fun and engaging romance. It's typical of the genre. The addition of the cat gives it a little something extra. Fast read. If you like romance, you'll like it. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Between 3 and 4 stars but I don't know if it's enough to round up So we'll leave it at 3 stars for now. I liked it.

The writing was well paced, with the plot and the romance each building well. I loved their meet cute. The anonymous messages via kitty collar was a fun set-up. Honestly, best part of the whole story. It's fairly clean. Yes, there's some language and the characters are having sex, but it's all off screen. Behind closed doors, so to speak. Not too sweet, but not steamy.

Completely loved the romance in this book.
Finn and Mel are perfect for each other, true soulmates.
The writing is amazing and easy to read.
The plot was wonderful to read, and I adore that was the cat that brought them together.
I will definitely be reading more books of Amy Reece.

I devoured this book in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked Melanie and Finn. I liked how they got talking and the chemistry between them. I thought they were a cute couple and wanted them both to be happy. The stalking in this book had me on the edge of my seat but I will admit that I figured out who it was withi

Watch Over is the first book in The DeLuca Series by Amy Reece. This is a really fantastic romantic suspense, with mystery, danger, action, an unhinged stalker, humour, and a little violence.
Melanie Blythe is a graphic designer by day and a romance writer by night. She is fairly new to the town, but has everything she needs- a job she loves, Fluff- the dog, CJ her adopted cat, and a nice home in a great neighbourhood. Melanie had a relationship that ended badly a few years ago, and ever s

All I can say is… wow! I was hooked from the first page and read the book in one sitting. I really enjoyed Amy Reece’s new novel Watch Over

It all started with a cat…

Melanie aka Mel really came into her own during this book. She was a reclusive, shy, and ultimately very lonely woman. I think she would’ve stayed that way if Finn hadn’t sneaked his way into her life. She was lost and didn’t know it until Finn found her and broke her out of her shell.

Finn was a great hero. He was patient, kin

Melanie wasn’t a cat person, nor a dog person, but fate brought one of each into her life. And it was the cat’s fault that her life was turned upside down. The little “guard dog”, Fluff, had allowed the cat to come through the doggie door without challenge. Since the cat continued coming back, she bought a collar and tag for it and named it Cooper. The next day, Cooper returned with a humorous note in the collar, introducing the new neighbor two doors down. The two of them continued writing the ...more

The story Watch Over (The DeLuca Family Book 1) by Amy Reece is a romantic suspense book. It tells the story of Melanie Blythe and Detective Finn DeLuca.
